WHERE AND WHEN: GABBA at 4:35pm AEST
SUMMARY
The Lions broke one nine-year losing streak last week, and will be out to do so again when they host Sydney on Saturday. With Eric Hipwood kicking four goals, Hugh McCluggage playing his best game for the club and the two Daynes – Beams and Zorko – back to their best, Brisbane hammered Hawthorn by 56 points to defeat the Hawks for the first time since 2009 last Sunday. It’s been equally as long since they’ve tasted success against the Swans and this time around won’t be any easier, with John Longmire’s men fresh from successive wins over Hawthorn and Fremantle. Lance Franklin is back – another tantalising reunion for Luke Hodge – Jake Lloyd is fresh off a career-best 41 disposals, and Isaac Heeney continues to thrive with his increased midfield minutes. Brisbane has been highly competitive in all but one match this season, and will have to be at its best to challenge the professional Swans.

A winning SuperCoach team. That would be nice.
My team is full of potatoes.
At least I have pretzels .
VC – Buddy?
Will he go large?
T/U – Take Billings’ 69
T/D – Play Guelfi
Bank it
TU: take Phillips 58
TD: play Spargo
I haven’t watched Spargo play yet, but his first couple of scores in the system give me high hopes. Also asking the same question…
Play Spargo.
Not much to lose if he spuds it.
D6 ??
T-U – Cole
T-D – Ridley
Happy to have Stef Martin and Heeney in my side but not having Lloyd is starting to hurt. Just seems to have added some hardness to his game to get his cp’s up.
Not able to watch game…whats going on with buddy?
getting a bit frustrated and not finding his rhythm, Gardiner minding him. Its been a little bit wet and dewy out there too which hasn’t helped him.
Low scoring game, Buddy not really getting any good delivery, plus doesn’t look too interested.
too much red wine with his lobster , no matter , he’ll drive his Ferrari back to his penthouse after the game & have a well earned rest ..
I traded out Robinson this week.
Robbo….why are you doing this to me 🙁
Can you please trade out Billings shaggi.
I asked the community who to trade in for Libba after round 1.
Either Billings or Sicily.
Community said overwhelmingly to go Billings. My gut said go Sicily.
Dodged a bullet there
New beamer would go large, the pride of the man is a huge loss to the magpie community, what a credit to himself and his family.
And heres to you Mrs Robinson !!!
Brisbane improving which is great but i’m afraid umpiring is getting worse. One game completely different to the next. That 50 m penalty you would hate to lose a grand final for something like that.
G and D still gets your a fair way Wighty, thank god
