Tech Leagues Update.

Written by JimmyDee on May 9 2021

Amongst the ruck carnage and donuts in the backline, one team stood tall this round. DR’s Tech Team smashed out an incredible 2325 while nobody else was able to crack 2200. Well done indeed DR. Pretty obviously DR has leapt to the lead in the SCTTL Group.

Daniels has somehow managed to fill his team with some hefty premos including Gawn, Grundy, Macrae, Ridley, Mills, Fyfe and the real Daniel Rich. This mob threw out some big numbers and sets the standard moving into the byes.

I wonder who else has managed to get this sort of talent in their side after only eight rounds. Why don’t you drop us a line and let us know.

I’ll also try and whip up a post on how many players Tech League coaches have moved on at this stage of the season, how many trades etc and if you have planned for the byes or gone for the points grab.

  1. Don’t worry about 2200, couldn’t even crack 2000 which is fairly typical of my plight. I keep trying to fill holes to avoid donuts and still end up with at least one each week. Couldn’t find a way to bring in Big Maxxie so still have to hope Mummy goes off to a health spa and Flynn gets a gig this round.

Only have what I’d reliably call 13 keepers, of which I thought Williams might be one, and nearly half the trades gone. Also still have Neale and Prestia. Think I’m doomed to languish down the fat end of the group.

  2. I can say 2063 is not too bad of a score considering I went with 21 players and took a doughnut in the ruck. If I knew Sweet was playing before Saturday, he would have likely came into the team for Hunter.

The way it seems is Williams is gone this week and then a rookie trade will occur. I’m thinking either Sweet comes in or someone like Young/Kosi will be offloaded to get some cash itb.

I’m wanting to offload Higgins/Phillips but with limited performing forwards and lacking trades I feel I have to continue to hold them, as I won’t suffer as much with them as I feel I will with Williams as more doughnuts have occurred from him

  3. 2100 for me this week, only my 2nd over 2000. Might go with a double downgrade this week and next week bring in Ridley and Dusty/Hind or around that value

  4. Phil Gilbert Allstars scored 2193 with $532500 itb.
    Ranked 44865
Burning through the trades with 5 rookie upgrades to come.
I have accepted that I will end season with some mid pricers on field.
This week bringing in Gawn & rolling the dice with mid pricer Hall.
Previous premo trade ins are Grundy, Mills, Laird, Petracca, Stewart, Ziebell, Macrae, Marshall.
Current mid pricers on field are Stephenson, Phillips, Buckley and now Hall.
On field rookies are Koschitske, Powell, Jordan, McNeil, Scott

  8. Yep – the Tech League is a train wreck of injuries and outs all year … teh winner will be the person who has managed to:
    1. hold any “mid price” strugglers (like Phillips) and
    2. traded in the players that dont get injured …
and maybe also been lucky enough to play Rowe on those weeks he bloody scores well like last week!!
