Steele doing quite well being on 69 at half. Hope he fires for the end of the season to be a ripper pick up
Traded Ryan to Dale this week and of course Dale gets tagged and Ryan on 54 at half. If he cracks the tonne I’ll be so frustrated as he has barely done that all season!
Anyone know why Brodie who has 2 goals and 29 touches so far going at 82% DE is only on 79 points? Must be seriously not impacting game for that low scoring
Yep – I watched that whole game, and Brodie (88 points) got seriously underscored this week.
Brayshaw (132 points) was very good, but there was no way he was 44 points better than Brodie – particularly with Brodie kicking 2 goals (Brayshaw one), and also having 5 more clearances & 3 less clangers than Brayshaw.
I should have also included the tackles in the above summary.
But with Brodie having an extra goal, 5 more clearances & 3 less clangers than Brayshaw, I still maintain there is no way there is 44 points difference between the two players yesterday.
Having watched the whole game, they were both excellent contributors to the win.
And how does a 29 possession @ 82% efficiency, 9 contested possession, 6 clearance, 2 goal, 388m gained game from a midfielder equate to just 88 points?
That’s my thoughts anyway, and having played this game for around 10 years, there is always some “funny scoring” in SC 🙂 🙂

Curious myself too Buck.
Was out tonight and just caught votes on the way home via radio and they gave him 2 votes for the game as well.
29 touches (21 uncontested) , 12/17 kicks/ handballs 5 clangers incl 2 frees against
Braysaw:
36 touches (29 uncontested), 20/16 kicks/handballs 8 clangers incl 4 frees against
Hmmmmmmm

Brodie had 29 possessions & 9 CP & 6 clearances & 5 clangers & 388mm gained & 2 goals (for 88 points)
Brayshaw had 36 possessions & 8 CP & 1 clearance & 8 clangers & 569mm gained & 1 goal (for 132 points)
Thought Brayshaws score was probably a little over (but pretty fair), but Brodie should have scored in the 110 – 120 point range IMO.
Brayshaw 10 tackles, brodie 1.!!.

The goals that he scored were in the 2nd half, with them occurring whilst the were already a couple of goals up.
He was also quiet mid game with only 5 disposals in both the 2nd and 3rd term, with it only being 3 kicks.
This would have restricted his scoring being a little quiet when it was close, but more dominant when Freo look settled for a win
The game was pretty close all night – think there was only approximately 20 points the difference between the teams well into the last quarter.
And Brodie had an excellent first term when the game was really hot, and when the Saints looked really good.
The two coaches votes (Longmuir and Ratten) for this game pretty much follow both my and SG Ninja’s thoughts.
Each coach gives 5 votes down to 1 vote – so both AFL coaches obviously also thought Brodie’s 88 SC points game was exceptional:
8 Andrew Brayshaw (FRE)
7 Nat Fyfe (FRE)
7 Will Brodie (FRE)
4 Lachie Schultz (FRE)
2 Jordan Clark (FRE)
1 Brad Crouch (STK)
1 Rory Lobb (FRE)
