We spent a lot of time thinking about how we were going to navigate the byes over the last month or so… but have we thought about what comes afterwards?
Most teams don’t seem to be at full-premium yet. Most of us have also burned through a lot of trades. I think most of us know by now what sort of carnage lies ahead towards the end of the season (hint for first-year coaches: it’s bad. Very, very bad).
Assuming you’re going to keep on upgrading, would you rather go top-heavy, and make sure you’ve got the top scorers, even if it means leaving a couple of rookies or mid-pricers on the field, or would you rather get all the rookies off the field, even if it means taking in guys who will only average 90 to 95 for the rest of the year?
Finally, what should we do about active (playing) rookies left on the bench? What’s the right balance between extracting cash and having cover?
What are your plans for the back-half of the season? Let us know in the comments below!

A Bianco type is perfect for cover. Good JS, won’t make a stack of cash but can cover two lines.
For the same reason I wanted to keep Poulter, but it is looking like I need his cash to get the last couple guys in that I need.
He would have been brilliant cover fwd/mid.
Agree…if possible, I’ll have Poulter at Forward and Robertson sitting on the bench in the Mid.
