Game Chat – GWS vs North Melbourne

Written by The Salamander on June 14 2020

Where and when: GIANTS Stadium, Sunday 14th of June at 1:05 PM.

Last time they met: North Melbourne 10.8.68 def by GWS 14.7.91

What it means for GWS: A 2-0 start to the 2020 season should go some way to helping them put the humiliation of last year’s Grand Final mauling behind them.

What it means for North Melbourne: Knocking off a premiership contender would go a long way towards showing that their good form in the back-half of last year under new coach Rhys Shaw wasn’t a fluke.

    1. There there. Go to Match center select the game and scroll to the bottom of line ups. Somewhere convenient and easy to find(sigh)around there.

  1. Kyron Hayden was tagging Pendles in his last match when he got injured. If he is tagging today, who does he go to?

    U: Whitfield
    D: Coniglio

    1. Tagging is overrated. A part from your DeBoer and Hutchings who really shut down the players It is just a negative tactic. Better win by playing on your strengths than killing the game by shutting down its best players.

  3. Sam Jacobs really needing to pick up his game as that SC score of 2 doesn’t look promising for many coaches

    1. I took the Big C off Jelly at the last minute.

Now for the million dollar question.

Who of these Doggies to Captain ?

T/U Macrae (The safer of the two.)

      T/D Dunkley ( No Guts , no Glory )

    1. I figured having Grawndy continually dominating is a generational blessing, just take the ride till it ACTUALLY ends.

    2. Nato.

      I went Naismith to Jacobs.

I just couldn’t trust Cameron or Pittonet v Maxy first up. looks like I
      blew that one. 🙁
I thought about Nic Nat but his confirmed 60% game time put me off.
Lets hope Sauce can lift in this second half.

      1. I’m glad i started with Grawndy. Just set and forget. It was probably going to cause issues in the bye rounds as of preseason, but i worked my way around it last year so i backed myself again this year

    3. Natopotato I did. Traded out Gawn for Sauce so I could afford Howe and Petrappa. I knew it wasn’t going to end well, just not that bad…oh well, You cannot win it all,,

      1. Went with your gut, which is understandable.
I’ve made a questionable decision of trading out Macpherson and brought in Ed Langdon. Macpherson out seems to be a normal decision, but bringing in a massive POD of 0.6% teams could really set me back. Rd1 was 120, Rd2 was 90, but if i consider his 1st quarter of nothing it might be a highly rewarding trade

  8. Is anyone concerned that Kelly’s role has changed a bit this year … that’s both games to date that I don’t think he is playing the same … he may have been a big mistake as a starter …
