    Could drop 10,000 places 🙁

Hinge , Ryan , Ridley , Bowey , Oliver , Cripps , Rowell , Butters , Xerri , Mc cartin , Coniglio all fails this week

  2. 2173 / Cripps / down down rankings are down

I know I’m not alone in this boat, but here’s how Sunday Bloody Sunday went for the Champs:

    * Cripps (c) – subbed out
    * Hinge – subbed out
    * Rowell – potatoes
    * Martin – scored 84, on field instead of Rachele (106)
    * Steele and Hewett were thankfully excellent, otherwise it might have been thumb tacks and brussel sprouts for dinner for me tonight

    Bring on round 5, quickly!

Damn Cripps/Rowell/Xerri/Butters/Cogs let me down but brought in Brodie who lifted my spirits.

  4. 2342 / Macrae/ was 7k

Funny game, was looking at possible mid to high 2100s and some great Sunday scores out of nowhere saved the bacon.

had twelve tons, seven over 125. Macrae, Crisp, Witts, Neale, Daicos, Brodie and The Man of Steele.

Couple of Spuds (or Chieftains as FT called them) in Rowell, Oliver, Cogs, Butters, Hinge and my little experiment of Archie Perkins, who will now be placed in the Lab bin forthwith.

How good were the so called cows, Daicos, Brodie, Rachele (Who dumped him)?, JHF, Martin and Berry.

Traded out gawn to Witt’s so I could go Whitfield to Cripps. Had some regrets seeing gawn score 160 but wow, Witts scored 154 and around 250k cheaper. Only bad thing was trading in Cripps…

    1. I made the exact same trades too. Now I have to decide who to trade out Cripps next week.

      TU Boak?
      TD Steele?

  6. 2297/macrae/no rank yet but was 11k before this round

Overall a successful week especially with all the carnage. Oliver and butters hurt Thursday night but gawn eased that pain a little.

+3s for gawn, macrae, Dow (on debut for stephens), rachele and brodie.

-3s Oliver, butters, hinge (kills his cash gen) Ryan Ridley and Rowell.

Overall feeling pretty good, hinges injury will fast track my trade plans with him and Rowell might need to be upgraded soon. With only 1 trade used feel like I’ve set myself up pretty well.

All over the place. Happy not to have traded out Gawn. Commiserations for those that had the C on Cripps.

  8. 2301 / Macrae

I was one of the ones who had traded out Gawn and was quite angry at myself after seeing his score. Traded in Witts though so appeased today. Except that the money used in that trade was spent on Cripps, so less pleased now. And would have been happier to have Rachele not sitting on the bench.

    1. Great score this week Lisa, witts was huge for you and helped you reel me in and beat me in gun regulars.

  9. 2288/Macrae/33k (up 16k lol)

Understand it’s a good score for this round but a little disappointed as I could have pressed 2400 were it not for shockers from the three R’s in ROB, Ridley and Rowell. Didn’t start/jump on Cripps, so dodged a bullet there but Preuss’ potential suspension might cause some headaches.

Won most leagues but got taken by King Maximus’ 2341 in Gun’s Regulars #1. Hats off.

Thankfully no Cripps but have Butters and not too sure what to do with him.

Good – Crisp, Berry, Brodie, Daicos, Gawn

Yikes – Butters, Treloar, Xerri, Hinge

Made 600k this week up to $11.3m club value and sitting real pretty.

Well that’s more like it. 10/10 league wins and moved up 182 spots in SCT group.
Glad I didn’t get sucked in to Cripps.
Witts at R2 is also looking good atm.
Almost all of my duds this week were shared by everyone else, ie Oliver, Rowell, Butters, Cogs. Blakey, McCartin, Bowey and Xerri were also under par but not as damaging at their price.
    Onwards and upwards!

    1. 2180/Dunkley/13k (down 2.5k)

I definitely lost at rookie roulette this week with O’Driscoll, Rachele and Martin all warming the pine costing me ~150 pts to supress the score a little. Also stupidly took the C off Macrae, so a rough round. Thank god for Witts getting me some respectability.
Hopefully I can roll the dice correctly next week.

  13. 2238/Neale/11987

Having both Rachele and Martin on my forward bench was probably the only thing that really sucked for me this week. All the other low scores are highly owned and we all copped those. Grundy, Witts is looking like a better combo each week

  14. 1934/Cripps/don’t wanna look

It’s weeks like this that make me hate this game.
From VC Oliver, to Rachelle, Dixon & O’Driscoll on the bench far out scoring their on field counterparts, to the subbings of Hinge & Captain Cripps, and more guys going sub 80 than tonning up, not much went right this week.
Cheers to Crisp, Neale, Parish , Daicos & Brodie for the few bright spots.

  15. 2252 / Gawn / 4031
I had Captain Gawn early, then it was downhill from there. In a week when some people Captained Cripps, I won’t complain too much about my spuds

  16. 2351 for round four.
Was able to loophole Hayes to catch Macrae’s VC score.

Forwards are the big worry. Of the top 40 point scorers to date only 3 are forwards -Heeney, Dunkley and Taranto.
14 defenders in that mix .
Rucks have five(5) which include DPP players English and Jackson.

Finalise defenders first and pick bones of the forwards there after?

  17. Shocker of a week.

    2,092 / Miller / 3,402 (down 2,848)

Had the VC on Macrae, but too risky to loop due to the uncertainty of Hayes not playing/playing. Meant Rachele and Dixon were left warming the pine.

Just fortunate that I chose Miller instead of Cripps. Or it could of been worse..

    Stinkers were
    Def: Hinge, McCartin, Bowey, Ryan
    Mid: Rowell and Cripps
    Fwd: Butters, Cogs, Xerri

Last week went early on Skinner instead of O’Driscoll, which hurts now.

    Where to from here?

No headaches to deal with this week. Dumb luck!

  20. Something really weird is happening

    My round 1 score = 2239
    My round 2 score = 2239
    My round 4 score = 2239

With the exact same team each week (only made 1 trade in week 3: Mead to Stephens)

  21. 2366 / Steele / 138 overall

Had the VC on Macrae but no loophole option. Just as well Steele went OK. Wasn’t expecting Macrae or Neale to go as well as they did.
Dodged the Cripps bullet since I don’t have him, but missed out on O’Driscoll down back.
Stung by Hinge, Butters, Xerri & to some extent McCartin.
    14 centurions on field.
No trades this week unless all 3 of Whitfield, Hinge & McCartin miss.

  22. 1,996/Oliver/Down 25,243 to 38,101

Oliver (c) Ridley, Bowey, Cripps. Rowell, Butters, Coniglio, Xerri.

Was planning to just hold Cripps, but more likely to trade him to Hewett on further thought. Not actually unhappy with the team overall, but what a round.

Worst part of this is when I go under 2,000 I have the let my Imaginary Interlocutor and the Hamster write Cow Talk…..

Bowey, Hinge, Oliver, Butters. Rachele on the pine. Pretty happy everywhere else. Seemed to have escaped injuries/suspensions so unlikely to trade again for one more week.

  25. Tough week full of headaches. Glad I was working and didn’t get to watch much of the horror show.
2049 for me, dropping 11.5k in rank.
Oliver. Butters, Bowey, Ridley, Rowell, Cogs and Xerri some underperformers for me and with the injuries to Cripps and Hinge. Missed some big scores of Gawn, Witts, Bont, Sinclair, Brodie, Heeney, Crisp so it’s going to be very interesting how I approach this week.

  26. 2284/ Gawn/ 105 overall

TU: Started Gawn and Pruess with ENGLISH in forward line. Worked well so far.

TD: Cripps injury decision going to be crucial going forward.

  27. 1988 – VC: Oliver. C: Cripps….

Stewart a late out. Danger, Butters, Rowell, Xerri stinking it up.

    Carnage is an understatement.

  28. 2034/Cripps/21,885 (down 16,283)

Horror show continued after Oliver, Butters and Bowey on Thursday night.

Was sitting on 600pts from 8 players after Friday night but still a chance for 2,200 then Patrick Cripple shows his true colours as my Captain – well done mate, well done

Lots of worries this week, Preuss banned, Cripps injured, Bowey and Butters with high BEs – 28 trades and 300k in the bank, aggressive trading coming up for the Ninjas methinks.

Copped most of the carnage everyone copped with the popular players scoring not so well this week. I also seemed to have broken Xerri by trading him in this week :s

    Macrae
    Steele
    Daicos
    Berry
    Neale
    Daicos
    Rachele (Benched)
