  1. I know a lot of people are playing Taranto at M5 with his cost only 453k, but I feel an interesting POD would be Brayshaw at 544k. He’s only in 2% of teams and he attended 76% of the centre bounces in the preseason match

    1. I have Brayshaw now and pretty confident in it – I personally think he’s priced below his worst case scenario, he averaged 108 after the first four rounds and is priced at 101. Also, it’s his fourth season so reaching a point historically where it’s pretty common for players to become elite mids.

    2. Played all games the last two years, increasing his average last year (over the 17 games) by 30 to 101.3

The average increase last year will be a little skewed due the year we had and a little elevated … but he is certainly worth considering!
Helped with the “supposed” Fyfe playing more forward …

    1. I’ve essentially got the same, betting an an across the board increase (generally speaking) in defenders and have Laird plus 5 keepers in defence.

Think there might be some bargains to be had in the mids this year.

Sure it’s a risk, but I’m not really interested in picking the same team as anyone else. If it works, it works. If not I’ll come back next year.

  2. Have those writing off Rowell (looking at you shorty) forgotten about Olivers second season? He went 70 in his first year and backed it up 111 in only his second season… Explain too me why Rowell cannot do the same? He’s rated more elite for his inside game than Oliver and in an improving GC side. Oliver was in a shamble of a demons side at the time and Rowell is a true professional he lives and breathes football.

    1. Oliver got a full year of development in and played 13 games.

Rowell spent the year in rehab after playing four games.

He may score well, but don’t think it’ll be well enough to be a keeper or make enough money (given his inflated price). Hoping for a slow start to make him a slightly underpriced starter next year.

        1. Amazing how some people completely misread the room. This is a great site for constructive feedback, shame when the odd peanut decides to spoil it.

  3. I can’t believe that walsh is sitting third in the poll… he is going to break out hard this year. 12 percent in the poll is ridiculous I think

  4. TU : Neale & sharp

    TD : Walsh & H.clark

I still have MacRae Oliver Gawn Grundy as captain options. Neale with a niggle is worrying and hunter Clarke means I don’t have to field two rookies down back.
