Game Chat – Port v Collingwood

Written by Motts on July 23 2021

Where and when: Docklands at 7:10pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Round 10, 2021: Collingwood 8.10 (58) DEF BY Port 8.11 (59) at the MCG.

Last five: Port 4-1, Collingwood 2-3

Match Preview: If this match was being played at Adelaide Oval as originally scheduled, tipping it would be a no-brainer. Even with the match being moved to Melbourne on Tuesday, I’m still going to tip Port – they looked good against the Saints in the Docklands last week. The Pies looked really good for 2.5 quarters against The Blues. And then they didn’t.

Mottsy Watch:

Port
Wines, Butters, Dixon
Collingwood
Grundy, Pendlebury, Adams
Mottsy’s Tip: Port by 20 points (tipping record 36/51). fredbuselli@hotmail.com

  1. Season defining night for me….wines v, pendles, degoey, sidebum, and a candidate for my never again list, houston

  2. I have been stuck on the fence all week between going for de goey. I’ve backed out last minute with his trade and going dusty to dale because I am scared of degoey reinjuring himself or being stuck up forward.

Could be season defining move for me.

Good luck to all those who went to De goey

    1. Every week I have a player subbed out, so no surprize here. Just hope Pendles injury isnt too bad.

Worse week was when I had three players subbed out.

That about sums up my season.

      1. Yep. But I thought 3rd highest number of contested possessions and equal second highest number of clearances would offset the clangers. Wines went 56%DE albeit with less clangers. Wines kicked a goal but Grundy had 23HO.

    1. Reports after the game that Pendlebury thinks he has broken his leg. Similar pain to when he did it before.

X-rays on the weekend I guess. Bummer.

    1. I brought him in 2 weeks ago and I could have picked 8 other ruckmen for the same return to this point. Hoping he turns it around soon.

    2. Was$100 short to get Grundy so had to take goldy 3 weeks ago. Think I may have lucked out there.
