  1. GWS not even mentioning Preuss’s ankle ???

Even though he is suspended for 1 week to give his ankle time to recover, they must be super confident his ankle will be right to go for round 16

He went down badly on it on the weekend though – which does make me wonder a bit.

  2. For any Zorko owners like myself.

Lions coach Chris Fagan confirmed Zorko’s omission for this week, stressing the veteran’s need for further recovery before returning.

“He was close, but I think it’s best to give him a rest, take the opportunity of the bye plus another week,” Fagan told media on Wednesday morning.

“Yesterday at training, the running he was doing, I thought he was moving as well as I’ve seen him move. I was pretty buoyed by that.

“It may not hurt him just to have this little break and then launch for the last eight games of the season.

“That’s what I’m hoping for, and on the evidence I saw yesterday, I think that could well be the case.”

    1. Scans have confirmed Butters suffered a grade 2 strain to the medial ligament of the left knee.

It is a repeat of last season when Butters strained the medial ligament of his right knee in round 17. Butters missed just one AFL game with that knee strain last year.

“It feels pretty much the same as last year, although the first few days it is always pretty sore,” Butters said of the injury. “Once you get on the training bike and get moving again, you’ll know pretty quickly how it feels.”
“It’s just a grade two medial, pretty much the same as I did on the other leg last year. I missed one week with it last year. Hopefully if I get a similar result, I’ll be pretty happy.”

      1. BTW
Do you have a link for the 4-5 weeks as I have not heard any thing like that kind of timeframe?
        Cheers
