  1. I think I would still prefer having Grundy as R2 and sweet as R3 on the bench making money. I just think trading Grundy to Sweet is a bit risky and relying on Sweet as R2

  2. TU: Xerri- Sweet (R2), Williams – Zerrett, Powell- Serong
Means running with Sweet for next 4 – 5 weeks at R2 then targeting English at a higher price.

    TD – Xerri – English, Williams – Zerrett/Serong, Powell – Sweet (R3)
Sweet sits on the bench making money and get English at his cheapest price.

    • Looking at norffs ins & outs this weekend powell should be back into that midfield and CBAs. 2 midfielders and a winger out and bought two forwards in helps Powell’s role.

  3. Trading in Sweet

TU: R2 take points and cash
    TD: R3 take cash only

Assuming your current R2 is Grundy, Marshall or Xerri

        • Adelaide are the 4th hardest team to score against for a ruckman so far this season. O’Brien wins 50% of his hit-outs with 11 going to advantage on average this season. One of best all season.
A good score tonight should mean his is capable of playing against rucks that concede a lot more

    • putting him at R2 is my plan. was always going to upgrade Grundy to English.

Doing Grundy to Sweet now, and Sweet to English in 4-5 weeks will be only 2 trades, this will save a trade, instead of trading Sweet in then out and still having to upgrade Grundy to English being 3 trades..

it also gives you an extra ‘premo’ score on field for the next 4-5 weeks instead of Sweet’s score on the bench.

Loop for tonight, if Sweet has a sub 60, might think of holding Grundy one more week and hope Garcia or Nyuon can do better than 60 this week

  4. Jack Steele?

    T/U – keep, he’ll come good.
T/D – go sideways to Bont as Jack is cooked and has done his job.

    • Not sure who you have at M8 or F6.

Getting Heeney will mean getting to taking a Garcia/Nyuon/cadman type off field.

Where getting Merrett might means putting a Graham/Roberts/Chohey on bench.

Will the difference between say Heeney and Garcia, be more than the difference between Merrett and Graham?

  5. I have Meet at R2 who is scoring well and has more money to take and Naismith at R3 who is also looking like will make money as a slow burn.

Worth trading either of them for Sweet?

  6. Trades last week (Sanders & Windsor > Walsh & H.Garcia)
DEF: Sheezel, Houston, Daicos, NWM, Roberts, Clohesy (Reid, Coffield)
MID: Butters, Serong, Bont, Walsh, Steele, LDU, D’Ambrossio, Sharp (D.Wilson, W.Graham, Mannagh)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
    FWDS; Flanders, T.Powell, Reid, S.Darcy, Dempsey, T.Berry (Nyuon, H.Garcia)
    $112,600 ITB, 27 trades left, 3 boosts.

Was planning this week going Dempsey, Sharp, D’Ambrossio > Sweet (via DPP), Rogers, T.Green, $197,100 ITB

But the LDU news has me a little worried, should I do Sharp & D’Ambrossio > Sweet (via DPP) & T.Green, I will have $47,300 ITB or continue on with the original plan.

  7. 1 boost remaining which I’m looking at using this week. I have the Jack Steele conundrum. 2 options I’m weighing up:

TU: Powell, Darcy, Lazzaro > Merrett, Sweet, Rogers

TD: Steele, Powell, Roberts > Merrett, Serong, Sweet

  8. Sexton named on extended bench third week in a row – I still have him on my bench. He’s worth $182,800 with a BE of -5.
Nyuon omitted this week, and not even as emergency. Also on my bench. He’s worth $174,300 with a BE of +8.
One is being traded this week. The other remains my F7/F8.
    TU : Trade out Sexton
    TD: Trade out Nyuon.

    • Azza I had the same dilemma and traded out Sexton. Just because Clarko loves Biggy. He said earlier the kid has huge potential. And with the continuing injuries in North, he will give him more chances even though he is a crap AFL player bcoz he is still building his team .

Sexton on the other end has been very good preseason, was tearing it down their VFL, is an experienced AFL player, yet stuck in emergency land. Dimma gave him the role and the chance early in the season but dropped him bcoz he is not convinced . GCS are winning, without him, Dimma is happy to bleed in the kids . Trimming as he goes as He is eying the finals.

Having said that, it’s a 50/50 decision and unless you’re a very patient player, we just need to take the 60-80k profit and move on.

  9. T/U – Option 1: 60k Bank
    – Take Sweet’s 74
    – Grundy -> Merrett
    – Hore -> Rogers

    T/D – Option 2: 17k Bank
    – Leave Sweet R3
    – Williams -> Merrett
    – Dempsey -> R. Garcia

  10. Ranked inside the top 100

Concerns with Jack Steele and his past scores whilst carrying an injury of some sort..

    Tu; Hold him
Td; Move him on now at 600k

        • Mind you I also already have most of the big gun mids, is it worth trading Steele to Stewart and banking the 60 odd grand?

          • If you go that plan it is almost better to wait a week since Saints are playing North. Both will drop cash unless Stewart scores 140+

              • I would prefer Bont because they share the same bye. I’m seeing a lot of preferred targets with the round 14 bye which is annoying.
Bont has likely bottomed out from his original price and should be a point gain. Don’t see much gain from Stewart

    T/U: Hold Marshall

    T/D: Marshall -> English

Or comment: Marshall to Rowell/Serong and cop a donut this week but sweet becomes r2 next week

  13. I’m sure this will be a very popular question but really torn on whether to hold Grundy or take sweets score and trade. Thinking bulk stoppages could help grundy in the wet.

TU: Trade Grundy – Serong, thus taking sweets 71

TD: Hold and back grundy in, reassess next week

    • Depends who you would be fielding in place of Sweet in your fwd line. If a real dud or even potentially a donut then R2 for Sweet is a better play. But if you have a Darcy Wilson on bench that can go F6 then keep grundy

    • Yeah it’s a tough call. I decided to keep Grundy this week. His 3 game average at the SCG is 132. Merrett is hopefully capped at the current price. Next Friday there’s half of footy to see how Sweet is going and can revisit the Grundy trade.

  14. Traded in Macrae last week, and assuming he’ll be the sub this week. Already traded in Dawson and Sweet this week.

TU: Use a boost and trade Macrae to Harry McKay
TD: Hold for this week and field Darcy Wilson

Comment: Use a boost and trade Macrae to Dylan Moore

  15. Is trading out D’Ambrosia for B Dale worth a trade (and a boost) or a bit too sideways? Thinking I would rather save the boost and money for a better upgrade next week….

    TU: Do the trade
TD: Save the trade (and boost)

    • Boosts are there to be used Brian, the way I’m looking at Dale is that he is not going to be top 6. There is currently are clear Top 8 who we should be picking from. However, he. is very good value and by getting him it will allow yourself to upgrade your mids or rucks.

  16. Which is better of two trades to make (after Dempsey to Serong which ive locked in)

Tu: Steele to Merrett, $155k inb, hold Powell
Td: Powell to Touk, $17k inb, hold steele.

Have 3 boosts left (including this week) so not fussed using another next week to generate cash if needed

    TU: Trade Powell
    TD: Trade Dempsey

I need to play one of these as well so whoever will score more important as well.

    TU: Trade to Serong

  20. Got boosts to use/ first two trades are Grundy & Cadman to Sweet & Serong

    Third trade

T/U – Lazzaro to Rogers. Leaves me enough to double upgrade next week

T/D – Berry to Anderson. Helps the team but unsure of whether he’s top 10 mid

  21. Is one of touk or yeo for defence better value than merrett and rowell at his price? Can’t decide if to pay up. The 40-60k may be handy next week.

    Current Def is:
Daicos, sheezel, Houston, Roberts, Howes, McKercher (Reid Hore)

    Current midfield is:
Bont, Green, Serong, Steele, Rozee, Dawson, Bonner* Graham (Clohesy Wilson HGarcia)

I think I really want yeo to bolster that defence. But I worry about his body and high price. Appreciate all comments and advice

  23. Also, do I trade Dempsey to:

TU: Naismith (allows me to use cadman’s score as he’s my emergency, would swing Livingston forward)
    TD: Rogers

TU: Bring in Mcaullife to take the 125

    TD: Stick with Graham

    • I pondered the exact same scenario in the St Kilda/Roos clash chat. Huge risk – in case of a late mid premo out or McAuliffe (listed as emergency) being a late in. Still tempting.

  25. Having Fyfe as sub after he returned to his glory days last week is a disgrace. I assume he’s not injured or he wouldn’t play at all.
The sub rule and stupid coaches make Supercoach a lottery and nearly enough to give up the game
