Where and when: TIO Stadium, 7:50pm (AEST)
Last time they met: R18 2019, Carlton 15.9 (99) DEF Gold Coast 11.9 (75)
What it means for Carlton: Need to win to keep their Top 8 dreams alive.
What it means for Gold Coast: Same.
Mottsy’s Tip: Blues coming off an inspirational win. Suns coming off a 4 day break. Blues by 30.

No late changes.
stacked up on blue players for the bye rounds sooooo kinda hoping they all go well tonight.
Heard two different Gold Coast Officials talking up Will Powell. Might be one to watch for next year.
suns look tired. They play a high pressure defense, tigers game may have taken it out o fthem
Petrevski-Seton has been a little under whelming of late
blues would want more from him this week
He’s not a defender!!
Gold Coast have no system going forward.
Kicks are really falling short for all players, except no. 13 for GC, gees he’s the best kick.
yeh
rowell is their only contested ball winner/ line breaker
most of the other suns play softer possession footy
God you’re clueless.
I am, but not about footy 😉
Not what I want to be seeing from Cottrell. 10 minutes into the 2nd and still yet to score any SC points 🙁
Lukiosius is going to get back to back tonnes for the first time ever
looking good for next year.
100% disposal efficiency at half time. So clean by foot, sets up a lot of their rebounding with some clutch switches. Really like this kid.
Wait til he goes forward in couple years
Already on the radar
Get him this year?
Adelaide should dangle pick #1 in front of Gold Coast for him. And also throw in next year’s first rounder plus some mega steak knives for Rankine, too.
Yep….reckon Tex would seal the deal!!!
Really ??
With Rowel back next year, and another couple of top shelf talent likely to be drafted.
Why would any Sun wan’t to leave for ‘SAd’elaide. ?
Agree FT. They just need one or 2 tweaks: another hard ball winner in the middle to help McPherson and Rowell , and let Touk Miller and Swallow do their things. Not really sold on King but their defensive half of Lucosius, Collins, Harbrow can compete. They look naive at time but this year they actually showed energy and progress. It is exciting for the AFL because if managed properly, they can make the finals in a year or two?
I think Ben King needs to play up the ground more, like a traditional Centre half forward, similar to the role Mihocek plays for the Pies.
Just play Rankine out of the goal square, they have enough decent kicks up field to hit him on the lead.
He’s worth way more than pick 1 plus GC don’t need any more picks or players for that matter since there list is oversized.
Lukiosius 73
Green 71
Rankine 34
Cripps 63
Dochety 48
Walsh 48
Forgot to trade out rankine prior to the game. Going to be low on funds for my upgrade now…
Thoughts on Boak @476K?
TU OR TD
I traded him in this round soooo thumbs up from me
Cottrell needs to finsh the game strong so he holds his spot, I got him for bench cover for the remainer of the season. So c’mon get some of the footy
Looking over the stats, finishing with 12 disposals isn’t too bad considering he was non existent the first 1/3 of the game.
Going at 42% DE but only 2 turnovers this match is an improvement.
Will be interesting to see what they do with him if Kennedy comes back next week. Really hoping they keep him in the side so he gets good experience
Any opinion on Docherty? With players like Lukosius and McDonald coming home strong, may be my final upgrade. Do you think he will pick up form?
I agree with the idea, in general I would look at bringing in someone that has had their bye. If that’s not a concern cause you have the byes covered gophereeeeet.
Yes Gra Pol, I have the byes covered (Thanks Macca’s planner) but some of the premos are like Docherty, so not really top 6-8.
