Game Chat – Sydney v Western Bulldogs

Written by Motts on June 25 2020

Where and when: SCG, Thursday 25 June 2020 • 7:40 PM (AEST)

Last time they met:

Saturday March 23, 2019

Bulldogs 11.16 (82) def Sydney 9.11 (65) at the Docklands.

What it means for The Doggies: A chance to back up the great win last week and improve their percentage (which isn’t great: 67%).

What it means for Sydney: A chance to consolidate after a good win against North away last round. Potentially a top 4 spot if other results go their way.

Mottsy Watch: Will McInerney get named this week? Looking forward to seeing how Dunkley’s absence affects (improves) Smith’s scores.

Mottsy’s Tip: Sydney by 10 points.

      1. Yeah. It’s odd, Chillo.

Bont’s such an impact player, basically won them the game in the first two quarters. Why wouldn’t you take him out?

Eh, not to worry. Vindicates my suggestion in the captaincy article to VC him. Wanted to go J. Kelly -> Bont myself this week, but needed cover up FWD.

    1. Well done Abs. The worrying thing is the Dogs have picked up 2 more injuries. That’s bad news for their scoring going forward. 160 points easy.

  4. Watching game and fanfooty , parker gets a free and kicks about 20 metres to a teammate and goes up about 6 points and lloyd does a handball and goes up 10???

      1. Bruce P, I used to wonder why as well.
        It was explained like this;

TV doesn’t often give the “full picture” of events.
Parker free kick, disposal uncontested (?) to a player uncontested (?) and what happens after their disposal (???)
LLoyd, how did he obtain possession, was it a good disposal and what happens/end after that = effectiveness.

That’s probably why there are so many assistant coaches, to help determine good plays/players.
…..and no I wasn’t one of those tds’, even though I have LLLLLlllllllooooyyyyddddddddie. LOL
        Cheers hope that helps.
