The incident involving the Brisbane Lions’ Charlie Cameron and St Kilda’s Daniel McKenzie from the third quarter of Saturday night’s match was assessed. The ball is kicked to a leading Cameron in the Brisbane Lions’ forward 50. McKenzie approaches the marking contest from the opposite direction and contact is made. It is the view of the MRO that Cameron’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken.

The Match Review Officer graded the incident as medium impact, intentional conduct and high contact, which results in a two-game ban.
The suspension rules last year’s No.1 draft pick out of contention for the NAB AFL Rising Star award.
Lachie Young has been offered a one-match ban for rough conduct on Matt de Boer.
Jake Stein has been offered a $2000 sanction for rough conduct against Luke Davies-Uniacke.
Harry Himmelberg was fined $1500 for striking Nick Larkey.

Nth Melbourne: Lachie Young & Jason Horne-Francis will not contest their suspensions.
The AFL has completed its enquiry into the Steven May and Jake Melksham incident. The AFL is satisfied the initial club imposed sanctions are appropriate and will take no further action.
Western Bulldogs: Bailey Smith – “Has been found guilty of conduct unbecoming and has been suspended for 2 matches.” AFL Integrity Unit
Smith admitted his guilt in an interview with the AFL this week, and the League has subsequently banned him for two matches. He has also received a ‘notifiable adverse finding’, or strike, under the AFL’s Illicit Drugs Policy.
