Where and when: Adelaide Oval, 7:40pm (AEST)
Last time they met: R12, 2020 on August 14. Geelong 14.7 (91) DEF Port 4.7 (31) at Metricon. Hawkins kicked 6.
Last time they played at Adelaide Oval was in R14, 2019. Port 9.13 (67) DEF Geelong 8.8 (56)
Form: Port: W, W, W, W, W. Geelong W, L (Richmond), W, W, W.
Match Preview: I reckon if Chris Scott was being honest, he’d tell you that this is the Top 4 match-up he wanted. After flogging Port by 10 goals a month and half ago, the Cats’ confidence would be high. But Port have just finished top of the ladder for the first time in the club’s short history. They started and ended the year at #1 proving that they’re no slouches this year and the Adelaide home crowd will make a ton of difference.

I am going for Port
No late changes
No Late Changes to either team. #AFLPowerCats
Powell-Pepper where was this form when I traded you in for the last 2 games???
Lol. I was just thinking of your SPP trade, GP.
He’s clearly risen to the occasion.
Hawkins lost all confidence in kicking for goal
Richmond VS Port Adelaide in the grand final
I definitely think this year the winner of the GF will be from the winner of the first two qualifying finals. That week off will be critical.
Hopefully my Tigers get up tonight.
On top of the ladder all year, and now into a home prelim… clearly, this has aged well: https://www.change.org/p/david-koch-david-koch-fire-ken-hinkley-as-coach-of-port-adelaide-david-koch-fire-ken-hinkley
I’ll give him credit, he was talking about premierships all preseason. They’re in the box seat now to make the GF
Geelong are a rabble…they have lost far more finals than even Essendon over the last two decades !!
