Polling Station – Round 12

Written by The Salamander on May 31 2021

Got a poll you’d like to see on SCT? Just suggest your poll in the comments below, and if the community deems it worthwhile, we’ll have that poll. Easy!

Unlike our more usual TU/TD threads, the thumbs here are for indicating whether or not you think a particular proposed poll is worth having, not voting in said poll.

So, what polls would you like to see this week? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. If Grundy is out until is bye, is it worth flirting with the idea of sideways trading him or even downgrading him to Coleman-Jones?

    1. I’ve gone thumbs up for the idea of it as a poll, but i’m a definite thumbs down to the idea of actually doing it.

  2. An obvious one in bye week one, but the number of bodies you’re likely to have on the field this week.

  3. Just wondering during the byes… If say round 12 you have 3 playing rucks with one as emergency and 17 players only playing… Do you get the emergency rucks score ?

  4. After byes rounds are complete. How many rookies will you still be fielding? Zero? 1, 2 or 3?

    1. At the end of next week I will have 2 remaining rookies, so I would assume at the end of the byes I would have 1 rookie remaining. That last rookie is waiting for danger to come back in fwd line

  5. With Grundy out for 2 weeks (3 when you include bye), what strategy to cover him – cash or keeper?
Cash = downgrade and then upgrade to Grundy when the 76 pts drops out of his cycle (costing an extra trade but making cash).
Keeper = straight trade to next best ruck option (only one trade but less $cash and no Grundy for SC finals)

    1. Third option = Keep Grundy as the bye rounds are best 18 players and you were going to play without him for one of those rounds any way. This the best time of the year to carry an injured player without compromising your scoring potential too much.

He is too good to not have in the final rounds of the season. Save your trades for more essential trades.

I doubt there is too many in the position to have the trades to make sideward trades and then try to trade Grundy back in. With all the injuries this year and less than expected growth from rookies, trades are precious, more so than normal.

  6. Anyone else try to loophole a Friday night VC only to end up with F. Macrae as captain?

  7. I’d love to see how many trades that coaches are looking to have at the end of the byes, what their planned remaining number is.
