Game Chat – Essendon v Geelong

Written by Thommo on June 6 2015

This is a huge game for both clubs: The team that loses slips to 4-6 and drops well down the ladder while the winner keeps their head above water. Bad timing for the Bombers to lose Jobe Watson and Dustin Fletcher.

For Supercoaches we should see Goddard step up in the absence of his captain while perhaps Selwood will rediscover the form of which we know he is capable. In rookie news, Elliott Kavanagh has been named onball for Essendon but Jake Kolodjashnij and Michael Luxford are emergencies for Geelong.

Thommo’s tip: Geelong by 18 points.

  4. I know Essendon are having a shocker……….but if you watch Bellchambers closely, you’ll realise just how ordinary a footballer he is. Very few tap outs to advantage, even less effort when the ball hits the ground, not even considered as a target to link up with by his fellow players. Truth is, he’s lucky to get his 50-60 pts a week. I know, I know……’he’s injured, his knee is troubling him’. If that’s the case then the Bombers need to give him a break. They still have McKernan and Giles waiting for a crack, I cannot understand how TBC is still getting a run. Rant over……..
