  1. What’s vlastuin’s job role these days with short moving into the midfield more? Is he an option over Docherty zorko and Dawson? Not long too decide if I want vlastuin

    1. I’d go Zorko or Dawson. They both have better scoring history, Byes and are safer options in my book.

    2. Vlaustin a good pick. He’s been been freed up this year but if you can ball out for Doch, then do it.

      1. Yep GD..

I think they’re all Ok really,I just can’t fit anymore R12 defenders in my side.

  2. Afternoon, all.

    Rainy day here in Melbourne.

Came very close to naming Sicily the smoky this week, thinking he has a field day.

Just him and Rioli for me, how’s everyone else looking?

    1. Hi GD,
      Enjoy the game.

Sicily and Short for me. Rioli and McDonald on the bench.

      Have a good weekend everyone.

        1. Hi FT,

You are right about McDonald. I am looking at my trades at the moment. He was going next week so now he is named sub, maybe shown the door this week?
Have a great weekend and may your team go massive.

Scratch McDonald and Ward back in for another week.
Now McDonald comes in early plays a blinder. lol.

          1. Thanks CT.

My problem with Macdonald is he’s one of the few rookies left in my team with that last Bye.I had been planning to keep him as a slow burn/ warm Bodie. Things may change if he keeps starting as the sub!

Best of luck to you too, I think you’re due for a big week.

  3. Welcome to the team M.Rioli Junior.

You get to join Short and Sicily on field this week as McComb decided to spud last night. Anything over 60 would be greatly appreciated.

Both these teams are pretty much all out attack so I’m expecting a pretty high scoring affair. Should be a pretty good watch.

Hello Gunboat. I’m undecided on my captain after Macrae’s 119.

    Neale, Oliver or Gawn ?

    1. Hey, FT.

      All great options.

      Neale into the Crows juicy.

Liking Miller at home as well though.

      1. Yeah almost spoilt for choice. I’m thinking Neale as well.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Melbourne put a few of their kids ( Sparrow, Pickett, Spargo, Bowey ) through the middle to give em a go against WC. I still expect good scores from Trac and Oliver I’m just not sure they will both go huge.

        Maybe I’m overthinking it.

        1. I think demons try and smoke west coast here. Goodwin come out and said we aren’t in the business of resting players, in regards to gawn. I don’t think he’s in the business of running kids out of position etc. He will want to win and win well. Boost that %. Just my 2 cents 🙂

  4. Just left Melbourne it’s very poor weather perfect conditions for M.Rioli to hunt and tackle and kick a few GOTY contenders
Sicily, short, MRioli for me here.
Still got the VC free after passing on Macrae last night. Think it’ll be Neale into Oliver this week. Goodluck everyone.

  5. Afternoon all … good luck for the day and remainder of the round!

Looks like have to miss one of the rookies this week (well two actually, already excluded Carroll). So, if you can only pick one, who is the better choice with better scoring possibility and JS please? :
    T/U – Hamilton
    T/D – Rioli

Do we have any inside info or knowledge on this? I guess Hamilton is an unknown with Leon moving on … is Rioli covering an injured someone, or there on merit? Plays small forward I guess so scores could fluctuate?

  6. Tough one this Macca. I think Rioli has the best JS as his pressure has been great and Richmonds game style relies on this. His downside is his higher price and that Forward role may mean he does go missing without a few goals.

Hamilton is playing HB and is an elite runner. His low price and potentially higher floor make him a great get if he keeps his spot with the new coach. Hamiltons time on ground has been around 90% that allows bench time for midfielders , this may help his JS going forward.

I actually went both, but If I had to pick one it would probably be Rioli., purely based on his better JS and the fact Hamilton plays for GWS.

    Best of luck..

    1. Thanks FT – yeah I thought similar on Hamilton … those facts you mentioned and especially TOG and running ability and role… and so he was my trade in last night … but seeing all the heat on Rioli I thought maybe I need to switch? (the beauty of the changes this year!) …. hmmmm … I guess if really really needed, you could pay more for Hamilton next week and his lower price to Rioli means you have that as offset … hmmmm …. assuming Clark has no probs, he’s definitely in next week … may need to be double down next week for byes … hmmm

      1. Hi Macca, I went early on Hamilton last week and this week Rioli.
Both are promising. I left Clark until next week with all the turmoil in the West.

As FT stated they are difficult to seperate but I too, have a slight preference to Rioli.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks for the help in the Coaches box.
        Cheers CT.

            1. A lot of us got that one wrong… hopefully Sicily goes extra big to make up for it

  7. Rioli with nothing more than a single tackle for 3 points at qtr time. Has spent only 47% TOG…..
    It doesn’t look good.
Can say Soldo spent 45% TOG too, so it seems Richmond are only using 2 bench players

  8. Sicily breathes and gets points. Was on -2 and with 8 touches gets to 46 points at QT.

Champion data need to reevaluate the scoring system, half point for kick outs, and some accountability scoring adjustments with Lynch kicking 2.1 and and out on the full directly on him.

Next week when I bring him in I’ll be loving the current system though haha.

    1. He got all 8 touches in the first 10 minutes of the quarter and then didn’t touch it again. Was on about 30 at that stage

  9. Is there any chance at all that Rioli could actually touch the ball in this match?? Halfway into second quarter and still has not touched the ball … sheesh

  10. Gunston subbed out.
    MacDonald comes on.
Good that it occurred 2nd term so MacDonald has a chance of scoring a bit and making a BE

    1. Then gets a free kick and kicks it 20m sideways to go up 8 points……
This makes no sense to me

  11. Rioli on 10 at half time. 2 disposals and a tackle. Spent a bit more TOG being now at 64%

  12. FFS Rioli 3 possessions in 3/4 of footy is pathetic … and butchering two of those …. massive fail

Short also having a shocker …

    1. Had a mark, HB and tackle late.

Was on 16, 3QT siren sounds and he’s been dropped to 8. Tf.

  13. Could we rewind the clock please to 1:42pm and I will ignore my questions at start of thread and just stick with my gut and keep Hamilton … FFS … just reinforces the rule, stick with your gut and first choice …

      1. I was spewing on Sicily…I went Crisp, but GFH had rioli onfield…they averaged 76 so I can handle that !!

  14. I thought it was bad enough when I saw Rioli on 11 towards the end of the game – scores have now updated – 7 as final score FFS. And of course I have him onfield. That’s killed this weekends matchups.
