I wouldn’t get too excited about Whitfield. The last few words of this from the Giants Head of Medical stands out.

“… we’ll see how he progresses in the next couple of weeks.”
I think that you are reading too much in the definition of couple of weeks?
It will be 13 days since he played by the July 24th. Close enough.
No club can declare that their concussed player will play at the end of 12 days as they have to adhere to concussion protocol and tick off markers during this time.
“In that 12 days (or more) the player will initially rest, then undertake an individual graduated loading program and finally will make a graduated return to team training with periods of rest in between such sessions. In some instances (e.g. where clinical symptoms persist or reoccur over time) a longer period of recovery and rehabilitation will be the appropriate response, overseen by the club doctor.”
I am sure we will be informed of his progress during the next couple of weeks minus one day.
I hope you’re right CT!!
