  1. Dunkley is a tricky one, with him wanting out, but eventually staying and then Trealor coming in. Dunkley has never been the favoured midfield bull and even less so now, I’m guessing.

    1. However, if Dogs just play him as a forward, it ruins his trade value. If they play him in the mids where he belongs, they’ll get much more him.

      1. Firstly, I don’t know if that will be much of a consideration, it will be team first.
Second, not necessarily in the forward line, but playing make shift positions, like ruck. If the dogs only play one ruck as expected, then he may still fill in.

          1. My personal opinion is that what we saw last year with Dunkley’s role (and hence scoring output) is pretty much the worst case scenario for this year. Whilst there is a huge question mark on whether he will get that mid role where he can explode, I don’t think there is as much risk of regression as there is with the other premiums.
Dusty is about the only other premium forward who is fully fit and he has a history of both starting slowly and having the quiet weeks which makes him a typical upgrade target.
Unfortunately Marshall was the only forward who was a lock which has really thrown a spanner in the works. And the worst thing is the rookies look skinny this year which makes it harder to go light in the forward line.

  2. Danger was a starter until the groin negativity surfaced, with even the great man himself saying he “hoped” to be ready round one

There was a glimmer of hope in Blicavs’ presser where he suggested that even without a pre season Danger would come in and star as per Joelwood previously without a pre season and placed in the Brownlow. FWIW.
