Lisa garnered a fair amount of support with her follow up query on what Clayton Oliver owners did with him prior to the end of round 11. Not sure what percentage of SCT readers ended up trading, but up to 50,ooo coaches worldwide traded him out.
So what did the Oliver owners out there in cyberland decide and will we regret it long term? Will we be able to reclaim him down the track?
He’s back on the track in the main training group so will we end up being “Stewarted” as he returns early?

Little of both points and warm bodies for me. Voted for points as I could have fielded a bare 18but it included. too many risky rookie scores. Chose Serong as the bye suited more but my two trades probably only netted me 50 points.
Now if he’s an early return I’m sure I will chew up my notes as punishment !!
Traded out Oliver for Sicily.
Not sure if I am ahead or behind the curve.
Sure Sicily scored 170+ but now he is missing this week AND Oliver is allegedly confirmed already for round 13 against Collingwood on Kings birthday Monday.
Has a high be and hopefully won’t hit it against the pie’s. I’m waiting till after his buy to pick him back up.

Hi WG , I’ve still have the likes of Humphrey, Mitchell, Ashcroft and Baker as my better performing rookies and a bank of just over $200,000. This week I’m trading out both Atkins and Long for Ford and Briggs and will make sure with any further upgrades I’ll have enough to buy him back in. Like for instance I’ve had to compromise a bit and getting Lloyd instead of Stewart. Hopefully down the track if I have enough trade’s left Day might become him. But my decision works for me now.

Well it did not really matter in the long run, now I have Laird, Sicily and Oliver warming the bench, at least I have good bench cover in a few weeks.
Im in the same boat. Held Oliver and traded in Laird and Sicily last round
I was 797 in rank so was purely based on ranking for me this time. Ended up trading him to Zerrett but also had cash ITB to facilitate getting Stewart in for Teakle via some DPP.
Worked out in terms of rank as I posted what turned out to be a strong score & moved up to 384th overall

If I had him on the bench I would’ve been fielding Wardlaw last week and then struggled to get 18 this week. Trading him to Merrett worked out 70 points better, probably at least that again this week. 150-200 points probably covers the difference between Merrett and Oliver ROS plus I could bring him back for my next injured premo
Traded Stewart back in …. again! Happy with the decision at the moment, 138 points and the favourable bye. Now to deal with Shrek, Rat, Wills (Day and Powell), etc., etc. What will the next curve ball bring?
Traded Oliver out for Serong purely to mitigate the risk of a Oliver missing the entire bye rounds and Serong having a better bye.
Sicily getting suspended and a couple rookies likely to get dropped added to the fact Oliver will be back next week probably makes it all not worth it in hindsight, however if Serong smashes it when Oliver has his bye that will help. A little bit extra cash helps too.
I traded him based on rank to laird and went from. 600 to 514 I also plan of getting Oliver back round 15 as he has been my captain 7 out of 11 weeks so need my prema captain back
Traded to Neale pocketed 100k, only got Oliver in that week however I have very poor cover for him and was ranked 206 at the time. had no choice

I also traded him to Laird – went from ranked 3326 to 1713. I had thought to hold him but once I saw how diabolical my team was looking over the byes with him out, pulled the pin, as much as it hurt. Will hurt even more I’m sure when he only misses 2 weeks, but that’s the way it goes.
