  1. 2470 and VC’d Oliver but somehow didn’t take the C off Gawn. Too much attention on the races possibly…
Burnt 80 points due to stupidity/beer.
Was 111th overall, hopefully sneak back into the top 100 but there are big scores out there.

  2. 2391/Grundy/ Was 360 now 300

Scott killed my chance of going over 2400. Guthrie getting injured is a real concern and might not comeback until after byes. Not sure what to do this week with my trades. Go for a super Premo in the Midfield or 2 solid picks in the forwards. Either 2 of Hall/Martin/Heeney.

  3. 2411/Oliver

First timed I’ve cracked 2400 this season but hopefully not the last.

Moved up 477 spots to 1285th overall.

  4. Scored 2419 with Oliver.
Treloar and Rozee scoring poorly let me down but they were both risky picks. Funny how it bites you on the ass. Still managed to move up around 40 places to 123 OA. Trades will be dependent on availability and my patience with Treloar coupled with bye structure.

  5. 2229/Reg/6.4k (out another 1200 places)

After the the past few weeks I would’ve been happy with this score but got smashed by folk with over 2400, mostly with Satan as VC. Can’t complain I didn’t VC him as I don’t have him.

Copped the Scott 18 like a lot, but ave scores from CJ, Short and Stewart didn’t help. Only used one trade (Lyons) which was good but now have to find cash for bye round trades – yikes!

Vice captaining Oliver is where 19% of my score came from. Pretty good score for my second year.

If I had the intestinal fortitude to use Highmore as a loophole I’d have been able to take Oliver’s VC score. Would be ranked about in the 130’s if I had.

Scott and Butts out this week and will probably just go one up, one down so I have enough cash to double upgrade in byes. Almost $400k in the bank, 17 trades left, and Highmore my only rookie not playing.

Scored nearly 250 below projected. Every week I upgrade my team and every week my scores gets worse. Getting pretty despondent.
Not having Oliver or Bont really hurt this week and Scott’s 18 was another kick in the nuts. I long for the day when I can look at my team at the end of a round and not see a sub 40 score.

Ok, move along now, nothing more to see here……..

  10. 2298/Gawn/6070 (up 1 spot)

I guess that counts as moving in the right direction. Won 7/10 leagues.
New recruit Guthrie was looking good early but now I’m hoping he doesn’t miss next week.
Tom Green starting to look like he could be a keeper in this crazy season but CJ is testing my patience.
Big decision to make now…double downgrade to maximise cash for bye rounds or get a premo in and get closer to finished?

  11. 2250/Grundy/12,839 (–316)

Pretty much held rank, which was alright considering I sacked VC-ing Satan due to lack of a loophole.

Short, Dusty and Stewart were under par, but wrapped that I started Bont. Just been so good.

Got a smoky upgrade target in mind this week, we’ll see if teamsheets dictate anything otherwise I’ll forge ahead with that.

  12. 2,469/Grundy/6,090 (up 3,485)

Big jump this weekend, wanted to VC Oliver but had no loophole options for Sat/Sun so put it on Zorko on Friday.

Grabbed Caleb Daniel and am happy with his first score, only premium that was below par was Short. Big props to N. Cox (89) who will now hopefully stop bleeding cash for a couple weeks.

Done alright for having 2 premises in the bench had to take Scott’s 18 to cover Brayshaw plus Lachie Jones score since Salem was late out

Left plenty of points out there which is a bit frustrating, but still moving in the right direction. Reasonably happy with my byes position also.

  16. Finally game enough to post a comment in here after the year from hell so far. 2410, rose 6751 spots to a very modest 21k after being about 50k four weeks ago. Edge of the seat round that saw me win my cash league by 2 pts after upscaling. Score could have been even better if I had not missed moving the c to Bont after Maxy modest performance. Sunday was nerve racking after Murphy named med sub as he was my only c loop available…forced to bring in Jones which ended up just getting me over the line, and had to still move the c to Merrett or Jones would have been stuck with it. Huge shout to massive pod Bailey Dale who in the three weeks since I got him has averaged 109. Lukosious finally down back helped…stay there son !!
Hope not to trade this week, very strong rd 12, then start the run home.

  17. 2337/Macrae/2556

Very happy with my score this week seeing as i banked 281k. I couldn’t take the Oliver VC due to the risk involved with Highmore and Bergman subs but very happy with Big macs 149

    Studs:

    Laird
    Oliver
    Macrae
    Titch
    Grundy
    Zorko

    Duds:
    Short
    May
    Scott

Trades this week are Scott to Madden and Bergman to Steele banking 148k

  18. 2096 – Gawn C

+ 3 Votes: Laird, Crisp, Ridley, Macrae, Walsh, Zerrett, Mitchell, Gawn, Grundy, Zorko, Impey, Ziebell

    – 3 Votes: May, Jones, Prior, Jordon, Powell, Martin, Scott, Waterman. Me for leaving RCD, Rowe on the bench and bringing Jones in instead of Poulter.

Double downgrade this week Prior to Madden and Rowe to Weightman leaves 511K in the bank to double upgrade Jordan and Powell to Oliver and 1 other next week. Also only leaves 11 trades but subbing Bolton back on field if he comes back this week effectively gives me 1 up 2 down this week.

  19. 2089 / Grundy / Down 3290 to 6469 OA.

Well my luck ran out this week.

    The Good.
    Bont.
    Mills
    Laird
    Gawn
    Grundy
    Zorko
    Walsh*

    The Bad.
    5 x Premo’s under the hundred.
    6 scores < 55

    The Ugly.

    No Titch or Oliver
    Scott on field for Brayshaw.
    *Walsh VC

    * Walsh was on 103 at the half and I was looking at a huge Captains score. He only scored 13 for the whole second half. 🙁

Then watching Clarry torch the Crows ( with half my opponents Captaining him ) was torture.

Ah well, there's always next week.
