    1. I’m personally waiting till selection.
Longmuir in a bind… has Alex Pearce, Caleb Serong and Darcy Tucker to come into his midfield. Does this push N O’D out, or reduces his field time big?
I’m hoping he still gets named- just haven’t pulled the trigger yet!

  1. TU: Get Gawn and it means I have to play Skinner or SDK if Hinge misses
TD: Get Hewitt and play Dixon or Hayes

    7

    13
  2. Worth going Skinner > NOD or just hold Skinner in hope he get’s recalled & trade out MacDonald instead?

TU: Get rid of Skinner for NOD and generate cash, get of the piss it’s a no-brainer trade.

TD: Keep Skinner, he will play again this year & dump MacDonald who is a slow burn but possible handy DPP incoming.

  3. Worth trading out Bowey a little early in order to get Docherty?

    TU – Smart move
TD – Bowey still has cash to make & scores in him

  4. Backline looking thin: Crisp, Ridley, Hewitt, Chapman, McCartin, O’Driscol (Hinge, DeKoning)

    TU: Trade Ridley or Crisp
    TD: Hold for now

  5. Only line I have an issue with at the moment is defence. Current side is Short, Whitfield, Ridley, Sicily, McCartin, Hinge, Gibcus, De Koning
Think I will hold Ridley this week but he’s on thin ice.
    Which improves my team more?

T/U – Whitfield and Hinge for Stewart and O’Driscoll
T/D – Whitfield and C MacDonald for Hewett and O’Driscoll (Gives me a D/M link)

    3

  6. Callaghan- GWS- will make his debut this week… nice to get some rookie turnover. Hopefully in a couple of weeks might be worth picking up- good form in twos, but priced high.

  7. Still umming and ahhing over O’Driscoll.

If I do pull the trigger, who do I drop?

    MacDonald ?
    Ward ?
    Stephens ?

    2

    4
  8. Whomst is a bigger priority to be cut this week
TU: D Stephens (seems on the outer now)
    TD: M Hinge (omitted!?)

  9. Anyone know the news with Hinge? Says omitted but surely it’s due to injury. If he truly got dropped I’d love to go to O’Driscoll but I’m not sure quite yet. Any news would be amazing.

    1. yeah weird, he is emergency meaning I think he is actually omitted, maybe giving him a rest this week, but still naming him as emergency in case??

      1. Must be a good chance of wearing the vest this week. Maybe they’re trying to limit his game time after that knock last week?

  10. So for some reason I still have Darcy (BE of 235 and set to lose 63k)

    TU: Trade to Gawn
    TD: Trade to Pruess

    11

    7
  11. Got Hinge, Skinner and Gibcus as my bench and D6. With Gibcus omitted, Hinge a potential Emergency and Skinner in extended bench…

    TU: Hinge to NO’D
TD: Wait until finalised teams for Sunday and play Skinner if named.

  12. DEF: Crisp. Ridley, Hewett, Bowey, McCartin, Gibcus (Sinn, O’Driscoll)
MID: Macrae, Oliver, Steele, Neale, Crippa, JHF, N.Daicos, Ward (D.Stephens, Hollands, C.MacDonald)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Dixon)
FWD: Dunkley, Butters. Cogs, Brodie, Xerri, Rachele (Durdin, N.Martin)
$57,000 in the bank, 32 trades left
Any advice or feedback is appreciated!!

    1. You will be hoping NOD gets named otherwise a donut in defence

I would swing cogs to midfield and play Martin in field instead of MacDonald (ward will cover Crippa)

      0

  13. Think I’m going to take Neales awkward score as I don’t have Macrae, still might go Max tho.
    Take Neales. TU
    Go for Max. TD

    11
  14. Bailey Williams from West Coast with Nic Nat out for next 3 months for cash generation:

    T/U – Yes
    T/D – No

    9

    2
  15. TU: Get NOD for one of D. Stephens or Hough (but cop a zero this week in DEF and gain DEF/MID loop)

TD: Get NOD for Hinge (22 playing, no DEF/MID loop)

    2

    8
  16. Trading Ryan. I’ve already got Short, Hewitt, Sicily
    , Whitfield
Should I splash out and Get my mate Doch?
Docherty TU(I’ve got quite a few fist bye players)
    Lloyd TD

    4

    3
  17. Will Grundy, bowey and Perkins traded out this week for preuss, Hewitt and Doherty be a season defining move in a good way?…

    2

    4
  18. My defense is very brittle.

    HELP! Defense is a shambles

Both Ryan and Ridley inconsistent.. Hinge and Gibcus out so facing a donut.

Used 3 trades already. Traded out Chapman to free up enough cash to bring in Hewett and Heeny

    TU
    – Hinge to Chapman
-Gibcus to O’driscoll (if in final team)
-Hough to 102k mid/fwd (will allow me to loop a Fwd for Cripps)

    TD
    – Gibcus to O’driscoll
    – Hough to 102k mid/fwd (will allow me to loop a Fwd for Cripps)
    – Save a trade

Please comment for other ideas I am stuck!

6 trades this early scares me and I know I’ll have to trade Chapman out at some stage

    Thank you!

  19. Worth trading out Grundy, Cripps, Butters, Ridley, Xerri, Hinge, McCartin, McDonald, Stephens, Gibcus, and Ward???

  20. trade d. stephens> o’driscoll.
not sure if stephens gets back into the top team but also NOD’s JS is not the best. structural advantage of the trade is i can open up DPP links from mid-fwd and def-fwd by shifting de koning and rachelle around.
T/U worth the trade NOD will stay in the team
T/D don’t trade NOD’s JS is shaky and stephens will be back
    cheers!

  21. Hi All !
Anyone have any intel on Carlton’s Luke Parks other than his Bio on footywire ?

    Cheers !

  22. Doing a bench loophole.
Who will score higher if JHF flops against the dogs?
    T/U – Erasmsmus
    T/D – C. McDonald

    6

    3
  23. With NicNat out is H Dixon still worth bringing in at $164.4k? Need cover for Cripps that isn’t Ward/MacDonald.

TU: Ward/MacDonald to Dixon Rachele into the mids to cover Crippa.
TD: Just deal with the fact you’ve gotta field one of the Hawk spuds.

  24. Was thinking Bowey > Hall, Stephens > NOD this week but after seeing Fremantle’s lineup I’m not even sure if NOD plays. Problem is that Hall plays before Sunday teams are confirmed and I can’t get him unless I trade Stephens for NOD.

Another alternative is that I can actually get Bowey up to Sinclair without a 2nd trade. Do I just go for that?

    What to do?
TU: Risk it! (Bowey > Hall, Stephens > NOD)
TD: Play it safe and wait for Sunday teams to be released (Means I probably go Sinclair)

    2

    5
    1. I’m in the same boat with bringing in Hall and NOD. I was also looking at Dawson (same price as Hall) – who plays later (after Sunday teams are finalized). McInerney also works for me because I can open up a D/M swing and trade him in now (then bring in NOD if named).

      1

      0
      1. I might even just hold onto Bowey this week hoping that Hall doesn’t go too big as he’s likely to drop cash with a BE of 154. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he goes goes 120+ today though.

Dawson is definitely another option but personally with only 2 premium defender spots left I think I’m eying off Hall and maybe Lloyd.

    2. Coin flip there.

I’m thinking about holding Bowey 1 more week then going Bowey > Pruess next week and then upgrading with that money.

If you think NOD has good job security and Bowey will score poorly this week then go for it

    1. From “Injuries” post –
Mitch Hinge (hip) Test after being subbed out of the game in the third quarter after a direct blow his hip which also affected his abdominal area. Will be assessed at training on Wednesday.

“Mitch copped a pretty nasty blow to his hip and lateral abdominal area, and unfortunately he couldn’t continue the game,” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess.

“He’s pulled up quite well. At this stage, he’ll be available. It was very much light duties today with him.” Matthew Nicks

The warning bell was the last line, that he was on light duties on Wednesday after receiving the heavy knock. Obviously Adelaide doesn’t think that he is able to play the rigours of AFL on a light preparations and a drop back to lesser intensity of the SANFL would be better. He would receive the benefit of a whole game versus the uncertainty of being a medical sub. Where he may have to play longer minutes in a harder game or maybe none at all?
I would envision a quick return to the seniors for Hinge after this precautionary return to the SANFL.

      6

      0
    2. He’s not in the SANFL side so I think he’s just out hurt. The AFL site now has him listed as out injured so I wouldn’t be too worried. Reckon he should be back next week

      4

      0
      1. Yes, you are right Johnno.
I see that the SANFL teams are updated and Hinge is not now on the list.

  25. Filthy at myself for selling him when he was dropped (for Hayes), but is Dixon worth trading back in? Feels so wrong, but his JS appears better than O’Driscoll and I am simply looking to make maximum cash…

    TU: Bring in Dixon
    TD: Bring in NOD

    7

    4
  26. With news from Carlton that Cripps is no certainty to play rnd 6 and there still not sure is it worth it to take a risk or should I just trade to Heeney via dpp
    TU: Hold and hope
    TD: Trade to heeney

    6

    4
    1. Patrick Cripps

“The assessment that we’ve had is he should be right to go next week. Certainly no major damage was there. That gives him a chance for next week at least. He has to come out & train.

“He’ll have a steady build-up. He’s already been out here doing some running so his recovery is on track. We didn’t want to push it any quicker than that. I think over the weekend we’ll have a bit more of an idea of where he’s at, when we come in Monday.”
      Michael Voss.

  27. when does DPP change happen- is it after this round, and who is likely to get it? could daicos could become def/mid and macdonald become mid/fwd? anyone else?

    1. This is what I wrote in Rare gems post.

After this round extra dual positions are allocated if a player spends 35% of his time in another position. Apparently you don’t have to have played every game. (four out of five are required)

Tristan Xerri, Nick Daicos, Brady Hough, Connor MacDonald, Zak Butters, Scott Pendlebury, Tom Liberatore, Nic Martin and Angus Brayshaw likely to be given dual positions.

Isaac Heeney and Bailey Smith are borderline.

It depends how much time Heeney has in the forward line with Buddy missing this week.

Smith is marginally just under the threshold and this round will be the deciding factor.

      5

        1. Luke Parker is pretty much assured Forward status atm.

He would have to play 100% mid this week to miss. he has hardly been sighted in the middle this year.

He has had a few stinkers this year and would really need to get back in the guts to be worth considering. Maybe when Papley is back ?

  28. Looking for a value defence upgrade with the aim to be a keeper:
    TU – Hewett
    TD – Sicily

  29. Need help coaches have a feeling Cripps will be out 2 weeks
    T/U Cripps > T.Miller
    T/U Hold Trade (Rachelle Cover)
    Thanks coaches

    14
  30. Trade Darcy to

    TU: Gawn before tomorrow’s game
TD: Let him play this week and lose cash and get English next week

    9

    1
  31. Hinge > O’Driscoll
    Bowey > Docherty
    Cripps > Brayshaw (freo)

    TU: Chill. Waste of trades.
TD: Big move. Could pay off.

  32. Folks, in need of your thumbs please!
    Who scores more:
    T/U – Rowell V Saints
    T/D – Cogs v Demons

    Thanks!

        1. I know he will be cheaper next week but he’s trading to a premo this week. Touk scores 125-130 this week compared to a rookie 50 is a big difference.

          4

          2
  33. Haven’t made any trades so far. Going along allright.
Should I trade Maginnes to O’Driscoll just for the money.
    TU: Yes
    TD: No

    18

    1
  34. Trading Cripps. With Touk having a breakeven of 188 this week he is estimated to drop around another 30K

    Should I:
    TU: Leave Touk a week
TD: Bring in Docherty by way of Hewett moving into the middle

    4

    1
    1. Def wait on Touk, just for price drop. Why not wait on Cripps, if you have some depth at MID he’ll be back in 2-3 weeks.

Hewitt might be a season long keeper at this rate, I’m holding on him for sure

      3

      1
  35. Have started 1W 1L in my league, looks like it will be a close finish this week. Can probably make sure of a win if I trade Cripps out to another Premo.

TU: Trade Cripps for the win
TD: Save trade, play the long game

    3

    10
  36. Should I trade Luke Ryan out for
Hewett , I have used 4 trades so far.

    Tu: yes
Td: no save the trade, get Hewett as
    a upgrade later.

    8

    5
  37. Can loop in Rachelle’s 49 but not keen. Do I loop in Macdonald or Ward, not sure who scores better or if they even get better than 49…

    TU: Put Macdonald on field
    TD: Put Ward on field.

    1

    4
    1. Ward seems to be getting much more MID minutes than MacDonald at the moment – so he would probably be the safer bet to put on your field.

Although Ward hasn’t taken advantage of all those mid minutes / CBA’s yet 🙁

      Hopefully tomorrow is the day!!
