Match Preview: I don’t think the Hawks have been going as bad as their record suggests and if they were playing a lower ranked team, I’d probably pick them. Unfortunately for them, Sydney is not a lower ranked team and has been playing good footy of late.

oh boy, that is going to hurt a lot of teams big time now that traded early for last nights games and used Reeves in that trade mix …
Reeves out is a bummer. I wasted the trade for a 3 weeks Grundy cover and quick cash generation. I only found out after the game started.
It’s really a trade I couldn’t afford. Now I have to line up 15 instead of 16 R14… ouch..

Reeves out is an absolute nightmare for me… leapt outside the comfort zone and took a gamble bringing him in at R2 for grundy which allowed me to double upgrade on field elsewhere. Backfired big time
I think this hurts everyone…

Have both CCJ and Reeves. Reeves on bench doesn’t hurt me at all except I thought he’d be out scoring CCJ this week.

I recall somebody posting earlier in the season that if you haven’t used all your trades and trade the non-playing player back out, that it won’t count as an extra trade being used. Any truth to this?

I just did it. Went Flynn to Reeves earlier today then just did Reeves back to Flynn. Didn’t cost me a trade! It wasn’t a part of a multiple player trade so mileage may vary if players have to be moved around but the single player trade reversal definitely works
I think that was a 1 round glitch in the system a few years ago
Now I am sure the great site leader Motts won’t mind sharing this with his SCT regulars as he let me know about this himself.
Now there is a little known not well publicised but not really secret way you can reverse trades after the round has started.
If you have only traded Flynn to Reeves then trade Reeves back to Flynn or Grundy and you will get your trade and that player you traded out back in. Not sure it will work if you have done multiple trades.

I’ve only traded in Reeves for Warner and nothing else. So, it should work for me? (Sorry for the typo, very early here in NYC)
No I forgot to say it won’t work if you have used DPP swings in your trades.

Reeves out hurts as needed the cash of Flynn to do my upgrade this week.
TU : trade out Madden or Waterman instead of Flynn to get the upgrade cash I need (Flynn will then be traded out when Reeves is ready to come in)
TD : still trade out Flynn for CCJ (was trading him in anyway this week as a FWD, but can trade him in as a RUCK and move him to FWD once Reeves is named)
Probably should mention that if I trade out Flynn for CCJ then I need another rookie to trade in to be able to get my upgrade done (so I have 18 on field this week). Is Newcombe worth a shot?
TU – yes trade in Newcombe so you can get an upgrade done this week and 18 on field
TD – leave Flynn in, no upgrade this week, CCJ comes in for RCD only, as a fwd. 17 on field.
Just traded Reeves back out for Warner, and it worked, still have 4 trades.
Then traded Warner to Hall, which also worked, now have 3 trades.
