Will Gawn and steel combine for 260 without captain?
At their best, easily. On current form, probably 50 points short.
But they’ll be back to the top tier of scoring sooner rather than later so fingers crossed it’s this week!
Whitfield, Owens & McGovern OUT
Bowey, Cripps & Xerri IN
I would take a guesstimate they’d score @180 based on average..
Personally ditching Steele, so in that case he will go 260 alone now!
Yoo that is what i did too! Praying it pays off!!!
I believe I nailed it, you’ll be the judge 😉
Outs: Dusty to Nic Martin
Ward to Cripps
Chapman to Hewitt ($115,800 in the bank)
I like it Steve! Looking at something very similar this week myself, although not with the leftover $$$.
Cheers Dane
Unfortunately I had to use my first booooooster but when your’re averaging 2,318 you have to keep the momentum going or it’s good bye Charlie 🙂
Supercoachtalk is full of ads so many.
I’m not a technological person at all, but I get none(mobile and PC) . So there must be a way to block them.
Use Brave browser. Added benefit is they give you a little bit of cryptocurrency for using it as well.
TU – Whitfield and Soligo out for Hewett and Xerri in
TD – Keep as is
TU – Ward and gibcus to Xerri and Bowey
TD – Hough to xerri and hold Ward and Gibcus
TU:
Out: Whitfield and Berry
In: Bowey and Cripps
Remaining Cash: $104K
TD:
Out: Whitfield
In: Hewitt
Remaining Cash: $157K
TU – Whitfield, Chapman and Owens –> Hewitt, Bowey and Brodie
TD – Whitfield and Mcgovern –> Hewitt and Brodie
Thoughts community, would probably rather hold mcgovern than chapman but would also rather get brodie in over bowey.
Other option is could go Hinge over Bowey as i didnt start Hinge.
Head scratcher. I have all the rookies I’d like & only have $35k left before trades
TU – Whitfield & Chapman > Hewett & Bowey (miss out on Cripps & Heeney)
TD – Whitfield, Gawn & M.Owens > Hewett, L.Jacobsen & Cripps (Chapman D4)
Whitfield’s ownership has already dropped from 51% to 35%, I’m assuming many hold their trades until they know teams too so may drop to 25%. Not really a query but I’m excited to hold him as a form of POD.
Agree. So many posts are trading Whitfield. He is already cheap and should bounce back. Hold fire I think.
I would have held him but need his cash for Cripps.
Concerned about chatter that Whitfield carrying an injury. GWS have terrible record with respect to transparency. He looked like he couldn’t run last week.
TU:
Gawn – English
Berry – Cripps
Ward – D.Stephens
TD:
Gawn – Witts
Berry – Cripps
Owens – D.Stephens
Honestly would love to only do 1x trade with Owens to D.Stephens but unfortunately I have no money.
Gov > Xerri
Steele > Cripps
Chapman > Hall
Yes I know I don’t love the idea of chopping Steele, however it saves me roughly 230k which enables me to bring in hall. I am not taking a risk down back and trading Chapman sideways! Hope that makes sense…
Bowey worth the hype? One good game and everyone goes nuts. Could be wrong but not risking a trade.
Internal hype at Dees has been there all summer
Do we trust Luke Beverage to keep English in the ruck when he’s got a fairly decent ruckman as an Emergency and Cordy at CHF?
TU – English stays in ruck
TD – Don’t trust Beverage
Been stuck on this all week
TU – Gawn/Whitfield/Berry to English/Hewett/Cripps
TD – Steele/Whitfield/Berry to Boak/Hewett/Cripps
Why is everyone trading out Berry?
He is performing nearly as expected, he is averaging 70 with an injury affected game, I was hoping for 80-95 which he would have achieved without that injury.
TU – performing less than expected
TD – unlucky one to be cut for cash elsewhere
hough or dixon to xerri
up for hough
down for dixon
Steele to Cripps
TU – Yes
TD – Keep the faith in Steele
Also trading:
Whitfield to Hewett
Tarrant to Heeney
Piggy backing comments made in Table for 2.
T/U McGovern
T/D Xerri.
If I have the cash do I get in Hall for Whitfield?
TU – Yes
TD – Find a cheaper options
Whitfield to:
TU: Hewett (Cash itb and cash growth)
TD: Hall (Proven premium and no bank left)
Quick double check – Xerri has a -77 BE. Am I correct in assuming that if he scores 100, his price will rise about $90K??? – so he will be roughly $300K next week … or is the calculation higher than 50% – closer to 70% or something? ??
Thanks for thoughts …
Tristan Xerri
Approximate Price Projection
Start Price $208k
2021 Ave 38 (8 games)
2022 Scores 79/120
Rd2 Score 120
Rd3 BE -77
Projected Score 85
Rd3:->$281k($73k) New BE -40
Rd4:->$336k($55k) New BE 28
Rd5:->$361k($25k) New BE 44
Rd6:->$379k($18k) New BE 55
Rd7:->$393k($13k) New BE 64
Thanks CT – so its about 50% … ie -77 +100 = 177 / 2 = roughly $90K … maybe a bit less? ….
Hmmmmm is it better to grab points (eg Hewett / Cripps) in the hope that they are keepers (and value at low $) … or better to grab a Xerri at a lower price point before that first big rise????
Maybe we should have polled this???
I’m bringing in all 3 this week.
Chapman, Ward, Merrett Out.
Gawn + Owens out
Cripps and Xerri in
Hayes R2.
264k in the bank as an emergency R2 fund.
Yes or no?
TU: berry to Cripps
$120k bank remain
TD: ward to Cripps
$30k bank remain
Is Durdin to Rachele worth a trade?
Tu: yes rachele is a good cow $$$
Td: waste of a trade
Bit of a risk, could go safer but:
TU: Whitfield, Berry, McGovern –> Petracca, Cripps, 102k non playing def DPP rookie (will be my only non-playing rookie)
TD: Whitfield, Berry, McGovern –> Brayshaw, Cripps, Skinner
Would love some advice on potential moves
TU: Whitfield, Chapman, Baldwin -> Hewett, Bowey, Xerri
TD: Whitfield, Chapman, Berry -> Hewett, Gibcus, Cripps
I realise Gibcus isn’t ideal but wondering if Cripps warrants it.
Thanks!
Go Wanganeen Mileria over Gibcus.
Cheaper, Better role and his coach just said some nice things about him that seem to suggest job security
Gawn > English ?
Would love some advice as follows:
Have Preuss as R3 (Grundy/Witts as R1/R2)
Thinking of trading Preuss to Jackson(Fwd) whilst moving Hayes through DPP to R3
Thumbs up – do it
Thumbs down – save it
Is Whitfield to Cripps worth a trade?
TU trade Ward to Rachele
TD save the trade
like to like, waste of a trade
TU:
Whitfield > Bowey
Berry > Cripps
McGovern > Xerri
(Bowey D5, Hinge/McCartin D6)
TD:
Whitfield > Skinner
Berry > Cripps
McGovern > Heeney
(Hinge D5, McCartin D6)
Soligo to Stephens worth a trade?
Not much wrong with my team but I am afraid of not having Cripps.
Half scared that Hewett scores > Whitfield.
However trades……valuable trades.
Is my team significantly enhanced by doing any of the following trades?
-Whitfield,Berry, Ward
+Cripps, Hewett, N Long
-Whitfield, Berry, Ward
+ Cripps, Bowey, Xerri (via dpp)
-Whitfield, Berry
+Cripps, Bowey
TU – Yes – one of those trades is worth it
TD – Team is not enhanced enough to use trades
Must get Xerri in
With so many trading Steele Gawn and Whitfield I’m holding-great pod!
Just fixing rookies this week
Who to field out of gibcus and de koning
TU: Gibcus
Or
TD: De koning
Trading out one of these – which one :
TU: Trade out WARD
TD: Trade out BERRY
TU – Davies
Td – naish (WC)
Who would you prefer…
T/U – Whitfield + Witts
T/D – Gawn + Bowey
Get clicking legends

Macrae, Neale, Cripps, Rowell, Lipinski,
Berry, Daicos, Owens, ( Ward, McDonald, Stephens)
Gawn, Witts (Dixon)
Dunkley, Treloar, Butters, Cogs,
Brodie, Martin( Hayes, Durdin)
Any thoughts on a trade?
I’ve resisted sideways trading Gawn and Whitfield so far.
TU Berry, Owens to Jackson, JHF/Xerri
TD Whitfield, Berry to Bowey, Brayshaw
Not really sure on what Bowey or Jackson will average. Is Jackson a potential top 10 forward. Too many options
Just to add I’ve already used 1 trade on Gov to Stephens
Owens to JHF
Whitfield to Hall/Lloyd
I think you have a very good team.
Berry and Whitfield are under performing.
Its very sideways but I think Caldwell is a better option than Berry now that Merrett is on the sidelines for an extended period.
I’ve been burnt with GWS players previously (Kelly, Whitfield, Green) and the coach does some strange things. I’ve only got Coniglio because of his fwd status and his price.
Nice to move Whitfield on and get to Aaron Hall or Lloyd if you have the cash.
Good luck
I have cash to go from Baldwin to Xerri. Is it worth paying 90k to go to Xerri? Thinking Xerri needs to make 400k to make that worthwhile…
T/U yes
T/D no
TU: Whitfield -> Hewitt
TD: Chapman -> Hewitt
Whitfield higher potential but will likely lose cash
Chapman lower scoring but will likely make cash
First league game is 50/50
Help!
Only have 4k ITB
Give me a thumbs up/down for these trades
gawn > witts
Berry > cripps
mitch owens > Horne-francis
5k left after doing these trades
Tough one coaches
T/U Whitfield > Hewett
Berry > Cripps
T/D Chapman > Hewett
(64k Bank)
What trade is more important?
Going to keep Whitfield hoping
he will turn it around.
Tu:Chapman(D4)> Hewitt.( 1 trade)
Td: Baldwin > N Martin
Berry( M6) > Cripps. (2 trades)
What is more important?
Going to keep Whitfield hoping
he will turn it around.
Tu:Chapman(D4)> Hewitt.( 1 trade)
Td: Baldwin > N Martin
Berry( M6) > Cripps. (2 trades)
Opinions please:
TU: Whitfield & H Dixon > Hewett & Xerri
or
TD: as above PLUS Berry > Bowey (via Hewett DPP)
Had Cripps & Martin from the start
Many thanks
Already done McGov to Xerri:
T/U Hold Trades
T/D – Whitfield & Durdin to Bowey & Cripps – Leaves my mid bench as JHF, Ward & MacDonald (is this too much on the bench?)
Should I make these changes?
IN: Hall, L. Jackson, Xerri & 110k
OUT: Whitfield, Gawn, Hough (via DPP)
this is the exact trade i’m planning on doing too!
I’m also scouring the feed for the approval I need… half of me is saying ‘leave as is’ and the other half is saying ‘strike while the iron is hot!’
TU
McGovern -> skinner
Whitfield -> hewett
Ward->Cripps
TD
Gawn-> Witts
Whitfield-> hall
McGovern-> Cripps (via dpp)
Gawn/ Rowell/ Chapman
To
Preuss/ Cripps/ Hall
I think Preuss can average the same as Gawn who’s sharing the ruck with Jackson? Thoughts
Do we think Preuss will play every week or perhaps in and out alternating with Flynn depending on match-ups and being rested Etc?
TU Preuss will be in and out
TD Preuss plays every week if not injured
Ned Reaves should be the R2 selection for the next 3 months or so…
Really want to bring in Xerri but who for?
Gibcus (via SDK )
or
Gresham
TU: Rayner > Rowell + 70k
TD: Rayner > Hewett
TU: Trade out Ward
TD: Trade out Hough/Owens
Thinking about using a trade boost going Owens to Hinge just for money generation. Would mean Rachele into mid (and can replace Ward on field) De koning fwd (replaced by N. Martin) and Hinge on bench (or switch with chapman)
Would allow more dpp swing between the lines for future also. Hope that makes sense!
TU – Worth it
TD – Waste of a trade and a boost and leaving you with less cash in the bank.
Hinge /SDK to play in team this week
Thanks for steering me in the right direction but i did doubt you for 3/4 of the game
DEF: Lloyd, Crisp. Whitfield, Hewett, Gibcus, McCartin (Sinn, O’Driscoll)
MID: Macrae, Steele, Oliver, Neale, J.Berry, JHF, N.Daicos, Ward (D.Stephens, Hollands, C.MacDonald)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Dixon)
FWD: Dunkley, Butters. Cogs, Brodie, Rachele, Durdin (SDK, N.Martin)
$90,600 in the bank, 35 trades left
TU – Whitfield. Berry & SDK > Bowey, Crippa & Xerri
TD – Whitfield > Crippa
I’ve got Whitfield + Chapman > Hewett & Bowey locked in.
Up in the air about this one
TU – Steele > Cripps (379k ITB)
TD – Stay strong but miss out on Cripps altogether
TU: Whitfield & Hough > Bowey & Xerri $220k
TD: Whitfield, Hough & Gawn > Hall, L. Jackson & Xerri 115k
Comment: no trades
Baldwin> Skinner
Skinner js?
Whitfield to Ryan is a luxury trade i can facilitate this week, is it worth doing (I am inclined to offload shitfield, his past two games against Suns is what i am having second thoughts on).
TU: Worth it.
TD: Save the trade.
Can Hugh Dixon still be named with this health and safety protocol stuff?
Is it safe to use him as a captain’s loop hole?
Wondering the same thing!
Have Oliver VC and no loop at the moment (pending Dixon).
TU – put the C on Miller (plays before Eagles team sheet comes out)
TD – put the C on Dixon and if he’s named, put the C on Cripps
depends who your r3 is?
no
he’s been named
TU: Play safe with Oliver’s VC 146
TD: Gamble on Neale going massive (or at least as well) against Roos mids with soft tag.
april 1st was yesterday
Any freo vs wce team news? Dont think i can risk a loop
TU:- JHF
TD:- Naish
Bit of a head scratcher here.
I have the VC on Clarry, Owens as a loop but the E on Dylan Stephens and his 23 point stinker.
TU – VC and Stephens
TD – C on Neale and Ward on field.
Who to put the C on?
TU: Steele
TD: Brayshaw
Looks like set forget captain ruck strategy is dead. Which is great for uniqueness in teams.
Next year is all about the value. It’s been creeping in, but now I think it’s locked in as the way forward in coming seasons.
Sticking with grawndy this year till full premo.
Have 3 value rucks on the line cheaper than the big 2-3 combined is what I’ll be doing most likely from this point on.
Ned Reeves should be the R2 selection for the next 3 months or so…
Last minute queries
TU- Brodie
TD-Hayes
I think i know the answer but the just throwing it out there.
