SCTTL: Round 8

Scoring for the Techies this week proved tough going with only two coaches going over 2100. Jack and his team Tooetd pulled off top score with 2179 thanks to a big Xerri captain score. Jack has a couple of handy semi PODs in Jackson and Heeney to stretch his margin. With 2159 Matt’s Go Hawks Tech was a clear second for the week, but a Grundy “C” was the difference between first and second.

Rounding out the podium was Julie and Tech Niggle, just shy of the 2100 mark with 2098, thanks to a very astute Max Holmes VC. Others in the top five were Barry and Barrie of Jumper Punchers fame and The Clash with 2094 and 2086 respectively.

With the completion of round 8, it is time to take count of the number of trades burned through to this point. For todays poll, that is the question. If you have maxed out your boosts and traded each week, you will have used up 19 trades. Is that you? Fill in the poll below and let us know where you stand. I’ve smashed out 17 and still cannot rise above 15th spot, but mainly because I make crap decisions. Put in some comments to help us see your situation.

At the end of Round 8, how many trades have you used ?

Finally, the list of the top ten at the end of round 8. WIth just over 300 points separating the top 15 or so, it’s still game on as we take inspiration from this week’s winner, Jack, who grabbed that score from 32nd position last week, proving the age old adage that “a week’s a long time in footy”.

  1. Thanks for the write up Jimmy. I was really starting to feel like I had a chance to win theis but 1986 this week feels rubbish. Strangely enough, I’ve not actually used a boost yet but think that will change this week to bring in Xerri plus the Richmond rookies.
