  1. Should I risk buying a ticket to get to the gabba to watch bombers no 17 ?? I’m more worried about travel bans than bombers not making it.

    T/U Yes
    T/D No

  2. Any news on some first gamers playing this week?
Would rather trade in a first gamer than go with Dow or Williams as I can’t see them lasting too long. Dow may not even get selected this week.

    1. Only one I like is Fullarton from Lions but they are last game so won’t know if he is named until probably too late

  3. 4 trades left, should I rage trade Brodie Smith to Houli (leaves me with just Riccardi to upgrade at F6)

    1. Well Brodie got the 100 and this poll was very interesting. Ended up getting Bachar in so fingers crossed he goes better tonight!

        1. That’s SC for you, only one week and a 25 point difference, expecting him to come good just in time for finals!

  4. I have a conundrum : If you could only have one (won’t have the bank for both) – who would it be?

TU: Gawn (currently running with Goldy, Grundy & Draper)
TD: Lloyd (currently running with Noble at D6)

I’m throwing up between trading out Goldy & Draper, flicking Comben from Fwd bench back to R3, to trade in Gawn next week. OR to live without Gawn, Noble out for Lloyd next week.

I could also just get Gawn and a cheaper defender in Saad/Haynes instead of Lloyd, so need to decide which way I am happier to go, when I really do just want them both. Would appreciate the votes – which would you rather?

    1. Goldy still the sixth best overall points scorer and could easily average 110 over the last three games. Would definitely go Lloyd and hold Goldy.

  5. 5 trades left. I need a downgrade target this week to afford my planned R16 trades. Will be trading out either Aarts or Close this round.

TU-Trade in Riccardi – more expensive but the best option due to not many other cheaper options & worried about if there will be any new rookies named this week or next

TD – Not Riccardi, save the $ and go maybe T Dow for $117,300, or any others to consider – traded in Mosquito last round.

  6. VC on Merrett (125). Captain options are:
    Dusty v Freo
    Oliver/May v Swans
    Lloyd v Melb
    Whitfield v Carl
    Neale v Coll
    Grundy v Bris

    T/U – Merrett’s 125
    T/D – Roll the dice

  7. Left field question on LOEC rules.
Does the league winner (in my case LOEC3) get automatic entry into LOEC next year regardless of overall rank?
It’s a selfish question because I’m currently lagging at mid 6k overall and 1166th last year was only good enough for LOEC3. Answer could influence my trades over next few rounds

  8. Boy, oh boy has my POD pick of Shuey really stuffed me up. 4 trades left after going sideways from Jelly to Merrett and $2k in the bank.
I think I have to make some cash generating moves to be able to replace him and still try to upgrade my last upgrade of M8 or F6 (thanks DPP). I still have Rankine and think he just has to stay F6 at this point because of his potential to go big. So…

T/U – Close to Dow (102k donut), 3 trades left, $118k ($136k) in the bank.

T/D – Same as above AND Bont to Andy Brayshaw. $257k in the bank, extra premium on field this week towards overall.

In both scenarios I think I end up only replacing Shuey next week, fielding Rankine for at least one more week with his low BE and save the last trade or two for the last few rounds.

Any input would be much appreciated. Good luck coaches!

  9. TU:
    Duncan-Riccardi
    Xerri-Gawn
    4 trades left
    M8 & F6 left to fill

    TD:
    Duncan-JPK
    Close-Walters
    4 trades left
    R2 left to fill

  10. I may have stuffed up here guys. I put the E on Schoenberg expecting him to fill the spot of one of my premo players on the bye.

Will his score count at the end of the round, or did I need to have him on the field?

  11. Sorry re-post from Trade Talk:

Which combo scores more to close out the year
    T/U – Bont, JPK & Greene
    T/D – Duncan, Taranto & Brayshaw (Freo)

    1. CC I reckon this round of all rounds is the perfect time to get ultra spicy with your C pick.

I VC’ed Titch too but I’m going to wager on Whitfield Gawn or Lloyd to go much bigger than 120

  12. Looking at injecting some cash to upgrade my D6 in the coming week and potentially get Neale back into the team.

Is it worth going Rankine -> Riccardi to free up about $164k?

  13. Only fielding 17 although doubts on Cripps..in prelim so trades will just help rank this round..

    Is it worth going:

    Goldy / JKelly to

    Gawn / Houli

Leaves 3 trades for 2 upgrades for prelim .. one of which is Riccardi who may be a keeper

  14. Any sub $460k defenders worth a look in? I can sacrifice Bont to do a triple upgrade this week for fallen premos:

T/U – Duncan, Baz Smith, Hill to JPK, Greene, Haynes ($80k left)
T/D – Bont, Close, Hill to JPK, Greene, Dawson ($2k left)

    2

  15. What’s everyone’s thoughts on Jack Martin? Priced at only $418k
Plays Adelaide in the SC prelim final, and then Brisbane in the last round who have been coughing up a number of SC points to the opposition lately…

    Tu; Great Idea

    Td; Look elsewhere

  16. Have Rd 15 and 16 off (straight to prelim)

Full premo except for Riccardi in F6
    Possible trade bait:
    Woodcock & Close (F7/8)
    Watson/Ling (D7/8)
    Wicks/Rivers (M9/10)

Already traded Duncan to Gaff last night
8 trades left and $155K banked
    TU:
    Jelly to Cogs
Watson to $102K Rookie (send Rivers back to D7)
    (20 on field & $282K)

    TD:
    Keep Kelly
double downgrade – Woodcock & Ling OUT Dow & $102K Rookie
    (19 on field & $321K)

    Cheers community

  17. 8 trades left, league only and coming from 8th in me cash league

    R15 – Bell/Viney to Dow/McCrae (I know he has a bye but need him R16)
    R16 – Tay Adams/Grundy/Draper to Gawn/Neale/Rookie Def (Williams DPP to R3)
    R17 – Lycett to Grundy

And of course they’ll be no issues with injuries!

  19. Ok coaches with Tigs and Pies out next week and it being prelims for H2H im thinking of trading out Grundy or Maynard (miss the boat with Martin) this week amd the other 2 next week obviously sideways trades but my question is, is Nic Nat the only viable trade for Grundy??? Another viable pick would be great what yous think? Can only afford Lukosius for Maynard at this stage.
    Thanks guys

  20. Feeling a bit screwed here but would appreciate the advice.

I traded out Neale last week in hopes of going up the overall rankings. I have 4 trades left, and still need to slot in 1 more Forward premium with only 20k in cash.

Do I do the unthinkable 2 weeks in a row and trade out Macrae? If so….

TU – Get Neale back in (leaves me no cash and only 3 trades left )
TD – Get in a Parker/Josh Kennedy (Cash plus chance to upgrade a rookie to Greenwood/R Gray next week)

  21. Which is the better option?

    This Rnd:

    JKelly/ Goldstein->

    JPK/ Gawn

Or wait till next rnd and go

    JKelly or Duncan/ Grundy ->

    Gaff/ Gawn

Means only 17 this week but mainly worried about prelim and Grundy has the bye..

    TD Haynes and JPK

  23. Guys Greenwood named for Collingwood. Something rattling deep at the back of my skull tells me he is a tagger. Trouble for Neale?

    TU: Back Neale in
TD: Greenwood bad news, whack the C on Grundy instead

I have a clear memory, albeit ages ago, of him playing that roll.

The very reason I played it safe= Cpt Lloyd

100,000 k fine for the club
hitting a strip club & food shop like its a normal day
how stupid & selfish are human beings

  25. Re – Chanel 10 news melbourne
Nic Nat might be rested R16 due to the bulldogs poor hit out numbers
WC coach didnt deny it , but said ( not verbatim ) he believes it’s better to rest a player V a weaker opposition rather than dealing with an inevitable injury
