Where and when: Adelaide Oval, 7:10pm (AEST)
Last time they met: Rd 15, 2019: Port 5.11 (41) DEF BY Western Bulldogs 10.6 (66) at Adelaide Oval.
What it means for The Power: With Brisbane on an equal number of wins at the top of the ladder, Port will be looking to make another statement against a Victorian team this week and collect more margin in the process.
What it means for The Dogs: A chance to redeem themselves after a big loss against The Tigers last week.

Thoughts on Mayes?
T/U: Worthwhile stepping stone
T/D: Too risky
No Late Changes to either team.
AFL site has Dunkley on bench and B. Smith on ball.
Will McRae keep his centre bounce minutes & put up a VC score?
Thoughts?
TRADE
TU – sympkin
TD – Dev Smith
neither
I know you never trade out a premium, as Cripps showed as all last week.
But with Dunkley coming back now, is it time I move on from Bont and trade him for Macrae? (or another premium)
TU – Yes
TD – No
has the close boat sailed?
TU: yes
TD: no
10 minutes to decide
T/U James Bell (idk wtf Horse will do)
T/D Woodcock, named but shaky JS
geez , woodcock shouldn’t have had that goal overturned
It clearly showed it hit the post though. That’s exactly what the snicko is there for.
Anyone who brought Mayes in would be cursing him. A little holiday coming you would assume.
Hi Jo I have to disagree,
It was the correct decision based on the tools in the arcs desposal. The edge technology showed a spike which is enough to overturn the decision.
It’s the same as snicko in cricket a spike means batter hit it and they make the decision of it.
i didn’t realize they used snicko
i didn’t see them use it on fox
It’s definitely on there Jo, but you don’t see it during the review process, they only show it in the split screen when they are announcing the decision back to the umpires.
It’s a bit sluggish, but the main thing is they get the decision correct.

Piss off English where was this the last 2 weeks..
dogs r smashing port in the ruck & around the ground
port are doing well to stay in it
English is too young to be really consistent, and being up and down it probably expected for a bit still. And the dogs can be hot and cold depending on their from and how their game is going.

I selected Bontempelli because he gets Supercoach points for scratching his head, but even I am shocked by how highly he has scored tonight. I didn’t see 22 possessions and 8 clearances but I’m happy to take the points!
In the 1st half Bont has 10 CP’s from his 11 possessions and he finished with 16 contested possessions from his 22 touches to go with his 8 clearances.
Yes, that’s what his stats sheet says, but watching it a lot of those disposals were dropped balls, fumbles, etc…
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to take the points, it just surprises me!
agreed – that’s the point I often make, when you watch live games with live scoring (and even score it yourself as i do at times), players get given stats that they simply haven’t earnt (or should have) in the match.
What we need to look at are the things we don’t see.
Contested possessions are/were when you had to “work” off someone before you took possession and disposed of it.
Eg. Full forward pushing off the full back to lead and mark the ball.
Eg A midfielder pushing off an opponent at a centre bounce.
Some of these we don’t always see (until maybe replays) from a different angle.
TV cameras have tunnel vision. If you want to see everything and know what’s happening sit on the wing in a high grandstand seat……or just ask your wife……
bailey smith is heading into bret bewley , devon smith territory
If Dev’s worst score this season was a 76 I’d have no doubts about keeping him.
