Posted this in trade talk but does Gawn still not playing change anything seeing as im planning on using the money saved with Williams to bring Gawn back in?
Trading out Sicily and McPherson . Have 11 trades and $396k itb before doing anything. These trades will leave me with 2.5 upgrades (currently have Bytel at M8, Draper at R2 and D.Smith F6)
TU: Williams and Parker with about $200k for future upgrade
TD: Lloyd and Parker with about $50k left.
Pretty much is it better to have the extra cash in the bank to get a proper R2/Gawn back or is Lloyd a must have even with Rampe out now?
With 3 best 18 scoring weeks in a row think it is worth splashing the cash this week. Might be able to cover Bytel and Draper on field for the next couple of weeks but this all depends how your team is set for the byes and if you’re playing for league or overall as well.
So Houston has really cooked my plans this week.
He will go but need to know who to bring in for him.
Also now that I’m not going “full-premo” due to having to sideways Houston, I’ll still have to field a rookie this week in either McKay or Serong.

T/D: Lloyd and field Serong in MID
Which MID to bring in:
TU: Parker +200k
TD: Oliver
Real tight choice there. I think either way is a good trade. It really would depend on what you do with the extra cash. Oliver will generate better scores but if you can upgrade another player with the cash the combination may be worth more.

I’d be inclined to upgrade Serong, depending on your cash situation. Not every rookie needs to be traded for a new rookie.
Depends what your aiming for. Cash injection or points. If it’s points, I’d be using available cash to upgrade Serong to a mid priced scorer.

Currently thinking trading Simpkin and McPherson for Lloyd and Gould (if he’s playing) via DPP. Simpkin isn’t my ideal trade out, but I currently have 12 premiums available for Round 15..
At the moment, I need one upgrade (D6) with 8 trades, so doing this would take me down to 6 trades needing an F6 who will ideally be Jack Martin in Round 16.
If I complete this weeks trades, I’d be using 3 more trades in Round 15 to sideways a few of the premiums missing, therefore giving me 16 premiums available, leaving me with one trade.
Alternatively, I could hold Simpkin and settle for Harris Andrews which would give me the same number of premiums come Round 15, an extra trade but I would have no Lloyd.

Can you fellas shed some light on the rd 18 with Melb & Bombers players in our teams…
I had a mate tell me they play twice in rd 18 and we get to choose the higher of the scores which does not sound right. I’m assuming when they play twice in the that 9 days or what ever we get one of the scores which ever SC decide?
They won’t be playing twice in any round. All the other clubs have been given byes so there is no longer a need for them to play a catch up game. The game postponed earlier in the season was essentially their bye.

TU : If I replace Sicily with Lloyd this week, it means running my 2nd ruck as either Draper or D Cameron. Then next week, I can bring in either Nic Nac or Goldy and have just under $500K for a mid upgrade to get a rookie off the field – Shiel, Greenwood, Boak.
TD: If I replace Sicily with Z Williams this week, I can trade in Goldy this week also and will have about $630k next week for a Fyfe / Bont / Parker type player. But probably won’t end up getting Lloyd in the future – possible, but less likely.
So my dilemma is – by getting Lloyd, I take a hit this week by not running a premium ruck with Grundy for the 2nd week in a row, and am limited with my mid upgrade next week. By passing on Lloyd and saving $, I play with 2 premium rucks and get free run of mid upgrades next week. Is Lloyd worth that?

Fyfe will be a better scorer/captaincy option. Parker will probably hover around his price for another week, see if you can plan a week ahead and decide based on that. If you have good rookie cover/cash gen, go for Fyfe
Do we have any updates on whether Nic Nat is playing this week?

No reason to say he isn’t as of yet. Freo Tragic made a good point in that he had a great game last week so there isn’t any reason for him not to play. I brought in Goldstein because I just couldn’t muster up enough confidence to pull the trigger on Nic Nat if that helps you at all..

8/1 was the thumbs up count… So while its lovely the community here click on one of the thumbs to have their two bobs worth you really have to DYOR…
Sure Ryan is 55k more expensive but…. One has been very solid and the other perhaps has now been found out…
This year is a BE game so to think 8 out of 9 people are suggesting to bring in a bloke with zero percent chance of achieving his BE and perhaps before getting another look at whether the Eagles will try and throw a tag on him tells me lots of people here are either not very good at SC and or didn’t use their brains prior to clicking thumbs up to Haynes…
I’m writing this after Ryan has scored a 140, perhaps Haynes will prove me wrong but I’m thinking an 80 odd and a price drop of 30k might be on the cards as SC suggests also…
If the 8 out of the 9 that reeeeaaaalllyyyy like the bloke that much I’d wait a week or two and get him in the mid 400’s…

How much more will nicnat score. Look at Neale and what can happen with gambling on your vc ….Cripps for me.
