Game Chat – WBD v Essendon

Written by Motts on August 8 2021

Where and when: The Docklands at 3:20pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Round 7, 2020: Essendon 7.9 (51) DEF BY WBD 14.9 (93) at Carrara.

Last five: WBD 4-1, Essendon 2-3

Match Preview: It’s do-or-die time for the Bombers who sit 1 win outside the 8 in 10th but in a log jam with three other teams on 8 wins. Does sheer will and determination get them over the line against the #1 Dogs? It didn’t against both NSW teams over the last 2 weeks.

Mottsy Watch:

Bont, Macrae, Daniel

Tippa, Durham, Merrett

Mottsy’s Tip: Doggies by 30 (tipping record 40/56).

  1. My bombers must win to have any faint finals chance after all the results so far gone the wrong way. Against the doggies….what could possibly go wrong ???
Any one else not have any of danger, greene, jelly, mills ???

    1. Danger yes, Mills no so dodged a bullet there, Jelly far too injury prone for my liking and Greene on never ever list due to being the biggest flog in the Afl. Should go for more than two!

        1. It was a football incident as already stated….

Problem is it’s Greene who is hated by the tribunal and it’s Dangerfield who is loved by everybody.

Please let him play next week please.

Greene Owner (with no trades and no bench cover)

          1. Let this be a lesson as to why you should put him on your never again list. Just can’t be trusted.

  2. Geesh bombers… I book my september holiday or not ???

Given covid, any holiday will only be to my man cave anyway.
