Edwards and Baker should be back this week. You would expect both these lads straight into the team. Hewitt a week away. the big question who gets squeezed out. ??
Each quarter Darcy would start as ruck with Jackson in the guts. Darcy would go off after about 5-6 mins and have a rest and Jackson would then stay in the guts but do the ruck work and Reid or Young would be the other mid. Jackson would go off about 15 min mark and Darcy come back on to ruck for about 5 mins and then jackson would swap with Darcy as ruck for last 10 mins.
Neither Darcy of Jackson went forward much, that was usually Young.
A few injuries to monitor, Gulden and Marshall, they’ll be wait and see, but, the ever unreliable Philipoopoo will be making his way out…not sure who to yet but he will join the “never again” client list
Rankine is going to take someone’s place and it won’t be Neal-Bullen, Keays, Ah Chee or the talls. Cook played well but has been in and out before, Pedlar could be the one, or Toby Murray might be unlucky.
Bond or Soligo will be the one to make way for Rankine, I’m tipping Soligo, unless there’s injuries on the track. Apparently he was training with the B team today.
Cook is going nowhere, but don’t expect scores like that every week.
This is your reminder to not rage trade off one bad game, it’ll happen for all premos and the rest of the league. Try go off role, chasing points will have you trading twice every week
Agree. Most of us will field 21 over each of the byes. I’m waiting for both Murdock and Cook to be on the bubble….Poo and Marshall price not changing in the meantime.
Blakiston is one I have wrong for sure, price to score potential is all wrong as Derek flagged. I don’t have Grilj and am running an all rookie def + Rozee so I’m comfortable doing that. Errol depends on how long he is out for. My options seem to be Serong or Dawson. Phillipou would have been good except a) Ross decided he is the tagger, and b) he’s made of glass. There will be a rookie I can get on for him. Running Three premium rucks(Jackson,English and flex Gawn ) so Mcandrew is pure bench gen.I didn’t want to trade for weeks this year so I’m disappointed but it is what it is I guess….
Blakiston started really well, especially in the center ball ups. but against the two rucks of Hawthorn he got tired and in the end he was seriously under-sized. It was always going to be a struggle against the ‘big boys’.
Talking of Big Boys, after this week where he has Port, it is followed by Xerri (nth), English/Darcy (dogs), Gawn (mel), Witts (suns) and Cameron (col).
he needs to score at 74 to be value, round 1 of 62 wasn’t good
I won’t be surprised to see him get some help from Vigo Visentini
I’ve got the same dilemma, i also really want to go down to Grlj (found the cash to upgrade him to Parish just before lockout). This gives me the cash to get Toby Murray up to Cook.
I do think Blakiston will bounce back with an 80+ this week, but he seems like a 80 guy and I don’t think that is good enough. Grlj looked better and could’ve easily finished with 90+.
I think I’ll be pulling the trigger.
Might even use a boost as well and go Walsh to Serong.
Probably matches Grilj for scoring , but is 115k dearer. It does mean that points wise you can put out other fires before dealing with this one next week. Which is what I have chosen to do.
I need the money to put out my only real fire which is Murray over Cook, so I think I’ll have to take the risk and go early on Blakiston > Grlj. It’s definitely a fair call to wait and see if you have some money in the bank to put out your fires.
In terms of Walsh to Serong – the extra game, cash generation and 10-15 points per week is worth it I think. I’ve also got 3 other MIDs with the bye this week so it would be nice to have a 23rd player (who should be 110+) on the field.
These are the two most important weeks for trades in my opinion, and I’ve got all the other good rookies so happy to fix a fallen premium when i can.
I’ll have another watch of Roberts this week if he fails I’ll bring in Houston maybe worrell as a POD
I’d prefer to not trade this week so hopefully Phillipou and Marshall are all good? Didn’t see what happened. It’s best 18 for the next few weeks
$38k ITB. Wondering whether to trade this week or hold off for a week. If I trade it’ll be. Phillpou to Murdock and swinging Cook into the forwards and then Nguyen to Bruhn swinging Grlj to defence.
Who to trade gulden to. Do I bring in another premo down back like lizard at value or go serong or ando I have Coleman and Blackiston with two rookies down back.
Feels like me might be able to play 3 mid rookies (smith, murdoc, cook/Blamires) and only 2 down back.
you could wait two weeks. Swans have their bye next week, so he will only be missing this week. gives him time to get back. lots will be getting offhim and if you hold, he will be a nice POD with a reasonable BE
I’m wavering on McCarthy. Even though he’s playing mid WCE might struggle to get any decent points and he’s priced as a keeper. There’s cash to be made with Fonti and seems to have reasonable scoring potential
TU: Save the trade, stick with McCarthy, he’s a mid and he’s only had 1 week
TD: Go with Fonti, might make decent coin early season and should score reasonably well
Would love to go up to Sinclair but that would mean another trade, not yet.
Is clayton oliver worth to try an upgrade to bont
or just hold this week
TU : Hold and watch this week, to see if the new team does anything
TD : Trade for serong or a different premo
Not sure if this is just Swans bias as a fan coming through, but seriously considering Gulden to McInerney trade. JMac role is a lot more CBA-based this year and has looked good on the eye test – can only see his CBAs going up even more with Gulden out. 11 and 13 CBAs in the first two rounds of the year. Scores definitely boosted by 3 and then 2 goals though – am I crazy?
I didnt start with bont because of price but tempted to replace gulden with him as have the cash on hand
T/u replace gulden with Bont which leaves me with $116k for corrective trades
T/d stick to original plans and trade gulden for someone with similar price (thinking serong) which leaves me with $250k
Keep Mc Kercher for one more week. He played very well in flashes this week. I see upside in him moving forward. I own him too. If he does spud it up again, I am looking at Dan Houston after his bye this week. He has pumped out 2 big tonnes in his first 2 games and will be on the bubble. Only $431k and will jump to $500K after his 3rd game. AND he is now still cheaper then Mc Kercher. Hope that helps. TH
i like Cook to replace Phillipou. Would have started with him in guts but was $1k short in funds so went with Carroll. He had a nice game, but we should give him another week and get on bubble
Couple of thoughts –
FOMO with Bont so looking to go Richards (POD fail) out but need $110k in cashflow.
Sweating on Marshall injury
Cameron (also POD) – any see how he went, might go Jackson
Other corrective trades for rookies – gibcus to selwood ? Macrae is donuts
nothing to do this week. then next week look at getting Murdock (if he still looks ok) and Cook. You will have another week to assess who to trade out. Marshall should be ok, Pou might have a great game, Sharp or Caroll might be dropped. wait for now.
Merrett looked vintage. Serong saved his score in the last quarter and his game wasn’t worth the score he posted. I’d probably still go Serong over Merrett as essendon are in for a long season.
that will be two trades plus another to trade Fonti out to get kertcher back in when he becomes a gun. cut losses and replace Gulden with like for like.
Will be trading out Gulden – wanting Bont. Will need to cull one of my mid pricers for a rookie (Murdock or Cook) to do it, so looking at Windsor as the trade out
TU: good plan = GUN (Bont) & a rookie is better than a mid pricer & injured premo
TD: just trade Gulden for another premo like Merrett, Callaghan, Libba etc, and wait on Bont.
Is it stupid to go Gulden > Bruhn this week, even though he has the bye as well? I think Bruhn is a must have after watching him vs Freo.
Preemptively gives me $300k+ to use on fixing players later that we will know more about after round 2 (ie Oliver, Young, missed rookies) without burning a boost.
Bruhn has the role to be close to keeper level. Should get DDP rating soon and gets you deep into the season as he has the late midseason bye round. That,s the trade i am considering this week as i think Murdock getting squeezed out when WCE get a few players back from injury.
Just dirty i did not start Bruhn, as i wanted another look at him after his poor defensive effort in opening round.
I liked the look of them both over the weekend, however I already started English in the ruck and I think Gawn will end up R1 and a must by seasons end. Which makes me think if I bring in Jackson, I am committing to running 3 rucks (flex) unless he gains mid status. Does anyone know the likelihood of this if his current role were to continue?
I would hold Windsor, played with a cork (late report) and butchered at least 10 pts. and if he kicks that second goal he score 90. I started him, give me a 80+ average until his bye round. Also throw Bruhn into the mix for DPP after round six, join him up with Budarick and you have a solid D4-D6 until the midseason bye rounds.
Sadly Guldens injury is killing my dont trade early plan. Obvious sideways to Serong but also see the option of Grlj to Mid and W Milera into Def and start building a Bont war chest for after his bye. Or is Mileras 142 score just a one off?
TU. Play safe Gulden to Serong
TD. Milera plus cash is a sound option as u r gunna need Bont….
Milera isn’t going to go 142 every week but whilst Hinge is out it looks like the role might be there in the short term. Could be an interesting POD if you can fit him; midfield is pretty stacked with cheap value already
McKercher plays Eagles and then Essendon, surely you give him a crack at those two teams, where Sinclair plays GWS (in syd) and then Brisbane before a bye. at least wait one more week before trading
Just refuses to actually back system and in the end has a messiah complex. If the players achieve it without a heap of defensive quirks then it is very bad for FURL’S ego. I think he doesn’t actually have belief in his players to be better than the oppo.
Gulden to Murdock for me gives $560K ITB for upgrades after the byes, three mid field (mid price & premos) on the bench this week. Look at Bont after his bye, 21 possible players for the bye rounds so far.
You could look at Whitfield this week and if you really believe he’s lost the role and needs to go, then you can trade to either Zorko or Josh Daicos coming off their Bye.
Ideally straight to N Daicos. I have enough coin but the bye this week is annoying..
TU – Wait a week, cop the 0 (best 18 anyway) bring in Daicos
TD – trade to a rookie (Cook or Murdock) this week, then upgrade an underperformer next week (phillipou if injured, balkiston,).
Unfortunately Swans play first, so you can even wait to see how your rookies score before pulling the trade trigger.
West coast do play last, so you could do the Daicos trade and then if you need another player on field before the final game, swap to Murdock. Maybe. You’ll probably need Murdock next week anyway, but you know Cow Rule 6-A
The following week it will be out with Windsor, Degoey and CCJ and in with Jackson, Cook and Houston.
MacAndrew will be R3 till round 6 (and give me ruck cover over the byes) until Blackiston gets DPP and then he will go to R3 and Jackson will go into the midfield via DPP (i hope).
Gulden to
TU – Serong/Merret
TD – Fonti via DPP + 270k
Know Gulden to a premo makes sense, but fonti looks to have a good roll plus Serong had a like 70 point last quarter, he’s not gonna do that most weeks and Merrett seemed to get played a bit of everywhere.
2286 in round 1, only $6k in the bank but very tempted to do:
Blakiston > Grlj
Murray > Cook
Walsh > Serong
Serong gets his own footy whereas Walsh is more of a handball receive guy, I got tempted by the Richmond matchup and it didn’t pay off. Serong also had a tag, which was a big red flag but if he is now mature enough to handle it and still get bulk contested possessions and clearances (13 & 8 on the weekend), I think he’s a must have
T/U – If you think they’re all good trades, go for it
T/D – Nah it’s far too early to use 3 trades
I am looking at bringing him in, however I started the season with English as my r1.
Let’s say I run Jackson & English, my ruck line is already full without having any of Gawn, Xerri or Grundy.
Does anyone know the likelihood of Jackson gaining MID status based on his role over the weekend? I know this would need to continue of course, no reason it shouldn’t.
This would give me more clarity as I think long term Jackson could make the ideal flex candidate if he were to be a RUCK/MID.
Not completely sold on serong but hate how slim my mids are looking if i don’t replace gulden in there. Other option is to go gulden-murdock and wait a week for neale/holmes etc off the bye.
TU: Gulden -> Holmes (other options comment, no issues with fielding players this week so can absorb the bye)
TD: Gulden -> Murdock (on field), Philipou -> Jackson (through K.White). Sends McAndrew to the bench
need a replacement for Gulden current mids
Butters / N Daicos / Richards / T Miller / H Young / Parish /Bruhn /
ruck Gawn / Mc Andrews
Flex Gulden
my question who would you take 1. Bont 2. Jackson can afford either
Proposed trades for this week are both corrective: Blakiston and Sharp to Young and Murdoch.
I can understand waiting a week given Blakiston has Port and Murdoch ain’t on the bubble yet and a lot can happen in a week (injuries) but on the flip side, this week might present with more issues that require trades and I’ll be stuck with Blakiston who has a rough month coming up (really should have considered this beforehand but the Young injury scare threw me off). Any thoughts?
Hayden Young played with hamstring awareness in the second half last week. Hence his scoring drop off in the back end of the game. Young is a test this week and is no certainty to play. Its going to be a nervous ride with him!
I wouldn’t, Windsor was playing sore from a big corky at training on Friday before the game apparently. He has the role to go at 85+. Fonti is similar, but he also has a bye and it’s not worth burning a trade on in my opinion.
This week: Gulden to Dovaston. Still fielding 22 + flex.
Next: Sellwood to Murdoch. Should be 21-22, no flex.
Sets up Poo to Bont after his bye. All via DPP shenanigans. Will be able to restore my switched to their rightful spots, too.
Realy comes down to Poo + Sellwood + Serong + 2 trades Vs Dovaston + Murdoch + Bont.
short of on ballers this week..gulden out .. thinking of max hall as a replacement by puting petracca in midfield and max on the foward line…it gives me a bit more flexability having petracca as my only central player with foward status…..is this a good move
hey guys have a not so big problem but would like some help.
Besides captaining butters and whitfield scoring poorly ,my team structure is almost perfect. only sort of concerns are phillipou and dyson sharp (two rookies that will still make money or be a loophole at worst) is it worth trading any of those two to murdoch? i won’t be able to get murdoch next week without using a boost or trading parish/windsor as i’m looking to get dan houston.
T/U trade in murdoch for sharp/pou
T/D keep your trades and miss out on murdoch
I can’t afford to go straight to Bont in one trade. My other mids are butters, serong, naicos, Noah Anderson, bruhn and jagga smith. I know Bont has an upcoming bye but he’s probably going to go up in price after this week. I know Murdoch is a bit early also…
TU do it
TD no maybe do a single trade gulden maybe to Merrett.
Gulden to Serong
Gulden to Bont.
This is after trading Draper to Murdoch..
Serong will leave$320k in bank
Bonts will leave $184k
More dollars for upgrading young.
TU: Young direct to Fonti this week
TD: Hold Young for a week, see timeline, if bad, downgrade to a bubble rook and turn Blakiston into any premo (Other than Bont)
TU – Gulden > Petracca, then Young to Fonti (Via Grji to MIDs) ($225,600 ITB for next week)
TD – Same trade as above, but go Serong instead and miss Petracca ($176,200 ITB for next week)
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Or I could just do Gulden > Petracca, hold Young and move him next week as I should be able to cover with Best 18 (would have $134,600 ITB in this case)
I have $185k cash ITB. Hayden Young has to go. There is something wrong with his legs. One week he has calf issues, and the next its a hamstring problem. Time to build my team without him.
TU- Trade out Young straight up to Caleb Serong. One trade. OR
TD- Trade out Young and Phillipou(If he misses) and grab Luke Jackson and Murdock.
I have Young to deal with and now Gibcus has been dropped. Currently thinking those two out and bringing in Fonti and Murdock. Helps keep cash gen going and hopefully solidifies a pretty leaky defence. Leaves enough in the bank to target Bont next week too, all going well.
Is there any value in the option to hold Young? Fair chance everyone will want him back when he comes back, but with 40 trades maybe that’s not a big deal. Is he worth holding ?
De Goey
TU – going to be an inconsistent headache, correct early and get rid of him
TD – stick with him
IMO he has to go. Played in patches. Not going to average 100, trade if you can
At 320k if he averages 85 you’ll make 100k + . Is that worth burning a trade for?
That’s the absolute minimum amount of cash gen you’d want, and its no certainty he averages 85, I would trade especially given he’s on the bye now.
any love for murdoch from west coast?
Wait a week
What if you’ve got phillipou, do you wait a week, do you get cook or something instead?
if you can, trade phillipou for murdock, but if you cant, go phillipou for cook, or just hold pou
always wait for a rookie to be on the bubble, unless Phillipou will lose a stack on cash, his BE is 2
mature age baller. He’s in for Harvey-no guts-Langford
Edwards and Baker should be back this week. You would expect both these lads straight into the team. Hewitt a week away. the big question who gets squeezed out. ??
2 rage trades
Phillipou
Archie Roberts
Coach stuffed around with Archie. His TOG was horrible. Re-watch his last quarter. That is the real him. Stick fat , mate
Agree with Simon GG, I have Roberts as well and prepared to wait another week
This week:
Will probably look at Murdock (WCE) this week as I already anticipate at least a couple of moves next week.
Next week:
Windsor & Blakiston > Houston & Cook.
Why Windsor? Role is there and looked pretty good for the most part. I think the points will come.
Although I agree, not sure theres any other way I will be able to fund the other move. Will give it another look this week.
You get another week to watch Windsor, while Houston his bye
Yeah will get another look, although I am very keen on Houston. One of the mid pricers will have to make way.
is he a keeper? if you belive, he is a great price
Is Luke Jackson legit?
What was his role? Didn’t get to see the Freo game, I was worry about him sharing ruck load but didn’t seem to matter
Neither Darcy of Jackson went forward much, that was usually Young.
whats your thoughts on grundy?, have no intent of trading him as a premium, but was it just a off week for him?
Fort is quite hard to score against
A few injuries to monitor, Gulden and Marshall, they’ll be wait and see, but, the ever unreliable Philipoopoo will be making his way out…not sure who to yet but he will join the “never again” client list
Straight trade to Cook is looking likely
Rankine is going to take someone’s place and it won’t be Neal-Bullen, Keays, Ah Chee or the talls. Cook played well but has been in and out before, Pedlar could be the one, or Toby Murray might be unlucky.
Just saying, watch for the teams.
wait for him to be on the bubble next week
Bond or Soligo will be the one to make way for Rankine, I’m tipping Soligo, unless there’s injuries on the track. Apparently he was training with the B team today.
Cook is going nowhere, but don’t expect scores like that every week.
Hear me out, lots of trades early but worth it?
Oliver, Langford > Murdock, Bont
Classic bont scares me not having him.
TU – good corrective trades
TD – Save the trades
Done!!! With 80k left for Duurs next week probs, Carroll gets the flick.
80k overall for a 2185 seems harsh. Lots of good scores.
im holding off on oliver this week most likely. You would be kicking yourself if oliver manages 100+
Breakeven of 93 is worrying. He didn’t look great though. I just think this might be my only chance to grab the bont
This is your reminder to not rage trade off one bad game, it’ll happen for all premos and the rest of the league. Try go off role, chasing points will have you trading twice every week

Serongs’ game on the weekend wasn’t worth 150
That’s fine, don’t need 150 every week.
He was getting tagged at times and still managed 30 touches, 8 clearances, 13 contested possessions and 6 inside 50s. In a loss as well.
He was also in my team pretty much all pre season, I thought Walsh would outscore him given the far easier fixture and I need to correct that mistake.
I’ll have another watch of Roberts this week if he fails I’ll bring in Houston maybe worrell as a POD
I’d prefer to not trade this week so hopefully Phillipou and Marshall are all good? Didn’t see what happened. It’s best 18 for the next few weeks

TU Do it and pull the trigger
TD. Hold off for one more week
im in the same boat. Ive got a full team this week, so im holding off on the trade
Probably just the 1 trade this week.
Philipou>Marshal or Cook
I’ll be watching Archie Robert’s 1 more week. Trying my hardest not to rage trade like I have in the past.
If he drops another shit score we have to trade though
Just McCarthy > Sinclair this week. Thought I’d try for a slight pod and save a few $, but Sinclair is looking the goods.
If i were you, just save the trade on mcarthy, and either try to updrade a rookie to sinclair, not someone who could be avereraging 90+
Yeah I’ll hold. Gulden to Sinclair with Rozee moving to the mids for now. Cheers coaches.
Who to trade gulden to. Do I bring in another premo down back like lizard at value or go serong or ando I have Coleman and Blackiston with two rookies down back.
Feels like me might be able to play 3 mid rookies (smith, murdoc, cook/Blamires) and only 2 down back.

why was his TOG so low?
Gulden looks cooked. I already own LDU Dawson and Serong so I don’t feel there are any other non bye options.
T/U Future Bye (Sinclair, Nandos)
T/D Bye now (Holmes, Daicos)
do you have Jackson, who is at your flex?
you could go a massive POD with Rankine?
Is clayton oliver worth to try an upgrade to bont

TU : Hold and watch this week, to see if the new team does anything
TD : Trade for serong or a different premo
sorry didnt mean to say bont, meant premo
I think I’m going Gulden to Serong
Is Marshall cooked as well?
Adelaide FC reporting that Marshall has no structural damage. So won’t be long term.

ive already got mclnerney on my team, prior to the injury, so i’ll be thriving if your right
if you are a Swans fan, who will benefit from No Gulden?
Gulden going for surgery back in mid-season according to Swans website
I didnt start with bont because of price but tempted to replace gulden with him as have the cash on hand

Any one got any info on Jake Rogers? Looking for a replacement for Phillipou
Late in for Humphrey so might not have great job security.
i like Cook to replace Phillipou. Would have started with him in guts but was $1k short in funds so went with Carroll. He had a nice game, but we should give him another week and get on bubble
Went all out on GnR
Def: Sinclair, Rozee, Clarke, Grlj,Lindsay, Serong, Gibcus, Jaques

Wouldn’t think Richards a POD fail with a 117 avg Fine Wines. The 160 is gone. Richards could easily do better than Bont next time.
Gulden to
TU: Merrett
TD: Serong
Merrett looked vintage. Serong saved his score in the last quarter and his game wasn’t worth the score he posted. I’d probably still go Serong over Merrett as essendon are in for a long season.
Do you have Jackson? you can swing to flex?
Or something crazier
Mckercher out
Fonti in
Gulden out
Bont in
I’d have to sacrifice Kerch to get Bont in for Gulden
Or do we have someone at a similar price point to Fonti that would be a better option?
that will be two trades plus another to trade Fonti out to get kertcher back in when he becomes a gun. cut losses and replace Gulden with like for like.
hey guys, looking to trade out gulden
TU – Gulden to Jackson
TD – Gulden to merret/serong
Depends what does bringing Jackson in does to your structure. Merrett and Serong just as capable for less $
Who to bring in for Gulden?
TU – M. Bontempelli (3.8k ITB)
TD – L. Jackson (99.4K ITB)
Will still have 22 playing this week
Bruhn has the role to be close to keeper level. Should get DDP rating soon and gets you deep into the season as he has the late midseason bye round. That,s the trade i am considering this week as i think Murdock getting squeezed out when WCE get a few players back from injury.
Just dirty i did not start Bruhn, as i wanted another look at him after his poor defensive effort in opening round.
Sanders to Dylan Stephens?
TU – Gun POD
TD – Absolute Madness
Mckercher to Rachele? Cash in bank and hopefully a keeper…
definition of a sideways trade.
Tu – phillipou —> cook
Td – sharp —> Murdock
Or hold off for a week?
I’d wait a week. See what happens
Best trade plan for Gulden?
TU: L. Jackson
TD: C. Serong
Thoughts much appreciated, cheers!
I would hold Windsor, played with a cork (late report) and butchered at least 10 pts. and if he kicks that second goal he score 90. I started him, give me a 80+ average until his bye round. Also throw Bruhn into the mix for DPP after round six, join him up with Budarick and you have a solid D4-D6 until the midseason bye rounds.
i only saw the last quarter of the game and didn’t spot Windsor once. Maybe that was why. I’ll take 80’s from him
Cotemplating Blacky to Fonti for matchups
Blacky with hard match ups after this week while Fonti has 3 easy matchps.
as the main ruck, he will still score ok, just not 100’s. probably not worth a sideways trade
Who to trade:
TU: J Clark
TD: Brayshaw
Neither, why would you?
Pure rage, but you’re right, thanks for the reality check. Will hold one more week
at least wait another week before any price changes and players like Houston are off their bye
Ok how about McKerch and Lindsay to Sinclair and Murdock…
McKercher plays Eagles and then Essendon, surely you give him a crack at those two teams, where Sinclair plays GWS (in syd) and then Brisbane before a bye. at least wait one more week before trading
Good advice! Thanks Derek.
What to do with Blakiston in Flex?
TU: Trade for Fonti on the bubble (Sideways trade?)
TD: Hold through Port Adelaide, take Murdock on the bubble next week
Hey folks,
Wasn’t inspired by what I saw with Kosi Pickett, so am wondering:
TU keep him
TD trade to McInerney
Cheers
he go the Windy tag, for some reason.
Thanks Derek, wasn’t aware. So his score of 74 wasn’t too bad then, reckon he could go better this week against the Hawks?
# Dockers, not Hawks (my option McInernany plays Hawthorn).
Don’t know why Ross would tag Pickett, but he did. Didn’t work because saints lost.
Obviously very sideways and maybe dumb but both are technically on the bubble..
T/u – Whitfield to Sinclair before prices change
T/d – No, crazy
Don’t do it Dogs
They share the same Bye.
You could look at Whitfield this week and if you really believe he’s lost the role and needs to go, then you can trade to either Zorko or Josh Daicos coming off their Bye.
Or Houston if he stays the course
PORT Adelaide forward-turned-defender Todd Marshall is expected to be available for Sunday’s clash against Essendon.
Gulden to….
Maybe. You’ll probably need Murdock next week anyway, but you know Cow Rule 6-A
I meant ‘can’t wait to see how your rookies score’
Anyone thinking of bringing in Rankin this week?
He was carrying an injury for the last month of preseason and missed the practice games.
If you were being forced to trade Gulden, he would be a serious POD though
Gulden to…
TU: LJ
TD: Rankine
Only trading out Gulden for Murdoch this week.
Can you get from Gulden to Jackson this week?
Not in one trade and I prefer to have another look at Cook and what role he has with Rankin returning.
Gulden to
TU – Serong/Merret
TD – Fonti via DPP + 270k
Know Gulden to a premo makes sense, but fonti looks to have a good roll plus Serong had a like 70 point last quarter, he’s not gonna do that most weeks and Merrett seemed to get played a bit of everywhere.
So Serong was on 80 at 3 quarter time away to the cats, with a tag and in a loss, buy!
Young was moved out of the midfield, and all of a sudden it was Serong time. Up until 3/4 time Young was the best midfield, but ran out of gas.
Yep I wouldn’t be picking Young, apparently he’s had some hamstring soreness this week too.
Young is confirmed out this week now. More footy for Serong
One trade. Gulden (injured long term) for Serong.
Luke Jackson the real deal this year?
I am looking at bringing him in, however I started the season with English as my r1.
Let’s say I run Jackson & English, my ruck line is already full without having any of Gawn, Xerri or Grundy.
Does anyone know the likelihood of Jackson gaining MID status based on his role over the weekend? I know this would need to continue of course, no reason it shouldn’t.
This would give me more clarity as I think long term Jackson could make the ideal flex candidate if he were to be a RUCK/MID.
Think that Murdock is a must trade in. Who should I trade out for him:
TU: Watkins
TD: Dovaston
wait a week
Need to offload Gulden.
TU- Gulden – Serong
TD- Gulden, Sharp – Jackson, Murdock (Via trac/pickett dpp)
Not completely sold on serong but hate how slim my mids are looking if i don’t replace gulden in there. Other option is to go gulden-murdock and wait a week for neale/holmes etc off the bye.
TU: Gulden -> Holmes (other options comment, no issues with fielding players this week so can absorb the bye)
TD: Gulden -> Murdock (on field), Philipou -> Jackson (through K.White). Sends McAndrew to the bench
Comment: Gulden -> Jackson (through Parish flex), Philipou -> Cook
Moving on Gulden and Phillipou
TU: Cook and Callaghan
TD: Dovaston and Bont
(Don’t have the cash for Cook and Bont which would obviously be preferred)
you can get Cook next week. can you go gulden to bont if you go a cheaper rookie than cook?
need a replacement for Gulden current mids
Butters / N Daicos / Richards / T Miller / H Young / Parish /Bruhn /
ruck Gawn / Mc Andrews
Flex Gulden
my question who would you take 1. Bont 2. Jackson can afford either
Take the Bont before he goes to 1mill
Started off well with 2,416 and ranked 1.2k.
I wouldn’t move to Young. Hamstring issue now apparently, very injury prone.
Maybe just Blakiston to Murdoch?
Wadda ya reckon about these trades..
Draper to Murdoch
Gulden to Bonts/Serong
Thanks for your help.
TU: Gulden, Zak Johnson > Anderson, Murdoch
TD: Gulden > Blakey (moving Rozee into midfield)
hey guys,
What to do with Coleman (Bris)?
Trade for Murdock
or
Hold
Cheers
Who should I bring in:
TU: Bont (pay up for him)
TD: Anderson
Hayden Young played with hamstring awareness in the second half last week. Hence his scoring drop off in the back end of the game. Young is a test this week and is no certainty to play. Its going to be a nervous ride with him!
Yep. Young will miss this week. Freo not open about his return date. I reckon he will miss 2-3. Trade him and fix your rooks. Cheers. TH
What are we doing with Young? Holding?
OUT this week.
He’s one of those players that I sleep better not having to worry about not being in my team.
if he didn’t look like Fremantles best player for 3/4 of the games last week, it would be an easy farewell
Thinking of some rookie trades.
Out – phillipou, selwood, carroll
In – cook, Murdoch, sharp (demons)
T.u – good moves
T.d – dont trade
Phillipou Sellwood and Carroll are all holds this week surelyyy
agree, they will all make cash, good cash as this week has 3 weeks built into one.
Want to get bont in
Trade out – Windsor and neale
Which means grlj will be D4
Bring in – bont and murdoch
I wouldn’t sell either Windsor or Neale
Windsor –> Fonti?
I wouldn’t, Windsor was playing sore from a big corky at training on Friday before the game apparently. He has the role to go at 85+. Fonti is similar, but he also has a bye and it’s not worth burning a trade on in my opinion.
Why go early on Murdock ???? Asking for trouble. And Bont has the r3 bye.
Young and Gulden out
Bont and cook in and still 142k in the bank
Crazy? Young scares me
TU – Serong
TD – LDU + 45k
This week: Gulden to Dovaston. Still fielding 22 + flex.
Next: Sellwood to Murdoch. Should be 21-22, no flex.
Sets up Poo to Bont after his bye. All via DPP shenanigans. Will be able to restore my switched to their rightful spots, too.
Realy comes down to Poo + Sellwood + Serong + 2 trades Vs Dovaston + Murdoch + Bont.
TU
TD
TU: Grundy –> Xerri – concerned with price drop
TD: Keep Grundy + save a trade, hope he has a blinder against the Hawks (historically he doesn’t)
Luke Jackson is my key target now that Young is out. C Serong can come in the following week. I have the cash to turn Young into Jackson.
TU- Good trade
TD- Bad trade
Cheers,
TH
short of on ballers this week..gulden out .. thinking of max hall as a replacement by puting petracca in midfield and max on the foward line…it gives me a bit more flexability having petracca as my only central player with foward status…..is this a good move
max hall of stkilda
TU: gulden + young > bont + murdock
Td: gulden > serong
Worried it may be too early to bring in the bont, open to other premos too
hey guys have a not so big problem but would like some help.
T/D keep your trades and miss out on murdoch
murdoch is essential for cash generation.
slightly annoying that Murdock is MID only. wait for teams, see who on your midfield bench doesn’t get picked.
there is a chance that Blamires gets dropped with Hardeman and Wardlaw coming back
Gulden out, do I:
T/U – trade in Sam Flanders who I faded…eek
T/D – dw bout it, save the cash and wait a week
Gulden + Coniglio -> Bont and Murdoch
I can’t afford to go straight to Bont in one trade. My other mids are butters, serong, naicos, Noah Anderson, bruhn and jagga smith. I know Bont has an upcoming bye but he’s probably going to go up in price after this week. I know Murdoch is a bit early also…
TU do it
TD no maybe do a single trade gulden maybe to Merrett.
I will need to trade Gulden and Young this week. Who should I bring in?
TU – Bont + Murdock
TD – Serong + Fonti (or another mid pricer)
Side note: option 1 leaves me with 155k itb. Is that too much?
TU: Blakey
TD: Mills
Gulden Replacement
TU: Merrett
TD: Callaghan
I am trading Gulden to Serong and Young to Paris and will have $153k in bank for next week corrective trades.
I have been burnt in past going early on rookies so will be waiting for rookies to be on bubble before trading them in.
Don’t think I’m keen on how this young injury is going to play out… All about Gulden to Bont but need to pick one of cook or murdock to make it happen
TU: Murdock
TD:Cook
Worried about ongoing OUTs for Young and managed minutes when he does return.
Trading Young -> Fonti. Pocket $90k. Swing Grlj into midfield.
Fonti should make ~$50k this week, assuming he keeps up his scoring. My team should be fine for his BYE.
Next week, once Sellwood (~+35k) has likely banked a small price upgrade, I’ll go Sellwood -> Murdoch (re-using Grlj DPP), pocketing a further ~$50k.
This gives me $230k in the bank…
If Fonti is a flop, I can use that cash to trade to J. Daicos / D. Houston / N. Blakey (or use it elsewhere).
Feels like a reasonable use of 3 trades over 2 weeks. Gets me a very early premo upgrade.
TU: Good plan, trade Young -> Fonti and see how next week plays out.
TD: Hold Young
i heard Taylor will be out for another 6-7 weeks. this will really help Fonti
Gulden to Serong
Gulden to Bont.
This is after trading Draper to Murdoch..
Serong will leave$320k in bank
Bonts will leave $184k
More dollars for upgrading young.
The Gulden sub:
T/U Serong
T/D Fonti + $270k
Cheers
Is it worth trading Watkins to Murdoch this week or hold this week and see what happens before price change on them both
T.u – trade this week
T.d – hold and wait
I can do Gulden > Jackson as long as I trade a rookie
Who do I also trade:
TU- Coleman to Murdoch
TD – D Sharp to Murdoch
who is your DPP for Coleman?
I can swing Grjl from mid to def
TU – Serong
TD – Callaghan
TU: Bont (expensive and bye rd 3)
Or
TD: Jackson
TU: Merret
TD: Holmes
Can afford to tank the bye round, this is for who to send Gulden out for
TU: Young direct to Fonti this week
TD: Hold Young for a week, see timeline, if bad, downgrade to a bubble rook and turn Blakiston into any premo (Other than Bont)
TU: Jackson
TD: Callaghan
trade out young for
tu W milera
td fonti + 130k
Team before trades
Def – Sinclair, Rozee, McCarthy, Windsor, Grji, Jaques, (Lindsay, Sellwood)
Mid – Bont, Butters, Daicos, Gulden, Young, Parish, Bruhn, Smith (Sharp, Carroll, Blamires)
Ruc – Jackson, English (McAndrew)
Fwd – Sheezel, Flanders, Budarick, Phillipou, Marshall, Lombard (Dovaston, Robertson)
Flex – Serong
$90,300 ITB
Decisions decisions….
Need a gulden trade out option
TU: Luke Jackson at flex (already have English and Xerri)
TD: Anderson
Need to trade Young out
TU: Murdock
TD: Fonti
If TD, still have time to bring Murdock in next week, but bit of an awkward price to move Fonti if he is a bust
Also dealing with the Young problem. Who to trade him for?
TU: Fonti
TD: Cook
I have Young to deal with and now Gibcus has been dropped. Currently thinking those two out and bringing in Fonti and Murdock. Helps keep cash gen going and hopefully solidifies a pretty leaky defence. Leaves enough in the bank to target Bont next week too, all going well.
TU/TD?
Gulden to Callaghan (one trade only)
OR
Gulden to Bontempelli
Windsor to Carroll
Is there any value in the option to hold Young? Fair chance everyone will want him back when he comes back, but with 40 trades maybe that’s not a big deal. Is he worth holding ?
