  1. Matthew Owies is a late out for Carlton, replaced in the selected side by Josh Honey.

    #AFLEaglesBlues medical substitutes:
    @WestCoastEagles – Greg Clark
    @CarltonFC – Will Hayes

  2. Would love an article this week on which clubs are now using a hard tag on opponents – might help when trying make the difficult decision on VC & Captain options. So many times I’ve got it wrong this season, and again this week with Neale (I know I’m not on my own there). Don’t think I will bother captaining Neale again this season – VC option only, as just can’t seem to be able to score well with a tag.

    1. I’m not sure on how much of a tag affected Neale, as Caldwell had 26 disposals being the one on Neale.
      This had them involved in the game, but Neale only laid 3 tackles, for Caldwell 7.
      It almost acted as Neale didn’t put in as much effort and half the team out, being players like Zorko and Rich, which helped stop supplying him the ball from half back

      1. OK – didn’t see the game and that makes sense. I was a bit concerned with as many outs as the Lions had, if that was going to have a negative effect on Neale’s game. Wanted to go Laird but with so many many opponents having Neale as Captain, its always a worry to go someone else, in case Neale goes huge.

    2. Disposals when matched up on one another this afternoon (69 mins in total):

      Lachie Neale 16

    1. Cripps went backwards in scoring that quarter…..
      Has had 11 disposals but 46% DE, with all 3 turnovers in the 2nd term

  3. I could imagine a HUGE amount of rage trading after the completion of this round – if anyone had any trades left.
    I would love to rid myself of Cripps and Crisp bit have only 4 precious trades remaining

  4. Cripps will end in the 80’s or low 90’s which with his 22 at half time I’ll take every day!!!

    1. Cripps seemed to play a lot forward today?

      Would love to see his split between MID and FWD over the past few weeks – if anyone has them (or knows how to find them)?

      He looked good when around the ball, but lots of guys rotating through the middle for Carlton at the moment (Hewett, Walsh, Kennedy, Cerra etc).
