Game Chat – North Melbourne v GWS

Written by Chaos Theory on June 11 2023

North Melbourne v Greater Western Sydney at Blundstone Arena, 3.20pm AEST

North Melbourne Supercoach relevant-

Jack Ziebell, Harry Sheezel, Tarryn Thomas, Will Phillips, George Wardlaw, Eddie Ford and maybe Todd Goldstein.

GWS relevant: Kieren Briggs, Tom Green, Stephen Coniglio, Toby Greene, Harry Himmelberg (where does he play?) and a watch on Josh Fahey.

Does anyone still have Finn Callaghan?

Good luck everyone

  2. Being one of those who dumped Ziebell this week for the underwhelming Lloyd, I am sure that Ziebell will come out and punish all of us who moved him on this week.

I am keen to see Wardlaw again. Have the fanboy crush after last week. Even if he sits on my bench for the rest of the year and never gets used (unlikely) it’s good to have players in your team that you like to watch.

Green and Cogs for me. Green was going to be captain, but Dunkley VC made that irrelevant.

  3. I traded Ziebell for Yeo.
I will have to wait a few weeks to see if that was a good move?

I have plenty in this, Green, Cogs, Wardlaw, Sheezel and Ford on bench.

  4. Passed on keays this week to have a second look at himmelberg and TTs new HB role that was his all pre season. $290k will be a steal if he nails it down.

Sheezel, Ford, cogs and Green for me here. Briggs on the bench playing gawn R2.

  5. Of course ziebell is going to ton up. Also couldn’t get Ford on the field but good for cash gen! What’s the deal with Green?

  6. Can’t get either Wardlaw or Ford on field but happy for the cash gen. Briggs as my Darcy replacement has been perfect while holding Ziebell and Sheezel is working out well for now too. Green the only disappointment but he might not make my best 18

  7. Gallant performance by the Roos.
No LDU Simpkin and Greenwood really hurt.
Need much more from our bottom 6 players like Spicer Corr Powell Stephenson CCJ Bergman.
    Good game by Larkey.
God help the competition when Wardlaw has 50-80 games under his belt.
Good to see Thomas do well as well.
I will be bringing him in this week before his price blows out.

  8. Don’t think I’ve seen a more impressive start to an inside midfielder’s career than Wardlaw’s. The boy’s a gun. With cash generation so poor this year he might end up M8

  9. Anyone tempted by T Thomas should note that Callan Ward was the same price a week ago. If you did not consider Ward then think twice about Thomas.
