    • At their best, easily. On current form, probably 50 points short.

But they’ll be back to the top tier of scoring sooner rather than later so fingers crossed it’s this week!

Unfortunately I had to use my first booooooster but when your’re averaging 2,318 you have to keep the momentum going or it’s good bye Charlie 🙂

  2. TU – Whitfield, Chapman and Owens –> Hewitt, Bowey and Brodie
TD – Whitfield and Mcgovern –> Hewitt and Brodie

Thoughts community, would probably rather hold mcgovern than chapman but would also rather get brodie in over bowey.

Other option is could go Hinge over Bowey as i didnt start Hinge.

  3. Head scratcher. I have all the rookies I’d like & only have $35k left before trades

TU – Whitfield & Chapman > Hewett & Bowey (miss out on Cripps & Heeney)
    TD – Whitfield, Gawn & M.Owens > Hewett, L.Jacobsen & Cripps (Chapman D4)

  4. Whitfield’s ownership has already dropped from 51% to 35%, I’m assuming many hold their trades until they know teams too so may drop to 25%. Not really a query but I’m excited to hold him as a form of POD.

  5. TU:
    Gawn – English
    Berry – Cripps
    Ward – D.Stephens

    TD:
    Gawn – Witts
    Berry – Cripps
    Owens – D.Stephens

Honestly would love to only do 1x trade with Owens to D.Stephens but unfortunately I have no money.

  6. Gov > Xerri
    Steele > Cripps
    Chapman > Hall

Yes I know I don’t love the idea of chopping Steele, however it saves me roughly 230k which enables me to bring in hall. I am not taking a risk down back and trading Chapman sideways! Hope that makes sense…

  7. Do we trust Luke Beverage to keep English in the ruck when he’s got a fairly decent ruckman as an Emergency and Cordy at CHF?

TU – English stays in ruck

  9. Why is everyone trading out Berry?

He is performing nearly as expected, he is averaging 70 with an injury affected game, I was hoping for 80-95 which he would have achieved without that injury.

TU – performing less than expected
TD – unlucky one to be cut for cash elsewhere

  10. Quick double check – Xerri has a -77 BE. Am I correct in assuming that if he scores 100, his price will rise about $90K??? – so he will be roughly $300K next week … or is the calculation higher than 50% – closer to 70% or something? ??
    Thanks for thoughts …

      • Thanks CT – so its about 50% … ie -77 +100 = 177 / 2 = roughly $90K … maybe a bit less? ….

Hmmmmm is it better to grab points (eg Hewett / Cripps) in the hope that they are keepers (and value at low $) … or better to grab a Xerri at a lower price point before that first big rise????

Maybe we should have polled this???

TU: Whitfield, Berry, McGovern –> Petracca, Cripps, 102k non playing def DPP rookie (will be my only non-playing rookie)

  12. Would love some advice on potential moves

TU: Whitfield, Chapman, Baldwin -> Hewett, Bowey, Xerri

TD: Whitfield, Chapman, Berry -> Hewett, Gibcus, Cripps

I realise Gibcus isn’t ideal but wondering if Cripps warrants it.

    Thanks!

Cheaper, Better role and his coach just said some nice things about him that seem to suggest job security

    Have Preuss as R3 (Grundy/Witts as R1/R2)

Thinking of trading Preuss to Jackson(Fwd) whilst moving Hayes through DPP to R3

    Thumbs up – do it
    Thumbs down – save it

  15. Not much wrong with my team but I am afraid of not having Cripps.
Half scared that Hewett scores > Whitfield.
    However trades……valuable trades.
Is my team significantly enhanced by doing any of the following trades?

    -Whitfield,Berry, Ward
    +Cripps, Hewett, N Long

    -Whitfield, Berry, Ward
+ Cripps, Bowey, Xerri (via dpp)

    -Whitfield, Berry
    +Cripps, Bowey

TU – Yes – one of those trades is worth it
TD – Team is not enhanced enough to use trades

    Gawn, Witts (Dixon)

    Dunkley, Treloar, Butters, Cogs,

    Any thoughts on a trade?
I’ve resisted sideways trading Gawn and Whitfield so far.
TU Berry, Owens to Jackson, JHF/Xerri
TD Whitfield, Berry to Bowey, Brayshaw
Not really sure on what Bowey or Jackson will average. Is Jackson a potential top 10 forward. Too many options

    • I think you have a very good team.
Berry and Whitfield are under performing.
Its very sideways but I think Caldwell is a better option than Berry now that Merrett is on the sidelines for an extended period.
I’ve been burnt with GWS players previously (Kelly, Whitfield, Green) and the coach does some strange things. I’ve only got Coniglio because of his fwd status and his price.
Nice to move Whitfield on and get to Aaron Hall or Lloyd if you have the cash.
      Good luck

  25. Thinking about using a trade boost going Owens to Hinge just for money generation. Would mean Rachele into mid (and can replace Ward on field) De koning fwd (replaced by N. Martin) and Hinge on bench (or switch with chapman)

Would allow more dpp swing between the lines for future also. Hope that makes sense!

    TU – Worth it
TD – Waste of a trade and a boost and leaving you with less cash in the bank.

  33. Looks like set forget captain ruck strategy is dead. Which is great for uniqueness in teams.
Next year is all about the value. It’s been creeping in, but now I think it’s locked in as the way forward in coming seasons.
Sticking with grawndy this year till full premo.
Have 3 value rucks on the line cheaper than the big 2-3 combined is what I’ll be doing most likely from this point on.
