Where and when: Adelaide Oval, Saturday, July 6, 4.05pm ACST
What it means for Adelaide: It’s a chance for the Crows to stay in touch with the top four, while putting themselves two games clear of the Power in the race towards the finals.
What it means for Port Adelaide: Hurting after last weekend’s shock loss to the Western Bulldogs, Showdown 47 carries extra weight for the Power, with tough games against Brisbane, Richmond and Greater Western Sydney in the next month.
The stat: The Crows have won seven of the past eight encounters with the Power to take an overall lead of 24-22 in the 46 meetings between the two South Australian clubs.
The match-up: Daniel Talia v Charlie Dixon
Talia is the Crows’ No.1 key defender in the Official AFL Player Ratings, up against Dixon, the Power’s premier key forward (198th). Dixon is returning to his best ahead of his third game back from missing 10 months with a badly broken leg.
It’s a big week for: Ken Hinkley
The Power coach publicly called his side out after last weekend’s loss to the Bulldogs, labelling it untrustworthy and unreliable. Hinkley will be demanding a torrid response against the cross-town rival, with the Power’s season hanging in the balance.
Thommo’s Tip: Adelaide by 10 points.

T/U: Get Lycett and play at R2, Setterfield at F6 and have to sit Gawn if he does play
T/D: Get Marshall and play in the forwards and get a donut if Gawn pulls out
Final teams taking a while to drop for this one
Update: Both teams go in as named
Boak may be a late late out.
Boak out very late
Got the VC on him, let the Game of Sloanes begin!
Same. Hope he goes big.
what does everyone think – play ROB or play Gawn? If Gawn does start, does he go down injured again???
What are the odds of both Dangerfield and Gawn being late-outs?
shhhhhhh do not tempt the SC Gods!!!
I’m afraid I must. 😛
It affects how I position my reinforcements. 😉
Boak out also comes under tempting the Gods Sal!!
looks like late out
boak for SPP
damn it
Boak out!!!!!
ahhhhhhhh FFFFFSSSSS … Boak late out … and he’s the one Fwd I cant cover as he’s not duel … FFS!!! I hate this game … Merrett spudded it due to head knock now a donut!!
With this sort of carnage likely to become a weekly occurrence from here, it almost makes you miss the byes!
its like 2 different games
pre bye is fun
post bye is like work’n for a crap boss n no pay
the one line I can’t cover fully is my FWDs – but only 1 forward – Boak. I have coverage on all the other lines, and setterfield can cover any of my forwards … but Boak … cruel game.
Feel for you Macca. You’ve been flying this year.
One week will not destroy you mate. Just don’t do anything stupid! That’s my bag 😉
Petitioning to reinstate best-18 scoring for the remainder of the season.
best start ive had all year
now boak out . no back up
gawn probably out , no back up
fantasy sport sux
It happens, its why we play , the annoy and joy, when things go wrong and more importantly right, feeling your pain
Rolled the dice Lycett to R2 Gawn to bench
Gawn – rest that ankle please
I’ll f#@%en spew if Gawn plays now.Got Westhoff covering Gawn, and a big fat zero thanks to Boak!
ahhhh crap B Smith now being played forward … are you kidding me Crows?? ,… will further kill his value … well, at least he is my E ….
Boak come on you gotta to be kidding me! What happen to him?
tight hammy or something in the warm up
SPP was all over it
might have been a pre meditated tactic
Boak…..oh no.
Praying to the SC gods that Danger and Cameron (WC) both play!!
F@#% Boak!!!!!!!
Lycett looks gone now too!!
Oh no this might be bad im on Twitter and Fanstasy Freako is reporting that Braydon Preuss has been withdrawn from Casey VFL match.
yep
lycett cactus , knee ,
can barely walk , on the bench
Westhoff into the ruck
With Gawn looking unlikely I bought in Westhoff for Setters.
He is sitting at R3.
Lycett back out there for now.
it be so devastating for people that bought lycett
No more injuries please! my team can’t handle it
maybe PCL for Lycett – but he is going to try to play on …
port saying PCL for lycett
gna put him back out there & see how it goes
O’Brien probably goes big now

i wonder if SC will throw in a few extra DP rookies next year
or maybe they’ll expect us to eat cake while paying for the privilege again
Is it worth trading Robbie Young to Jarrod Cameron to cover Boak??
7 trades left
Magnificent win by the bombers….I just got in. I see Boak is out….I must be the only pweson who doesn’t have him….hehehe.
Now, if Crows and Eagles win…that’s a perfect weekend for me and my bombres
It was great to watch Wighty!

If a players is a late out and was originally named you should get his projected total.
Tu or
TD.
No? The player didn’t play… why would you get a score?
that’s what emergencies are for
It’s going to be an interesting battle to see who are the top 6 forwards this year
At the start of the round;
Boak – 1584
Dunkley – 1507
Kelly – 1504
Walters – 1431
Daniel – 1430
Danger – 1409
Mundy – 1317
Billings – 1315
Lycett – 1305
Heeney- 1305
Marshall – 1301
Cameron, Ziebell, Hawkins
Daniel done, Boak our this week and Danger under the cloud.
Lycett – interesting
Could Heeney be making a run?
Marshall – solid
Might be time for a poll?
Finally the Hoff is starting to deliver after grabbing him instead of Dunkley in RD8. Hopefully Gawn misses so I can get Westhoff’s score as he is currently situated at R3.
Hope it pays Adam. BOAK OUT may also do your Robbie a favour. Seeing plenty of it.
Thanks allsaints. Had to deal with Daniel this week after grabbing him 3-4 rounds ago so grabbed D Mundy and traded X Duursma for S Hurn. Also grabbed Gawn in Rd14 so annoyed with his injury but able to cover it by switching the Hoff to R3 and W Setterfield to F6.
3 trades left and 180,000 remaining and planning to turn Hately into Hawkins/Menegola etc and keep Setterfield.
yeh
interesting to see next week if the hoff stays in the ruck
or if they bring ryder back
You never know, Lycett might be okay – he’s still playing (and beating ROB), after all.
Milera had a nice, SC-friendly half-back role until the week I brought him in. Since then he’s been playing forward. Bloody Pyke…
I swear coaches do this kind of thing deliberately!
Westhoff trying to singledhandedly make up for Boak’s doughnut. Go you beautiful bearded thing!!!!!
He’s doing a Rd1 on us. Been a while 😉
He’s new for me allsaints. What a trade!!
Sloane VC has failed…. who to chuck the C on?
Macrae T/U
J Kelly T/D
cmon sloane you spud
Great game of footy … AND Danger is in … at this stage – who knows what will happen in the warm up!!

66 is massive unders for Rocky.
sounds about right mate
average 88 over his last month before he was dropped
Rocky has been on a downward trajectory since he got knocked out
Didnt get a kick until game was done, flat tracker!.
brodie smith started in the backline this Q
Port totally dominating the whole field now it seems …
tex walker has to be the most over rated player in the AFL

1 x 90
3 x 80’s
1 x 70
2 x 60’s
2 x 50’s
4 x 40’s
F……. me
Josh Kennedy out now
SC can go & get F……………………
What’s Cameron JS like? 5 trades left .
TU Do the trade with Young
TD Take the donut
Was projecting 2544 before Boak pulled out
Rocky 95SC and 150DT.
Nothing odd about that?!?
grundy was 145 SC & 100 DT last night
Hardly any possesions till game was done , didn’t do much when game on the line in first half.
Supercoach scoring needs a tweak. Rucks do fuck all for such big scores
HO to advantage scores too much imo.
Awesome display by Port!! Great effort by Lycett looking like he was done in the first quarter as well.
