Horror week for me bad captain choice and a fair bit of spuds 🙁

    Studs:
    Howe (On Debut)
    Neale
    Fyfe
    Starcevich
    Cripps
    D.Smith
    Taylor
    Rowell

    Duds:
Ceglar (Traded Brayshaw to him =[ )
    Titch (c)
    Noble
    Laird
    Houston
    Jacobs
    Viney

Likely trades are Zerk and Green to Rivers and Cameron or Flogging Houston off.

  2. Not the right thread I know, but would love a poll to see how many trades were used this round – reckon the majority of coaches would have used the entire 5? Sturt not being named means I only did the 4. Back to 2 trades next week will make it interesting with plenty of rookies on the bubble.

    1. Lisa I went with 5 and happy with that as it included Walter and Ridley, plus rookie corrections. Wingard not so good.

We coime up against each other in the millionaires league this week and have very similar looking sides…..trades this week might be critical.

        1. haha – your side still looks good mate … just the luck of the draw! I’m sure you’ll come home strong! As long as we knock off that Man Catta in his league, it will all be sweet!!

  3. I am considering renaming my team SwissCheese@SCT as my squad has soooooo many holes in it.
Brodie Smith – run to the ball not away from it.
Chad Wingard – you also get points for doing the basics well and not just that flashy shit you always try
Thank you to Goldy, your a champ. Rowell – just wow. Dunkley – I never doubted you (much)
BTW I had 2138/ Coniglio but have lost most of my leagues

Not going to blame any rookies, but was let down by
    -Not fielding Stacevich’s 99
    -Martin 79
    -Houston 60
    -Ceglar 71
    -Kelly 89 x 2 as captain

    Was ranked 4900

Hoping to move up a few ranks? Not sure what to do with Houston and Doedee..

    Duds all backline besides Docherty
    Led by Laird , Houston
Thought I would be clever and bring in late debutant Young to leave Starcevich stranded on bench .

One of those weeks. Captain choice wasn’t stellar; bringing in Heeney didn’t go so well; Sauce Jacobs was towelled up by Goldstein, and bringing in Noble instead of Starcevich to replace Roberton seems like where I’ve lost most of my points.

Lot of potential trades to ponder – lot of rookies on the bubble, do I bring in Pittonet?

    1. Ooof, Jov. Unlucky on a lot of those calls – it happens, dw.

Yeah, I’m liking Pittonet as well. Just a question of whether it’s worth sacking Doedee (who I just brought in) and two more trades.

        1. Hey, Andy.

Either I’ll stick it out or trade him to bring in Pittonet. Usually I’d just cop it, but his BE is now 65 and the Crows are terrible this year. Hmm.

      1. Likewise, I’d have to give Noble the sack to bring in Pittonet. I’m not sure if my ego could handle bringing Starcevich in after opting to leave him out of the team.

  8. 2390/Gawn/3255

Ended up ranking 677 for this round and jumping 40,000 places OA – very happy.

Copped a lot of the same poor rookie scores as everyone else did (along with new recruit Doedee’s 36), but Gawn, Neale, Petracca, Dunkley and Lloyd brought things back.

  9. 2370 / Gawn / was 50,652 – now 5,743

That’s more like it – happy with the climb in ranks this week. Very glad I changed Captain to Gawn from Macrae in the final moments. Was sweating with Rowell’s 171 parked on the pine, but thankfully Tom Green wasn’t a late IN so I could move him onto the field, and giving McInerney his bench spot.

Welcomed Howe on debut in my team, and loved the contributions of rookies Rowell & Starcevich, plus the usual suspects of Neale, Cripps, Dunkley, Oliver, Gawn, Grundy & D Smith.

Won 9/10 leagues this week, after losing 8 last week.

Poorest effort f0r the longest time!! Didn’t help going bush with no reception and not being back in time to finalise my loops. Consequently left Starc, Taylor and Rowell (ouch!!) on the pine and didn’t get to use Maxxie as my C so missed about 300 points that could’ve been avoided. I know, sob story, my fault so wear it. Needless to say lost all 10 leagues.
Going to take some catching up from here but I’m up for it.

Moved up 8400+ spots. Of my 5 trades this week I reckon I finished about square. Howe and Cameron were good ins. Doedee and Long not so much. Jury is still out on Bennell. Of my outs I think BSmith, BZT, Cavarra and Green were good calls but may have been a bit hasty offloading Brayshaw. Time will tell.

Neale was a champ. Macrae needs to lift. Turns out Noble wasn’t! Ruck situation is going to be interesting this week as I have Grundy and Naismith.

Studs-Lloyd, Starcevich, Fyfe, Cripps, Oliver, Rowell, D.Smith, Grundy (shouldn’t have put the c on him)

    Muppets-B.Smith, Macrae, English, Martin.
Dusty and Macrae should be fine long term, Smith and English are on the chopping block.

What a week I’ve jumped up over 13,000 spots
    9 players tonned up for me . I had 4 players score 150 +
I kept BZT which enabled me to use Starcevich’s score.
No trades needed this week and I have $120,000 in the bank.
    All Smiles this week
