SCTTL: Tech Team Reveal

Written by JimmyDee on March 12 2024

Looking like another strong year for the Techies with more than 50 registrations thus far, albeit with some still to join the league.

Theme for the year is “loyalty” where all players named must be one club players and have played a minimum of three seasons. For rookies, the same rule applies with the exception that the three year minimum is waived if they have played zero games.

A further caveat making it extremely difficult to pick a balanced side is that all AFL clubs must be represented. Therein lies a challenge for the coaches, who I am sure will be up for it. We have several past champions, many regulars who perform very well and a bunch of newbies to spice it up. Last year’s winner, Brad, was a newbie, but trying for back to back may prove difficult as over the years, no-one has achieved the honour.

Please note, this is the team you start with – NO trading till round two. You can change the C and VC, bench players and loopholes if any, but absolutely ZERO trades until the end of round one. Teams with alien players appearing in the game day stats before the end of the round, will be excluded at the conclusion of round one, to keep it fair and honest for the group.

Not sure of the relevance of round one score predictors, but this team is predicted to score 109 more points than my classic team. Do hope that is not the case as I have changed my classic team 387 times and don’t like the idea of many more iterations.

Good luck everyone, and remember there are only forty trades!!

  1. Awesome team JD,

Looking forward to the challenge (and the fact that we get an extra week of ‘corrective’ trades, with all of these R2 bubble players).

    Good luck to all.

  3. Hey JD, I haven’t done tech league before but would be keen to give it a go as a true test of being a Super Coach. Can anyone join? If so what is the league code please. Cheers

    1. Send an email to:
      jimmydee @ supercoachtalk . com

You will need to send your Tech Team name and the name of the coach. (Commonly people use a partners name to avoid being seen with multiple teams)

This allows confirmation and JD will send the code for the league

      1. It was before I changed anything, be in the meantime when I transferred over to my version of projections I noticed they were not the same and appeared to be updated/changed and not only the players who had already played. Check it out, see what you think……

        1. This screenshot must have been taken before the round 0 scores were added. I can see Gawn now has a projected score of 101 and BE of 137, compared to the 108 & 104 in the screenshot.
This has probably changed the projected score

  6. First timer at this, So all trades from Round 2 onwards are under those caveats as mentioned for the whole season or just the starting squad?
If you trade in you must maintain one player from each side as a minimum?

    1. No Brendan, that is the starting caveat only. Once round 2 is live it is free for all and you can trade in whoever you want.
