Agree Nato, my issue is more that if I take him he will sit at R3 for cash gen which almost makes it not worth it with the other downgrade options out there. Eg Rogers and Garcia …
Maybe a poll on who best downgrade options are this week although a lot of that is covered in other updates. Tough week for trading.
The R3 being a waste discussion is interesting. If you are to take Rogers or Garcia, I assume you are doing so to put on the bench. Not onfield. So I am not sure why R3 is more problematic than F7 or M11.
As such they are there to provide cover and cash generation. On that basis you have
Sweet 158.7k BE -113
Rogers 148.8k BE -41
Garcia 126.6k BE -74
You would think on the basis of cash generation, Sweet is the best chance. Moreso when you consider his big score is in the second game. (Also favours Rogers more than Garcia).
In terms of job security- Soldo is definitely out for 4-5 weeks. Bevo said Garcia would have been sub if Libba played. Hardwick said the young 18 year olds will need rests to keep them fresh, and Rogers needs more fitness (smells like sub risk).
Sweet is a gift from the SC gods. Please accept it with a smile!
I find it a waste of potential points on field if he sits R3. He definitely comes in to make money no matter what position.
If he averages 90 and Grundy 110. That is a 20 point loss each week.
If I have Williams averaging 70, but trade in someone like Dawson to ~110 average it is 40 gain each week.
Thus a weekly net 20 point increase
The main poll I’d want is between Garcia and Rogers. Aleer is also on the bubble which is why I suggested him, but Taylor returning is why I wouldn’t pick him
Might be useful to get the collective’s thoughts on which common premo targets of similar values will score more, going forward.
Eg Dawson V Martin
Merrett V Rowell
English and Gawn should finish top two rucks imo.
English (BE 90)has fallen $123k from his starting price, Gawn has gone up $126k. I’m not sure of Romo’s injury situation, but I would be targeting English before Gawn.
Maybe a poll on what to do with Rowan Marshall considering the chance he may be rested/injured and underperforming. Hold? Sweet? Upgrade?
Sweet – R2, R3 or trap?
Outside Heeney & Flanders, rank the next 6 forwards from now on.
Sweet isn’t a trap. It is more is he worth the risk to play at R2?
I don’t think he is a trap, but maybe someone has good reasons why he may be. Those reasons may also help if you are tossing up between R2 and R3.

If he was averages 70 or less I wouldn’t risk R2
Targets to trade in this week
R. Garcia or Rogers or Aleer
Aleer has performed well, however I’m not confident in his JS as the Giants have depth in this area.
Taylor probably returns this week, Cumming and Haynes performing well in the VFL …. hmmm
The main poll I’d want is between Garcia and Rogers. Aleer is also on the bubble which is why I suggested him, but Taylor returning is why I wouldn’t pick him
Which players are potential traps. Sweet, Fyfe , Roger’s etc . How many more can we add to the list.
If Fyfe is a trap….I want more traps. Guess that is easy to say if you started him.
TU: Zerrett
TD: Bont
Is powell a must trade out this week?
What a trap he ended up being! Only north player Im confident with going forward is sheezel
J Sweet has occurred, and I have two options.
TU: Ship off Xerri -> Sweet at R2
TD: Ship off Maley (non-playing rookie) @ R3 -> Sweet at R3
At this stage, I would love both Xerri and Sweet to be on-field but that might not be the case :/

Etc
If you’re a Marshall owner
And don’t have Gawn, do you trade in Gawn for him this week. Already have Sweet at R2.
