  1. Given Saints let opposition mids off the leash can we see Rozee or Butters as VC options, or does Marshall redeem himself and go huge against Port kid?
    TU- Rozee/butters
    TD- Marshall

    1. I’ve traded as soon as I saw it- calf strain can really slow you down and slow to heal. Welcome to my side Serong!

  2. Needing some help team:

TU: LDU and Phillips > Walsh and H Harrison (If he is named) bench cover
TD: LDU, Phillips and Grundy > Walsh, English and H Harrison (If he is named) bench cover

    TIA

  3. Who to get replacing LDU?

    TU: Sinclair

    TD: L.Ryan

Comment: Use boost bring in Day put in Defense and bring in Serong in Mid

  4. Thinking of moving out Setterfield. Have enough $$ for either:
    TU: Setterfield > Day
    TD: Setterfield > Rowell

  5. Already settled on Mackenzie and Touk out for Mitchell and Laird.

Who to bring in for LDU…
TU: Cogs (Rozee/Dunks swung into mids, leaves $190k ITB)
    TD: Walsh (leaves $73k ITB)

  6. As soon as I heard LDU had been withdrawn I straight away traded him out for Coniglio + $50.

I did consider Serong or Day but I really don’t consider either of them as ‘keepers’

Geez it would be nice to have an injury free week so I didn’t have to do any trades.

The mystery surrounding Laird only exacerbates matters

  7. With 27 trades left and 2 boosts used – I am debating the following options

TU : 3 trades- out goes Cowan, Roberts & McKenna & trade in Mitchell, Cincotta & Day
TD : 2 trades only – out goes Wilmot & McKenna to trade in Mitchell & Day (can’t afford Day in just 2 trades without trading out these 2)

I prefer TU to get rid of the non playing rookies to help with cash generation and bench cover as option 2 is getting rid of 2 rookies still playing (and leaving Cowan, Roberts & Constable still to deal with) BUT using another boost concerns me when Cowan/Roberts and Cincotta don’t need to be a this week problem.

    1. I gave a thumbs down Lia as I don’t think Day is a must have an secondly if you are like me you are burning thru trades so take the opportunity to save one this week (a boost nonetheless) for later.

    2. Lisa, I know you need a win, but punters I know brought in wagner after one game, and you are considering Cincotta ??

      1. I’ve broken my rule on this and taken the punt on Cincotta after 1 game. Reason is I think Cowan may be the Sub and therefore would prefer to trade him than potentially lose value. I am using the term ‘managed’ for a player named as an emergency as a little clue they could be the sub.

  8. TU: Day + 164k
    TD: Macrae + 31k

How sold are we on Day? Obviously the extra cash is super tempting and he has some nice scores but I like the idea of Macrae v Hawthorn mids more so than Day v Doggies mids.

  9. Really wish we knew if Laird was playing or not, and having the Adel game on Sunday doesn’t help at all. The plan was to trade him in this week, but not keen with the calf injury and the good chance of him being a late out, but then if he does play, his price goes up for next week, making it harder to afford him. Makes me think I should just do a double downgrade this week – and plan for him for next week instead.

  10. TU:
    Grundy > Stewart
    Roberts > Mitchell
    * Play S.Ryan ruck and get max next week

    T/D:
    Grundy > Darcy
    Setterfield > Stewart
    L. Jones > Mitchell

    Cheers guys

  11. Only have enough budget ($573,300) for this round to trade in either D.Parish or J.Steele – any player trade suggestions are welcomed, please comment.

    TU = Steele
    TD = Parish

  12. Need a second rookie along with Seamus. Looking more towards job security rather than cash gen.

    TU: Williams PA
    TD: Sturt FRE

Comment: I have a rule of not going early on rookies but maybe Cincotta. Will he stay in the team?

  13. Is it best 18 scoring this round???????? I have a lot of red and white stripey icons and empty round circle icons against my players…..

    1. I have a bench of one – Wilmot, who may be called upon should Laird not play.

No Chesser Cowan Roberts Constable Madden Phillips and Davey

Cash generation may become a problem I think!!

      1. Almost identical to me Shaggi. Had to burn another 3 trades and have one bench cover rook to try cover Laird if he is out.

At least I got Marshall VC correct and didn’t have any trouble finding a C loophole haha

  14. LDU to Sinclair, Stewart, Serong, Degoey?????

I’m asking so many questions right now. I know Stewart is a lock top 6 defender but also, the price of Sinclair/De Goey allows 1 less trade to a premo next week, even though its a 50k or so difference between them it all matters.

  15. Want to build a bank for Oliver next week..
Is cincotta worth using a boost on now we’ve seen him named with Saad and doch back in the 22? Wilmot or cowan to cincotta

  16. TU: Cowan/Grundy > English/Mitchell (English 130s hard to pass up)

TD: Hold Grundy & hope TOG improves (Go for a cheap Gawn next week. (1 trade Cowan > Mitchell)

  17. T/U Day – no boost needed next week for Clarry
T/D – Sicily – boost next week for Clarry

Have 27 trades and 3 boosts left

  18. TU Out Mackenzie, McKenna, LDU
    In SMitchell, Day, Cogs

    TD Out Mackenzie, Grundy, LDU
    In SMitchell, Darcy, Cogs

Solves the Grundy ruck issue, but misses out on Day.

  19. Im $6500 short of my ideal trades this week of:

    Ginbey > S.Mitchell
    Mckenna > Day
L.Jones > Cogs (via DPP Sheezel)

The only way i can make it work is trade in Cincotta instead of S.Mitchell, which i dont really want to do because it forces me miss out on Mitchell and also go early on Cincotta.

Any ideas or alternatives, need help quickly.

    Thanks in advance.

  20. Hi peoples who do you think is the better trade in Day or Stewart trading out Touk bloody Lairds a worry as well when will know.
    Cheers Paul.

  21. Hey Paul.

Laird not looking good at this stage.

Tough choice re Stewart or Day. It really is team dependant.

Go Stewart if you don’t have many dead rookies and you’re confident you have enough money to finish your team. He could also be worth it if you already own a heap of round 14 Bye players. ( Days Bye )

Go Day if you already have 3 big defenders like Dawson/ Daicos / Stevens / Sicily,
or if you’re struggling for cash and have space for more Round 14 bye players.

Saving the cash by going to Day also gives you money to continue upgrading over the next few weeks, allowing you to perhaps target Oliver when he gets to ~ $650K in a week or two.

  22. Hi all. Beautiful spring day here in Melbourne and great for playing football . I have a dilemma. Still need to trade Touk and Laird is a worry. So I have had my eye on Degoey for a few weeks now and like what I’ve seen. He has gone about his business quietly. Is he a top 10/12 mid & the extra $100,000 will come in handy for upgrades next week , looking @ Sic & Sinclair. Thoughts appreciated, thanks.
