Had a good round, all non rookies ton’d up except Brayshaw.
Went Cripps to Bolton to strengthen FWD line.
Only downside was not taking Grundys VC before Melbourne game

Scaling was kind to Gawn shoulda backed Grundy in for C instead though

Pretty sure that’ll result in a drop out of the top 100 unfortunately.
Tex to go this week, couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger during the week…

  4. 2118/Gawn/looks to be a drop from 10k

Missed out on Grundy as VC due to very late scaling and him raising from 115 to 128. I also had to deal with Harrison Jones on the bench with 60, then having Owies and McCreery on the field with lower scores, expecting more from them.

Had a few premos this week with lowsy scores being Brodie Smith, May, Walsh and my favourite Zac Williams!
I’ll give Walsh a let off as it was still an 89 and he has done well. May another let off due to him being more a lockdown defender on Buddy, however Smith and Williams just are unacceptable. I can’t be accepting 11 turnovers from Smith and then 9 disposals from Williams. Williams looks like he may be getting the flick this week.

Also had to deal with Murphy from Collingwood with his concussion and another potential doughnut next week. Real happy with Scott’s score with 85, so should make some nice money in the next 1-2 rounds.

For Premos Laird, Merrett, Duncan, Oliver and Grundy were all great and Impey also threw in a great game, which is what I like to see.
It may have not been the best week but should be generating some nice cash for some rookie upgrades

Didn’t make any trades this week so pretty happy with the score.

    1. New rank 3213.

Finished 663 last year, so aim is to better that. Come back nicely after a poor start & in a difficult season

    Lost cash league by 13pts.
Had VC on Grundy and would have been nice to know that his score jumped from 115 to to 128 before Gawn game started.

Up around 2200 spots after a solid week. Premos I paid top dollar for early like Laird, Bont and Zerrett starting to fire, recruits RoMo and Bowes have been serviceable and 80s from Butts and Rowe were sweet.

Dusty and Racca sub par but back them in long term.

      1. Ah cheers, CT.

Taranto, Duncan and McCluggage gave me a run for my money lol. The latter two are great, high ceiling PODs. Will be great long term, nice pick-ups.

  8. 2247/Macrae/5282 (up 1094)

Was intending to captain Zerrett after VCing Dusty but didn’t make the change so missed 20 odd points there.
Won 8/10 leagues and moved up 19 spots in SCT group.
My biggest problem is all the DNPs sitting on my bench (6/8). This is going to cause dramas during the byes I think.

  10. 2273 / Grundy / 2711 (up 814)

Finally got going in the right direction again. New recruit JKelly was good, new recruit Murphy was also good until he wasn’t. Leaving Impey on the bench might have been a mistake also!

Was going to bring in Ridley this week, but might hold fire with 20 trades remaining.

    1. Nice work, Chillo.

Yeah, was also looking at Ridley this week but short 2k. Holding trades might be the best move long term though idk.

      3

      0
      1. Thanks GD. Ridley’s BE is still 119, so waiting another week won’t hurt much in terms of cash.

The one I am looking at though is Poulter, he ticks most of the downgrade boxes

        6

        0
        1. Yep, thinking maybe just Poulter.

Got Mansell D6 then Highmore and Jones on the bench. Might even cop a donut and conserve trades tbh.

Mansell guaranteed to be dropped for Grimes and only going to serve up another 45 lol.

          Anyway, will let it stew.

Good luck, Chillo. Congrats again on the rank.

  11. 2290 / Gawn / 408 (+183)

Lots of ✔️ but my favorites are Scott, Butts & McNeil who just keep making $$$.

❌ did Walsh get tagged by Curnow?

  12. 2297/Duncan/4,863 (was 7,057)

    Pretty happy with that.
Not too much to complain about this week with on field rookies like Scott, Jordon and Rowe all scoring above 80 and all other on field rookies scoring at least over 60.

Martin the only real let down.

  13. 2257/Grundy/3024 (up 690)

Pretty happy considering I held my trades. Studded up (120+) Titch, Zerrett, Fyfe, Lairdy, Taranto and Reg.

Dud was Tex who I would have traded except Bolton was the only one I would’ve considered but missed the cut off Friday night.

Happy my gamble not to trade paid off with 80+ scores from Rowe, Scott and Jordan. What to do next week???

  14. 2365/Guthrie/was 1500 now 667

Best score for the year, so far… Traded Walker to Guthrie before the start of the round. Looks like it was a good move. Guldin & Warner were the only players to score less than 80 points for my team this week. Guldin is now gone to Poulter and RCD to a dead rookie for cash generation. Then upgrade the following week. Hoping Flynn to play this week so I can upgrade him to Marshall and push traecy to R3.

  15. 2125/Gawn/9294

It’s like whack-a-mole. Each week, I get a 20-30 scoring player out of my team, only for a new one to pop up. Ughh. Thanks Tex.
Also, I’ve now captained Gawn for his 3 lowest scores of the season.
Zerrett’s 131 was my highest score of the week, so no-one really made up for the scores of Tex, Cox & my speculative pick Sholl, who after 3 weeks looks to be a bust.
On the plus side, the decision to ditch Cripps was vindicated.

  16. 2227/Grundy/2630 (up 196). 9/10, beat the Father by 1 point in the end.

Poulter and Zorko already traded in for Walker and Campbell. So, barring reversal 166k cash reserve and 15 trades left.

No rush on Dusty. Will be looking for depth for the byes with rookies and picking up fallen premos on the cheap.

I certainly never imagined my “premos” would be what they are in 2021.

Certainly a challenging season, both from injuries and busting preconceptions.

……what more can you say when you’re beaten by a Lousy Team???….Ouch!! …Congrats Tom.

Ps…… ok then…. GD, FD……etc, etc………The severe damage to my sitting mussels(??) will also be noted as being due to your contribution…..

2004/Ziebell/a lot lower than last week

    1. Ouch chameleon, I’m surprised I won any league matchups this week let alone 4/7. We both struggled. Out of curiosity you got any plans to trade Howe? He was the difference this week between us

      1. Contemplated it,…….then got the report he was back in full training. Besides that, I’ve probably already exceeded my quota of dumb moves for awhile; Cox, Fogarty, Brayshaw and Robertson should keep me in good stead until I look at sports analysts again…..

Had a few passengers throughout the weekend. I’m looking at you brayshaw,. Atkins and Walsh! I’m still unsure how Daniel pulled off a ton after being on 25 points for 3 quarters. Happy with rank will keep pushing with 21 trades remaining

  19. 2028/Gawn/8000 exactly lol

Where to begin. Plummeted down the rankings with a round rank of 55000!

+3s to Taranto McNeil and Scott

-3s too many to count. Rookies on field killed me this week, binned Rowe for him to go big and mcreery and RCD combined. Had a three way choice 2 weeks ago between Lyons bont and petracca and petracca is making me regret it. Phillips hot garbage but looks like hell somehow stay in my time this week. Warner and gulden to poulter and Bolton this week. Cash to upgrade either kosi or Phillips next week.

  20. 2113 – Macrae.

Went Gawn into Macrae so should’ve taken that and one my main league which I lost by 7 points.

3 votes – Steele, Grundy, Ziebell, Crisp, Gawn, Impey, Zorko, Bolton, Merrett, Laird, Powell and Jordon.

    – 3 votes- Gawn, Macrae, McGrath, Ridley, myself for having Mcreery on field instead of Rowes 81, May, Walsh, Brayshaw, Kozi.

Crap week too many guns didn’t fire a shot and Andy McGrath has done nothing but let me down consistently.

Slightly disappointed, with underwhelming scores from Walsh, May, Treloar and Ridley.

Shout out to PODs Docherty and Titch for their monster scores.

    1. Nice one Nateo.

May had his hands full with Buddy this week,he should bounce back. Congrats on the monster score and increase in rank.

      I scored 2251 / Gawn / (up 814) to…. 3741

      The Good

I saved both trades.( still 20)this meant I kept and fielded Rowe for an 81.
      Both my Pods fired…
      Mills 145
      B Crouch 108

      Bont
      Grundy
      Laird
      Steele
      Zorko
      Impey
      Ziebell
      CJ

      All solid or better.

Scott, Powell and Jordan, continue to score well and make cash.

      The Bad.

Captain Gawn. (I got cold feet waiting for Grundy to get scaled up )

      The Swans Rookies .

They look almost cooked with below par scores again.
Gulden maybe first to go as Warner is still getting a few CBA’s.

      Brayshaw

He played on a wing in the first half, and was on 23 at HT.
They moved Fyfe forward and Andy went back to the guts and scored 47 in the second half. still a worry though.

      The Ugly

      Kosi’s 38

Just one more 60+ score would of helped his price growth.
Now he’s in no mans land.

All but one of my bench ( Berry) did not play 🙁

Congrats to Emile, his Top Rankine @SCT team beat me in my Donkeys league.
