Rookie Review – Round 15

Written by Alza on June 25 2024

The last week of the byes is over and with that hopefully so is the need to field rookies.

There are some decent options on the horizon with Dowling, Kreuger, Strachan this week and possibly Schoenmaker and Evans next week. Dowling and Kreuger are the best 2 options although a lot of people have at least 1 of them already.

It is worth noting that at this stage of the year it is job security that we are after as any rookie that is traded in now will stay in our sides.

Players on the bubble are marked with an asterisk*

    1. Agree Wayne, I’m not sold on Kreuger’s JS, as long as Schoenmaker named I think a few will go early on him.

      1. He very well could be a placeholder until Cox is back which is about 2-4 weeks. But if he has 3 shots on goal a week and converts fairly well then he could stay in

  1. Rookie of the week Other: needed a $102k rook to be able to make my other trade to Houston… Threw some mud at the wall (with a bit of hope considering was named on field by Hinkley) and Logan Evans duly delivered. Watched some of the game and he made some errors but was in the game the whole day and looked ok.
Hopefully he stays in the team.

    1. Good shout JAMHED he was great for a 1st gamer in a team that was flogged.
He’s only 18 and showed enough so surely he stays in the side

  2. damn I went early on Schoenmaker instead of kruger to facilitate by final upgrade, but forgot he was covering for a couple of injured veteran saints. Hopefully he doesnt get the Garcia treatment by Ross

  3. I have 5 trades and struggling to finish my team, still need 2 upgrades. I have discovered a way of doing it by doing this, but involves trading Ryan

    out Ryan and hore
    in rozee and Simpkin.

If Simpkin can be regarded a premo, this completes my team with 3 trades left

    TU Yes, do it or
    TD no, don’t trade Ryan
