Adelaide: 

Rory Laird (broken hand) Is expected to train fully on Tuesday night and be available for selection.

Rory Sloane (adductor soreness) “The scan showed a minor adductor issue, we will give him every chance to get up and we expect him to train on Thursday and then it will be how well he feels whether he plays on Friday night.” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess

Andrew McPherson (hamstring) is expected to return next week. “Andrew McPherson will probably miss this week’s game by about three or four days, his hamstring is coming along really well but it’s probably just a little bit short for him to play this Friday night,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess.

Paul Seedsman (concussion) ongoing

Brisbane : 

Keidean Coleman (Hamstring) 3-4 weeks. Taking part in skill work. Chris Fagan said he was “ahead of schedule” in his return, but would give no specifics other than to say he wouldn’t be rushed.

 Eric Hipwood (knee)  6 weeks

Carlton:

Oscar McDonald (back)  experienced a back spasm during Thursday night’s game, he will miss Round 3 and will be further assessed next week.

Jack Martin (AFL Health and Safety Protocols) and Adam Cerra (AFL Health and Safety Protocols) Expected to play round 3.

Sam Philp (ribs) will be a test to play this weekend. He will complete his training program throughout the week: his availability is to be confirmed on Friday.

Jack Carroll (knee) his most likely to miss this weekend with knee soreness: at this stage, he is expected to return the following week.

Liam Stocker (ankle) has completed his reconditioning block and will be available to play in the VFL on Sunday.

David Cuningham (knee) Currently in a performance conditioning block prior to his return to skills training. When he has completed the required workload over the coming month, he will look to integrate back into the skills program.

Ed Curnow (knee) Sustained a medial ligament injury from a tackle in the VFL practice match. No surgery is required, but he is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks.

Josh Honey (knee) Has returned to full training and is progressing well. He needs a solid training block over the next three weeks, with his availability to play to be assessed after that.

Caleb Marchbank (knee) Has returned to the skills program: needs a good block of skills conditioning before his return to play. That training block will be his focus for the next month, with his timeline to return to play to be assessed after that.

Collingwood:

Taylor Adams ( migraine) finished Saturday’s game on the bench with a migraine but trained fully on Tuesday and will be fine for round 3.

Beau McCreery (hip soreness) Scans revealed a hip flexor tear that should rule him out for at least three weeks.

Nathan Kreuger (shoulder) Subluxation from Saturday’s game will result in 4- 6 weeks of recovery.

Isaac Chugg ( Abdominals) to be decided.

Nathan Murphy (ankle) 4-8 weeks

 Jordan Roughead (shoulder) 2-4 weeks

Essendon:

 Zach Merrett (sydesmosis) “We will look at surgery as an option for Zach but it is likely he will miss around six to eight weeks. Josh Mahoney

Nik Cox (ankle)  “Nik’s injury isn’t as severe so we will assess his recovery this week and give him the best chance to get up for our match against Melbourne.” Josh Mahoney

Dylan Shiel (side strain) “Not a long term thing. He’ll have to get through training and we’ll go from there.” Ben Rutten

head of HP Sean Murphy: “Hopefully Shiel can get through training tomorrow, and we’ll see what his availability is for Friday night.”

Nik Martin (Health and Safety Protocols) Likely available Rd 3. head of HP Sean Murphy: “(Martin) hasn’t missed a beat, he’ll come back to training on wednesday and put his name up for selection on friday.”

Zach Reid (foot) VFL return this week with limited time.

Will Snelling (calf) increasing workloads.

Harris Jones (calf) increasing workloads.

Luke Davies Uniacke (concussion) “He’s in the 12 day protocols so unfortunately he’ll miss this weekend,””His symptoms have been pretty good since the weekend, so unless there are any hiccups we expect he’ll play Round 4 against the Swans

Tarryn Thomas (ribs) Out for 4-8 weeks with internal bruising but no broken ribs.

Will Phillips (glandular fever) Recovering well and able to increase his training loads this week as he prepares for a return ASAP. “At the moment he’s feeling good so we’ll increase his loads this week and be guided by how he’s feeling. Trent McKenzie (ankle) Sprained ankle but scans cleared any serious injury and will be assessed later in the week in an effort to be cleared to face Adelaide on Friday night.

Robbie Gray (knee) and Charlie Dixon (ankle) Fitness tests.

Taj Schofield (hamstring tightness) has been cleared of injury and is expected to be available this week. Most likely SANFL.

Aliir Aliir – ankle (4-5 weeks)

Josh Kennedy has cleared the AFL’s Health and Safety Protocols and was back training with the team on Tuesday at Mineral Resources Park ahead of his likely return on Sunday.

Western Bulldogs:

Bailey Smith (hip) – “Bailey reported some hip soreness following the main training session and didn’t play on the weekend. Those symptoms are fully settled, and he trained today without any issue.” Chris Bell, Head of Sports Medicine.

Aaron Naughton (calf) sustained a calf cork in a marking contest against Carlton. Naughton suffered some bleeding in the calf and a decision on his availability will be made in the next 24 hours.

Hayden Crozier (fainting) 

“Just after the half time break when the players were due to run out on the weekend, Hayden Crozier had a fainting episode,”

“This is very unusual for Hayden. We are working through a series of tests to exclude any serious contributing factors.”

“Once we get those test results this week, we will determine his availability to play.”
