Western Bulldogs: Tom Liberatore will miss this week’s game against Richmond due to concussion.
Having suffered two concussions in a short space of time, Tom will be unavailable for an indefinite period as the Club works through a thorough process before a return-to-play plan is determined.
Western Bulldogs: Tom Liberatore has received a one-match suspension for his dangerous tackle on Hawthorn’s Will Day.
Liberatore’s tackle on Day was graded as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in the one-game suspension..

Collingwood: Jamie Elliott is being managed carefully over the next few days in the hope he will be fit to face West Coast.
The forward has been struggling (again) with a back complaint. Still a decent chance to play Sunday but no certainty given his history.
Port Adelaide: Training session
Charlie Dixon has limped from Port’s main session – appeared to go down with the ball no where near him and went straight inside.
More updates to come but adds to concerns with Sweet (ill) Burgoyne (groin tightness) also missing tonight.
Essendon: Xavier Duursma injured his quad at training on Wednesday. Expected to miss 4 weeks.
GWS: Tom Green (on his podcast) – “I’ll be touch and go for this weekend. Thankfully the scans came back pretty clear so I didn’t tear major ligaments or anything… If not this weekend then I’ll be playing next weekend, but I’ll be doing absolutely I can to play this week.”

“He’ll just train. I expect him to be fine. He had a precautionary scan to confirm what we thought, which is there’s no injury. He just had a bit of tightness. We expect him to train and play.”

Gold Coast: Wil Powell has been handed a five-game suspension by the AFL for making a homophobic slur against a Brisbane player in last Sunday night’s QClash.
The AFL Integrity Unit has been investigating the matter since being made aware of the incident on Monday, following the incident in the QClash.
Powell has been found guilty of breaching AFL Rule 2.3(a) and been hit with a lengthy suspension for conduct unbecoming, which rules him out until round 14 and also prevents him from playing in the VFL.

“He had a scan and there’s some tendon involvement. That means it’s going to be longer than a standard muscle strain.”
Brad Scott on Xavier Duursma’s quad injury, which will see him miss “probably a month, minimum.”

Fremantle: TEAM CHANGE: Hugh Davies has been added as an Emergency for tonight’s round 9 game, replacing Ethan Hughes.
The change has been approved by AFL EGM Football under the discretion provided within the AFL regulations.
