Fremantle (12.11.83) defeated by Collingwood (15.7.97)

  1. Jack Crisp (171). Super game from the super reliable Crisp. 29 touches with 2 goals and 6 marks plus 7 clearances, 18 contested touches and 709 metres gained.
  2. Andrew Brayshaw (154). Another super game from Andy. 34 touches (14 contested), 88% DE with 1 goal, 6 clearances and 5 tackles.
  3. Jordan Clark (146). Provided plenty of run off halfback with 33 touches, Clark also took 8 marks and had 4 tackles.
  4. Luke Ryan (120). Back to his best, Ryan had 30 touches with 12 marks with 87% DE and 527 metres gained.
  5. Jamie Elliot (116). Best forward on the night by far, Elliot kicked an equal career best 6 goals from 14 touches and 8 marks.

Other 100+ scores: Shai Bolton (114), Darcy Cameron (113), Luke Jackson (111), Caleb Serong (104)

Disappointment: Second week in a row for Nick Daicos (76). Dan Houston (64) also cold with just 12 disposals.

Rookies: Just Ed Allan for the Pies, playing his third game for a 47. The Dockers had Worner (57), debutant Simpson (53), Dudley (42), Reid (36) and third gamer Erasmus (18).

Injuries: Ruckman Sean Darcy is listed here with knee soreness and was subbed out. Schultz (concussion) had a big hit late but it was Sidebottom who got subbed out.

 

St Kilda (9.8.62) defeated by Carlton (11.11.77)

  1. Harry McKay (133). Great performance from McKay with 3 goals, including the sealer, from 19 touches and 10 marks roaming high up the ground.
  2. Jack Sinclair (124). Underpriced for his potential, Sinclair showed plenty of craft with 1 goal and 26 touches on Friday night.
  3. Jack Steele (111). Little bit of everything for the Saints captain. 20 touches, 9 tackles and 6 marks.
  4. Nick Haynes (105). Integral part of the Blues win, Haynes had 17 touches but importantly went at 88% DE. Also had 12 marks.
  5. Tom De Koning (104). A semi popular VC choice, TDK rounds out this top five with 21 touches (10 contested) plus 7 clearances and 36 hitouts.

Other 100+ scores: Rowan Marshall/Masiah Wanganeen-Milera (103), Patrick Cripps/Jack Silvagni (102), George Hewett (100)

Disappointment: If you’ve still got Garcia (40) he wasn’t close to it. Macrae (79) down vs last week.

Rookies: Motlop (60) used it well to boost his score, while his score was topped by Binns (65) in his first run in 2025. White (40) did enough to keep his cash generating going. Hall (77) continues to score well while next was O’Connell (49), Boxshall (38) and Collard (0).

Injuries: Higgins was subbed for the Saints with “illness”. McGovern had big hit to the chest which saw him off for monitoring at half time, while Cowan is also on the report with a hamstring.

 

Melbourne (7.14.56) defeated by Hawthorn (13.13.91)

  1. Max Gawn (142). Completely monstered Meek. 19 touches (15 contested), 79% DE with 7 marks, 6 clearances and 33 hitouts.
  2. Changkouth Jiath (132). Back to back 130s for Jiath. 25 touches with 9 marks @ 80% DE with 507 metres gained.
  3. James Worpel (122). Super game in the middle with 28 touches (14 contested) plus 6 clearances and 10 tackles.
  4. James Sicily (121). Back to some of his best as the Hawks skipper had 24 touches with 10 marks @ 88% DE.
  5. Jake Bowey/Kysaiah Pickett (106). Tied up Demons to finish. 28 touches with 9 marks for Bowey in another strong game, while Pickett had 17 touches, 2 goals and 9 tackles.

Other 100+ scores: Harvey Langford (101)

Disappointment: Oliver (64), Newcombe (57) or Meek (43), take your pick.

Rookies: Hustwaite (27) was subbed at half time, sick one. MacDonald (41) came on and played well. Langford (101) has been a great rookie and worth keeping for now, he kicked 3 goals. Lindsay (71) was solid as were Spargo (54) and Sharp (53) but Jefferson (1) was quiet.

Injuries: No injuries here, just Jefferson and Hustwaite being subbed out.

 

Essendon (11.5.71) defeated Sydney (8.15.63)

  1. Andrew McGrath (146). Had so much u contested ball in the backline with 29 of his 35 touches coming in that manner. 80% DE with 11 marks, 9 rebounds from 50 and 745 metres gained for the game.
  2. Nic Martin (145). Similar to McGrath, Martin had 38 touches (32 uncontested) with 8 marks, 586 metres gained, 10 rebounds from 50 and 6 inside 50s.
  3. Nick Blakey (136). Played a plus one role to perfection with 22 touches (21 kicks) and 13 marks plus 543 metres gained.
  4. Zach Reid (133). Keeps getting better. Career best score for Reid from 27 touches and 85% DE, also had a massive 14 marks.
  5. Mason Redman/Brodie Grundy (121). 32 touches for Redman with 1 goal to add to it all while going at 91% DE. Grundy was one of the Swans best with 1 goal, 23 disposals and 32 hitouts.

Other 100+ scores: Will Setterfield/Todd Goldstein (115)

Disappointment: Merrett (76) had company for most of the game. Roberts (72) had the most touches for the Swans with 26 but had his Dawson boots on with 62% DE and 7 clangers.

Rookies: Bice (71) was the best of the Swans rookies with Sheldrick (53) coming in after him despite being the sub. Cleary (35), Corey Warner (27), Hamling (10) and Paton (6) came after that. Prior was the best of the Bombers bar Reid, having a season best score of 93. El-Hawli (69) was very good as was Hayes (64) before an injury to his knee. Day-Wicks (33) made his debut and Kako (30) rounded it all out.

Injuries: Rough news with debutant Hayes suffering a suspected ACL. Paton was the tactical for Sydney. Blakey didn’t return after getting a high clip from Merrett but isn’t listed on any report.

 

Gold Coast (15.16.106) defeated Western Bulldogs (14.12.96)

  1. Tom Liberatore (132). Massive game from Libba, collecting 35 touches (15 contested) with 6 marks, 10 tackles, 10 clearances and 694 metres gained.
  2. Ed Richards/Bailey Dale (127). Another super game from Richards of 31 touches, 1 goal and 810 metres gained. I’m still annoyed with Dale and this game only infuriated me more as he compiled 31 touches and 652 metres gained.
  3. James O’Donnell (115). Best score of the season for O’Donnell. 18 touches with 11 marks and 89% DE.
  4. John Noble (106). Another dashing game off half-back for Noble. 23 touches with 1 goal @ 91% DE with 569 metres gained.
  5. Touk Miller (102). Kept the ton run going with 25 touches, 6 tackles and 5 clearances.

Other 100+ scores: Bodhi Uwland (100)

Disappointment: Witts (77) quiet, Flanders (66) has fallen off a cliff with just 10 touches. Frejiah (79) and Sanders (73) for the Dogs.

Rookies: Cleary (65) led the way for the Dogs ahead of Davidson (55). Just Walter (38) for the Suns.

Injuries: Holman was the tactical sub for the Suns, while guess who, Vandermeer (calf tightness) was listed on the injury report for the Bulldogs.

 

Port Adelaide (12.12.84) defeated by Adelaide (13.11.89)

  1. Connor Rozee (134). Won the Showdown medal for his 32 touches coming effort that also included 1 goal and 684 metres gained.
  2. Jason Horne-Francis (118). Important in a close contest. JHF had 1 goal, 20 touches and 4 clearances.
  3. James Peatling/Zak Butters (117). Peatling was great in the middle with 24 touches (11 contested) but importantly 12 tackles as well. Butters was super, accumulating 33 touches (16 contested) plus 10 clearances.
  4. Josh Worrell (115). Worrell is going from strength to strength and had another great performance of 23 touches and 5 marks.
  5. Riley Thilthorpe (113). Threatened to take this game away at times. 3 goals, 15 touches and 10 marks to round out the showdown.

Other 100+ scores: Miles Bergman (104), Ryan Burton (102), Ollie Wines (101), Reilly O’Brien (100)

Disappointment: Dawson (78) and his up and down season continued after some heavy attention. Should be good for 140 next week now though.

Rookies: McEntee (34) made his season debut here, while Moraes (24) returned to the side. Bar that is was just Lord (20). Just Curtin (22) for the Crows.

Injuries: Clean cards here, McEntee and Curtin the subs.

 

Richmond (11.15.81) defeated West Coast (11.13.79)

  1. Ryan Maric (126). Second big score in as many weeks for Maric, his 25 touches went at 80% DE. Had 470 metres gained and 5 rebounds from 50.
  2. Liam Baker (119). Against his old club, Baker held his head high with 22 touches, 6 tackles and 450+ metres gained.
  3. Jamie Cripps (118). Super busy all day as the linkman, finishing with 15 touches and 3 majors.
  4. Tim Taranto (108). Dominated early but faded as the game went on, Taranto still did enough with 27 touches (16 contested), 1 goal and 7 clearances.
  5. Jack Graham (101). The second ex Tiger to feature here, Graham was at his tackling best with 13 of them to pair with 20 touches.

Other 100+ scores: Zilch

Disappointment: Nankervis (84) had the dual ruck setup to deal with and was below his best.

Rookies: Best of the Tigers rookies was Lynch (87), who had 3 goals for the game. After him came Faull (77), Lalor (61), Trainor (46), first gamer Sims (45) and Green (20). The Eagles had Brock (60), Gross (46), Hewett (33) and Reid (18).

Injuries: No injuries on the report here. Archer Reid and Thomson Dow the tactical subs.

 

Geelong (14.17.101) defeated by GWS (16.9.105)

  1. Jesse Hogan (162). The difference in this one. 7 majors from 22 touches with 9 marks attached. Now just 2 behind in the Coleman.
  2. Bailey Smith (154). 35 touches, 8 marks and 10 tackles for Smith who is becoming a VC option with this form. Also 704 metres gained.
  3. Max Holmes (134). Bounced back after a few poor weeks with a 30 disposal, 7 mark, 5 tackle game in the middle that had 710 meters gained.
  4. Mark Blicavs (130). Super game from Blicavs, finding 20 touches (12 contested) plus 5 marks, 6 tackles, 1 goal, 9 clearances and 22 hitouts
  5. Tom Green (125). As per usual, found heaps of it with 37 touches (17 contested) as well as 1 goal and 6 clearances.

Other 100+ scores: Sam De Koning (117), Lachie Whitfield (116), Lachy Ash (113), Finn Callaghan (104)

Disappointment: My god Kieran Briggs (54) was a failed pick when he bottomed out, as he still currently falling in price.

Rookies: The Giants had a few youngsters in Angove (28, debut) and Delana (37, second game) here that could be downgrade options, the same with Fonti (29). O’Sullivan and his cash have dried up after this score of 49, while Clohesy (2) was subbed on. Jed Bews (95) made his season debut here,!he’s at 172K in defence.

Injuries: Stringer the only casualty here with a hamstring injury. Clark the sub for Geelong.

 

North Melbourne (10.11.71) drew with Brisbane (10.11.71)

  1. Tristan Xerri (186). Had a massive second half with I think around 130 points. Finished up with 19 touches (14 contested) plus 12 clearances, 8 tackles and 36 hitouts.
  2. Dayne Zorko (166). Huge with 39 touches of the footy (29 kicks) while going at 85% DE. 781 metres gained with 8 marks as well.
  3. Josh Dunkley (139). Best score since round 1 for Dunkley, his 27 touches and 8 tackles were combined with 10 clearances.
  4. Charlie Comben (133). Huge down back in this close contest. 21 touches, 9 marks (3 contested) with 95% DE.
  5. Luke Parker (129). Used his experience and impacted the contest well, finding 23 touches (13 contested) with 1 goal and 8 tackles to achieve this score.

Other 100+ scores: Hugh McCluggage (120), Ryan Lester (106), Harry Sheezel (101)

Disappointment: Neale (81) was average, as was Daniel (51).

Rookies: Fort played his third game which saw him rise 36K thanks to this score of 52, while Levi was good again thanks to a score of 77. Maley (18) was in his second game, while Duursma (19) wasn’t much better. Neither was O’Sullivan (24). Konstanty (66) and Hardeman (59) round out the Roos rookies.

Injuries: Concussion got Berry pretty early in the contest, while the Roos came away unscathed, Marley their sub.
