SC Racing Round 2

Written by Motts on October 7 2021

Round 1 of SuperCoach Racing has been run and won and there is a tearaway leader in SuperCoach Talk group. Matt’s stable Kah’nt scored a whopping 261 points to see that stable in 60th position overall. Great work Matt!

See below my thoughts on the Group 1 races this week where the big points are up for grabs and also feel free to join the group code 392619 (or league as they call it in SC Racing).

As always, note that the below is purely based off SuperCoach value and SuperCoach options and is in no way shape or form a betting preview of the races.

Caulfield – Race 6 Group 1 Might and Power

Very small field engaged here with only 6 horses means that every horse can lock in a minimum of 12 points and there is no price drops for any of the horses in this race due to there being less than 8 runners. Zaaki ($450,000) is by far and away the best option in this race but I wouldn’t stop there and would be looking to have multiple runners from this race. Probabeel ($475,000), Homesman ($400,000) and Nonconformist ($300,000) are great options as well.

Caulfield – Race 8 Group 1 Caulfield Guineas

Big field here but looks to have a very long tail and hopefully none of them impede the runs of the two standout options of Anamoe ($225,000) and Artorius ($175,000) in the race. Don’t complicate things too much here and lock in those two.

Caulfield – Race 9 Group 1 Toorak

A nice field assemble here for the Toorak. Some decent priced options here may allow you to pick more than one. Best options for me are I’m Thunderstruck ($200,000), Elephant ($200,000) and Dice Roll ($225,000).

Randwick – Race 8 Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes

The biggest gift in SuperCoach Racing has been delivered here, Profondo ($50,000) is bargain basement priced and is the favourite to take out a group 1 race. 100% of stables should be locking Profondo in. The options don’t end here and any of the following are great options to include as well; Head of State ($150,000), Never Been Kissed ($150,000) and Allegron ($125,000).

Good luck to all for this round of SuperCoach Racing. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on your stables for round 2 and don’t forget to join the group.

Cheers

  1. Good write up mate. Agree that Profondo is the biggest gift this week at $50k and fav in a G1. Coastwatch at $150k and odds on in a G2 is also a monty for all stables.
My captain this week is Zaaki and also picking Probabeel to run the quinella in the Might and Power.
Artorious and Anamoe to hopefully do the same in the Guineas.
I’m Thunderstruck to win the Toorak.
Last spot is a toss up between Head of State and Never Been Kissed.
JMac in the saddle should see me finish up with 300+ points.
    Easy!

  2. I’m not into racing, not one bit, but i got dragged into SC Racing by a few mates this year and after one round i’m hooked. It’s very easy to access and although i’m still not a horse racing fan, it’s great from the statistical side of things. Highly recommend it to ppl. If you like SC AFL i reckon you’ll enjoy SC Racing. Giddy Up!!

  5. Why take a G1 to run second when you can get a cheaper G2 to win (smaller field too, with short odds)??????

    1. Because if your second G1 horse runs second, it is the same as a G2 winner, but you get two cracks at the G1 40 pts. Also, if it runs any other place up to tenth, you are better off than a G2.
Horses in G2 not always cheaper.
