  1. 2,082/Brayshaw/was ranked 1,867, but going to fall a long way after this score

It was looking a lot worse at half-time of the Dockers game with Brayshaw on 21 points. At least his second half salvaged what was looking at one point a sub 2,000 score.

Disappointing scores from Miller, Ryan & Butters holding me back this week. Hopefully my team has a better showing next round!

    Underwhelming scores from every line
Hall, miller, butters the worst culprits

  3. 2208/Neale (straight C as no loop option) was about 14k
Seems about a par score from what I can see, although did win 7/8 league match ups.

Satan, Cogs, Dunks and Steele good
Butters really only higher priced under performer, with a few need to improves!!

Only left about 14 points on the bench with no loops, that could have been worse so all happy overall.

  4. 2172/Neale

Good: Dunkley, Oliver, Coniglio, Hinge, Gresham, Daicos
All scoring quite well with a few to get a huge increase in price. Don’t mind my POD in Blakey with 96 either

Bad: Mills, Ryan, Butters, Rachele, Captains
Those players scored poorly, with many below 75. The captains didn’t really fire either being Macrae and Neale, but still it was better than a 50 and it was a common choice.

Not expecting a trade this week as I’m sticking to the premos I started with

  5. 2379/ Neale. Made a few big calls and this week they paid off. Hope to move up the rankings from 21k. Hoping to get Preuss and Martin in this week to further strengthen the team.

    1. Woah! Nice, Mick!

Expect to see yourself feature in the SCT Leagues & Coaches Update tmmrw.

Might even take out SCT Coach of the Week with that score, great work!

      1. Thanks GD. All the advice and help given on this site is second to none and I appreciate the contribution so many people make. Happy to have a good week but we all now that can change very quickly.

Regretfully traded out Gawn for Witts (instead of Whitfield or Chapman who were my preferred choices but didn’t have the funds) to pay for Cripps & Xerri but it turned out OK. Chapman’s score bumped up to 101 got me over the line by 2 points in one of the leagues so happy with that.

A lot of low premium scores this week – Macrae, Butters, Miller meant not many hundreds in my score but still managed to win 7/10 league games so rapt with that.

  7. 2304/Oliver

    Happy with the score

Had Stephens on the bench for Ward which was a plus. Had McCartin D6 instead of Chapman so that’s not great

  8. 2320/Cripps/ was 22,345

Won 10/10 leagues , pretty happy since I’ve used 6 trades already (fml)

Gawn, Steele, Ward became English, Neale and Cripps this week which was a positive points wise (hope that continues). I fielded JHF over Daicos and Hayes over Martin which cost me 40 odd points and had the same underwhelming premos as everyone else (Macrae, Touk, Butters) but I held Whit and Chapman who were both great. Preuss at R2 didn’t hurt either! Will be holding fire on trades for a while if I can stay away from that trade button I love so much.

    1. Great stuff, SG.

Power to a fellow Preuss R2 brother!

Saw you take FT to the cleaners and top score in Gun’s Regulars #1.

      Nicely done.

  9. 2208 Oliver.
Traded Darcy to Witt’s, serong to brayshaw and Chappy to Hewitt
Unfortunately I put Witt’s on pine and was planning to use Dixon as vc loop but then late Saturday Dixon gets the call up. Used m Rioli as capt but having Witt’s score in the pine hurt.

A disappointing end, but lots of cash gen. Only used 2 trades, which were rookie corrections and only on the bench.

  11. 2250 / Cripps / tragic

Slightly above average this week, which is good because I have a lot of ground to make up! Couldn’t loop after Dixon was named, but thankfully the new recruit posted an adequate number.
Used three trades so far, but hopefully just the one this week and then sit tight for a while. Will need to look at the rucks though – I’m not sure running Hayes at R2 is a long term solution…

Only 1 DNP Rookie, Stephens, Rachele the only let down/vs expectation rookie wise. Butters the worst of the premiums. Happy all in all.

    1. Only way to get better besides different captains choice was Durdin over Rachele, and who the hell was doing that!?!

  13. 2081/Neale/out of the top 10k I suspect

Tough week and come down from last week, with many not doing their normal job, although most of the rookies fired so cash gen will kick off with a good start. Just need to trust the process and data now and stay away from the panic trades.

  14. 2213/Oliver/ 19k currently no round update.

What a roller coaster of a weekend. Thanks to gd spectacular captaincy article I dodged a lot of the misfiring premos and nailed a Oliver VC. Had some good efforts from Brodie cogs dunks and Steele negated the poor efforts from butters, Ryan and a couple meh rookie scores.

Overall feeling good, still haven’t used any trades and got all the good rookies so trusting the process and will see what next week brings.

First C bungle in years, so not too phased. Parish, Hall (who replaced Whitty lol) and Butters all ass but my rucks ROB and Preuss were a deadly combo this week. Durdin’s 73 also very helpful.

Managed to put away LG, Schwarz, Cham and FT but went down to Emile, Tom and RB in our respective leagues. Also notched up a win in the opening round of LoEC #1 which I’m admin-ing against Joe.

  16. 2297/Dunkley/Now ranked 1,063

Pretty stoked with this after 2537 last week, travelling nicely.
Brought in Cripps/Bowey/Stephens for Whitfield/Berry/Soligo this week and largely happy with returns – Stephens was no good but also the most sensible trade in so can’t really say I regret it. Will be getting in Martin for Baldwin this week and then ideally sitting tight until some cows are ripe.

Have had a lot go well so far, namely starting English and most of the right mid priced cows – Blakey, Brodie and Xerri have been great, Curnow also solid after a rocky R1 (hoping he can have a large score at the right time come culling season).

Funnily enough, I think starting Steele > Macrae has me better off in terms of overall points – would’ve probably had Macrae/Macrae/Touk as captain over the first three if I had Macrae, but instead I’ve had Miller/Neale/Dunkley!
Macrae still looking like he would’ve been a better pick, but SuperCoach is funny like that.

I’m not alone with disappointing premiums this week, and I’ll give it another couple of weeks before really starting to regret starting some of them, but 3 weeks in and some 750 off the pace already means I’ve probably made poor choices yet again this season.
Happy with most of the rookies/cash gen players though.

Up 227 places to 33 had the VC on Oliver but would have needed to reverse my trade in of Martin to take it which in hindsight should have done but still extremely happy with the result.

Stephens over Ward kept me below 2200 but can’t be too upset this week with the low scores hitting all of us

  20. 2,232 / Neale / Up 8,863 to 12,858.

Traded Whitfield to Bowey, Macgovern to Martin, and Ward to Cripps. Happy with all those. Have $123,900 in the bank I can use to turn someone in Preuss later on.

  21. 2124/Neale/25k for the season, was top 15k after a mediocre start

Good – Hinge, Cripps and Hewett all performed after I traded them in, which is a rare occurrence. Coniglio and Dunley my two highest scorers

Bad – Only 9 hundreds for the round, and Darcy decided to leave me with Jack Hayes as cover without playing. 9 players scored sub 90 points, with the worst offenders being Rachele, butters and ward

  22. 2322 / Neale / 687 overall.

Traded Berry to Caldwell and Dixon to Hayes. Was spewing at the growth potential I missed with Bowey (can’t believe he scored as high s 90 having watched the game), but would have been at Whitfield’s expense.

A few hits and misses this week
Bowey, Xerri , Cripps ins this week performed well.
Oliver , Coniglio, English Dunkley starred
under-performers this week – Butters , Ryan , Miller, Macrae
mid pricers / rookies generally did well.
    ie Brodie , Rowell , Berry , Hinge ,

  24. 2335, was generally happy, Oliver as captain a good pick, few average scores from a few premos, but overall pretty happy. Still have 35 trades and all the good rookies in my team.

  25. 2214 / Neale / 10k

Brought in Caldwell, Xerri and Bowey. Trading Mead wasn’t ideal but very pleased with the cash gen nonetheless.

Happy with how the team’s looking, sticking fat with Gawndy.

  26. 2115/Neale/15,117 (down 6k)

Won 5 out of 8 leagues, the other three I lost to the same person XD

Worst round this season for me so far, but I’m not worried yet. I think there’s plenty of premos who’ve been surprisngly up or down. So again, gotta move onto next round.

Had the C on Miller for most of the week before the round started, and ended up switching to Neale earlier on Friday which helped somewhat.

Hits – Coniglio, Oliver, Dunkley, Gawn (finally), Ridley and Short
Misses – Stephens, Miller, Butters, Rachele and Crisp

My newest recruit to the side Bowey went pretty well, but that man who I traded him in for (Chapman) decided to score a ton. But Bowey still made more money, which was the main reason for trading him in, plus he has a higher ceiling while Salem is still out. So not disappointed with my decision either way.
The other new guy Hayes did alright (traded him in for Dixon), didn’t seem too affected by playing alongside both Marshall and Ryder.

  28. 2116/ Clarry / 27 146.

    1/10 league wins. 🙁

Not great considering I nailed the Captain this week when others failed.

I just lost too many Rookie roulettes with Stephens and Hayes on field.

Overall the team is looking pretty good so I shouldn’t complain.

  29. 2199/Neale/16435 which was just average with so many premos not firing. Rose 5000 spots with that score !! Very happy with structure of side so hoping for good things ahead.

  30. 2277 / Oliver / 773

First time I’ve ever been ranked in the top 1000 – won 9/9 league matches.

Couldn’t ask for much more – only players I’ve really got wrong are Whitfield and Steele – and even then it hasn’t been too bad. Now the trading starts so watch me drop well back :/
