Charge laid from Friday match
Nakia Cockatoo, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Engaging in Rough Conduct against Rhys Stanley, Geelong Cats, during the third quarter of the Round Four match between the Geelong Cats and the Brisbane Lions played at GMHBA Stadium on Friday April 8, 2022.

  3. Paddy Ryder’s ban stands.

    The jury finds that the impact was high. Having disposed of the ball, Day was entitled to expect and indeed appeared to expect that he would not then receive forceful contact, which was largely front-on.

    As such, he was vulnerable and did not take any steps to minimise the impact. The contact to his head was forceful.
