  2. Someone talk me out of trading Hayes. Feel like he’s no guarantee to play next week and would free up some handy $ this week

  3. I think I am going to back myself in go with the gut feel on picking Prestia into the team!

In less than 1000 teams, averaging 95 and priced at 498k. Only 2 games below 95, being a 42 and 59 due to injury having him subbed out. This meant 25% and 55% TOG.

Wet games has more stoppages/tackles and he has been someone that favours that.
    Backing him in over Zerrett!

    • while he has scoring potential, he is verrrrry injury prone
only played one full season since 2014
the risk is mitigated in only ~10 games left for him to not get injured int tho

      • He has been injured twice already this season, so that should hopefully be his injuries for the season. I thought it would be worth the risk as I will have 12 trades after this round, so that should give me a fair bit of leeway if he does fail

  4. Backed in Clarke over Wehr for a pretty much confirmed 18 players on the field.
Can’t trust Wehr when Haynes, Whitfield, Kennedy, Keeffe and Stein are all defenders in Supercoach, making me very nervous on Wehr since he is a defender too

  5. Totally concur Nato.
Over the next couple of weeks or so I expect Durdin and Edwards of North to get games who will probably have better JS
Butters and new recruit Clarke only for me tonight

    • Jeepers, if you’re worrying about cash generatiom at this point of the season then something has gone very wrong.

McCartin, SDK, Daicos, O’Driscoll, Hayes (x2), Martin, Hately, Gibcus, McComb all in the $150k plus growth range, plus a heap in the $100-$150k bracket (Chapman, Dixon, Clark, JHF, Rosas, Durdin, Jeffrey, Soligo, Hinge, Hobbs, Xerri, Windhager, Jamieson).

Then there’s the incredible mid pricers…Hewett, Pruess, Brodie, Cogs who could (arguably) be classed as keepers.

At this stage your team should be pretty well done, and cash generation is secondary to reliable bench coverage.

      • That’s great blue balls but who u trading them to that will play games? I have some of the guys u mentioned and already traded some of the others. No point trading to guys that won’t get a game. That’s a dead end.

        • Yeah, that’s what I’m getting at, cash generation is less relevant than job security. Whichever players you’re bringing in will hopefully only ever have to score once or twice to cover a short term injury, and they’re not getting traded out again so their cow potential doesn’t matter.

I’m looking at Hollands as a mid/fwd who GC have publicly said they hope to get games into. Think North have suggested their MSD pick (Dawson) will see some senior footy at some point. Pretty sure I’ve seen some positive feedback on Ned Long from Hawks fans, hopefully he might get a taste in the second half of the year. Durdin will be a popular pick (though I’m not convinced he’ll get more than 2-3 games). Clarke is looking good for Richmond.

With the limited options though, it makes DPP players more valuable. Can’t find a reliable forward bench rookie, but got one at M9? Just plug in a potentially viable M/F option instead (Hollands or Long) and have Bont or someone like that at M8. Means your playing M9 rookie can effectively cover a forward out (or a ruck one if you’ve also got English at F1 with a R/F rookie at R3).

  6. Am somewhat thankful May got himself suspended as that confirmed me trading him this week to Houston. Houston on fire that first half

    • Got to be something like Murphy’s Rule.
Tossing up players- you went between Hous & Doc, I went between Boak & Merrett.
Also considered Wehr vs Clarke- and thought- don’t break Superviach rule of picking on first game- he’ll be out by game 2. How’s that looking?
And guarantee- I lost earlier on this year by 1 point in Match up and opponent had Clark in for his first match- and he got 104!
Noticed opponent went Clarke tonight- in a close tussle- he already looks like he’s going to cost me!
      Frustrating at times this game!

      • As long as Clarke plays next week (which looks inevitable now) I’m happy. He can be a m/f loophole player if not playing last 10 games

  7. How good am I going…

Only had the 17 on field this week and have just left Gibcus on the bench without the ‘E’.

    SuperCoach is really really fun

  8. Houston to be on 80 odd at half to then finish under 100. Quite disappointing but really shows how undulating the scoring was in this game since it was so close

    • He was on 71 at one stage….Butters also regressed as he was on 95 during the last quarter and finished on 87.
Rozee fortunate to score that last goal as he was spudding it up big time till then.

  9. Some weird scores in this one. Houston sub tons after being 80+ at half-time. Short tons-up from nowhere. Clarke and Butters both go backwards.

Finlayson looked gassed by the second quarter, so hopefully Teakle-my-fancy gets a run next week.
