    1. In general, its a hold week for me Jeff, but if you’re set on something or have an injury somewhere, go ahead.

When I say hold, I’m talking about those underperforming premiums (Steele, Ridley etc)

    2. Get a little tired of people half way through the year losing interest or saying they haven’t got enough trades.
      Remember some important rules-
don’t trade premiums- they come back to hurt you so many times.
Trade wisely and for value- seasons long and Covid will run amok!
      Good luck all!

  1. Howdy, have played for a dozen years with my best finish being 50 overall in 2016. Big time follower of this sight though! Great read! Thankyou to all!
But alas I still fall for temptation of getting Dusty every year! Thought this year could be different somehow but there always seems to be some issue with this pick.
It is a concern that he is out for”personal” reasons – this could be a weekend scenario or a 10 weeker, don’t know!
So after consideration, I think I will bring in Tim English. With Stefan not picked in the best 22 this is encouraging as an English owner.
Should I wait it out for Dusty or use a correctional trade? I don’t want to get too far behind the eight ball!!!

    Thumbs up – trade
    Thumbs down – keep

    Thanks!

    1. Hey Dan, definitely think dusty is a trade as we have no idea how long and is too much cash to sit on a premo who won’t play.

I know english did well last week but not sure id want to lock him in as a keeper. R/F is handy but i think there is better options out there.

Dunkley is a must if you dont have but for people around that price you could look at Duncan back from injury, Heeney (if youre brave), Butters, Taranto or even De goey.

      1. Thankyou for your reply – I must admit I was tossing up over whether to get Heeney, bit too scary I reckon! Haha!
And I really like Taranto but am just short in cash! Got a big call to make before tonight’s game! You’ve given me something to think about! Thanks again!

        1. Heeney is a known burn man but maybe this year is his year. Whats your budget and whats your fwd line look like currently?

  2. First donut looking with McInerny out

    T/U Sinn
    T/D Hewett

Leaning to Sinn as most won’t get a chance to grab him, as downgrade options will be slim when he’s on the bubble

    1. Nah, wouldn’t worry.

Extended bench, only 4 pm in Perth, just naming a squad.

Will be finalized by 5 pm tmmrw.

  3. Based on role would you sideways Crisp to Sicily bank that coin.
Then upgrade J Berry due to one knock of that shoulder and his done. to L Mcdonald (Nth) in hope by round 6 he becomes a Def/Mid swing possibly keeper for 372k?

    So Crispy and J Berry
    to Sicily and L Mcdonald

Thoughts? i don’t really wanna wait a week because i wanna jump on P.Cripps next week…

  4. Do I need to plan to bring in Hewett and Cripps next week?

    It would be:
    one of Berry/Ward/Stephens > Cripps
    one of Ryan/Crisp > Hewett

    With Ward/Crisp I am $20k short

TU: Trade this week (currently zero trades planned)
TD: Thats next weeks problem, use the boost

  5. Is there a chance that the Eagles game gets postponed? If so do you revert to best 18 for the round?

    1

    3
    1. The AFL has stated that their intention was that no games will be postponed during the 2022 season.
That is why the initiated that every teams has named a list of top up players that will be available in case of covid affecting teams.

West coast has already named two top up players to their team for round 2.
If, as expected more players become unavailable West Coast will add more from their list to have a full squad.

It would be absolutely last resort to postpone a game.

  6. H Dixon to Hayes? A bit sideways I know, but Dixon going into H&S protocols has me thinking I should jump train sooner.

  7. If you knew the prices would go up after this round, who would you trade in?

    TU: Sam Skinner
    TD: Josh Sinn

FYI – this is the scenario in my fantasy team lol

    1. Both excellent options, Kennedy.

MID roles, huge ceilings, lotta upside.

See if the byes help you decide. Butters R12, Heeney R13.

  8. So I need to trade someone out to bring in an actual ruck (Witts) after loopholing Hayes on field last and was planning on trading out Ward to do it. Now I’m thinking of trading out Berry cause I then have the cash to do McGovern to either Cripps or Heeney next week.

TU: stick with the original plan of Ward out
TD: cut Berry to bring in one of the guns so far

  9. Don’t have Hewett, Cripps or Rowell.

T/U Trade this week to make sure that I can get them all in before R3

T/D Hold this week and bring in 2 of 3 next week

    1. had him last year after his calf injury, was solid for 100 every week but trailed off towards the end of the year (old legs)
i believe he is on level 4 of frogger, so beware

  10. If a player is medical sub but doesn’t get used is it considered did not play and you get the Emergency score?

E on Stephens thinking Soligo wasn’t playing so will risk getting his score….

  11. First clanger of the year…hadn’t finalised my team prior to all the family dropping around for a BBQ last night. Grandchildren, 4 under 3 years of age running rampant.

Had McCartin on the pine with Worner as the loop but hadn’t put the “E” on Paddy….ok, excuses aside…what to do?

I’m currently light on in Defence as I have DeKoning (Inj) and Worner (loop) …..considering trading Worner for Sam Skinner particularly with Allir and Clurey out for a month or so.

TU: Go for it….Skinner will get the gig for that period
TD: Save the trade and spend your $$$ elsewhere

  12. Took the risk on preuss at r2 with darcy out last week. Didn’t work.

    TU
Trade Preuss to Xerri. Could have a big week and make some $$$ , Ruc/Fwd after round 6

    TD
Hold and see how it plays out with preuss.

  13. Got Dusty and a donut with N Martin and Dixon on the pine. Thinking Dusty to Gresham today, allowing one of Ward, Daicos, JHF to Crippa next week…thinking Ward. Takes two trades over two weeks…before the SC gods step in of course. This also shows the value of high priced rookies.

    T/u Good idea
T/d Unless going for OA, hold any trades.
