Seriously considering Gawn + Meek + Flynn.
Pretty much comes down to Lloyd and Meek vs Grundy and a fourth defensive rookie.

Going with Gawn R1, Flynn R2, Meek R3. I have been able to boost my def and fwd lines. Rookie to H.Clark D4, I had H.Young at D4, he is now D5. Rookie to Dunkley F2, Dusty was F2, he is now F3.
Yeah but Grundy is better than those blokes…
Lachie Neale is also a lot better than say Paddy Dow… or Jake Lloyd is a lot better than Tom Highmore.
You’re should not be comparing Grundy being better than Meek in isolation, you are REALLY comparing what you can do with the same amount of money.
Unless of course you’re choosing to leave 500k in your kitty for the rest of your season.
It has just been stated by Goodwin over the radio that Gawn will spend 70% of his time in the ruck
I’d be interested to know what percent of time he has normally spent there??
Surely in matches normally, he is rested, spends time on the bench, doesn’t attend every ruck contest etc … so is this just ‘smoke screen’ for media or what??
I’ve gone crazy… Grundy and 2 rookies! Or genius??
However, I now have a set and forget backline! Haha
What are everyone’s thoughts on Stefan Martin as a stepping stone? With one of Gawn or Grundy to start.
Looked good in AAMI game, Bevo seems real keen to run him with English forward.
Low points per minute. Lower than say Hunter.
He may improve but scored less than Meek or Hunter (or Briggs who we can take as a substitute for Flynn) at more than twice the price.
That suggests you should look elsewhere.
Same goes for anyone considering Hickey.
Either go up to Draper or down to a Rookie at R2.
Why no love for ROB? He’s been in my team from Day 1.
Because Adelaide’s much hyped improvement in the mids seems not to have happened and the rucks all appeared to be scoring relatively poorly during AAMI.
You can now add Crouch out to those worries..
Does the coach saying Gawn will only play 70% ruck worry anyone?
If that means he is resting forward and spending less time on the bench, then I think it’s okay.
It is going to be very interesting to say the least…
