  1. Hi community would love your opinion on these two options. This will complete my team after 1001 drafts

    Tu. Danger, H.Clarke & Waterman

    TD Phillips, Ridley/Stewart & dow

    1. Where you’re faced with two rookies with similar job security and scoring potential, it’s generally best to go the cheaper option.

Given that Essendon play Saturday night, I’d pencil in Cox for now and wait and see if Jones gets named before the Bombers game starts. That being said, surely you could take both these guys ahead of one of your other rookies at D6/7/8?

  2. TU – Walsh

    TD – Andy Brayshaw

I understand tog has been an issue for Andy but he still has the potential to absolutely explode, just slightly concerned about consistency. Walsh is a jet also but needs to clean up that DE a bit. Leaning towards the juicy pod in Andy rn

    1. Came here to ask this too! tempted to go brayshaw for the same reason, reckon his time and responsibility will increase again and tough to separate the two. Seems walsh is all the hype, but brayshaw may actually have more upside.

  3. Option 1: Martin/Dunkley F2, Fyfe M5, H Young D5

    Option 2: De Goey F2, Cripps M5, Crisp/Ridley D5

Have changed my mind 99 times, help me change it for the 1ooth!

  4. TU: short (36% of teams)

    TD: McDonald (2% of teams)

We know shorts form drops off with houli in the 22 .

McDonald in the second half of the season was unbelievable and should keep the same role? Or is that little rascal they call Ziebell going to affect him. He’d be a nice POD!!

    1. Cheers, thought it could have been close… $495k of faith in Rowell’s shoulder i guess, in what should be his first full season playing AFL footy for an average team.

      1. Pump.

Picking Rowell is a Shield. At his price and high ownership if he explodes and you miss the boat. you’re starting behind nearly half the comp.

        Butters is a sword.
He has a similar price. His low ownership ( for now ) means if you own him, and he explodes, you get a jump on nearly everyone.
But if he goes average, and the Shield goes well, then nearly everyone gets a jump on you.
Also the thing with Swords. If they really light it up, then there ownership spikes and Shields they become.

        Sword or the Shield ….

You need both but given the choice.

Give me a Shield to start. I will find my Swords along the way.

    1. On last night performance. Yes 🙂

There might be few going Cripps to Walsh in a few weeks if this scoring keeps up.

      Me included 😉

  5. TU: go with Gawn and Grundy, leaving no money in the bank
TD: go with Gawn and someone cheaper (ROB/Goldstein) and save some money

  6. TU Dow
    TD Warner

need one of them onfield and will have to miss the other. Is paddy worth the extra $

  7. Is Clarke a genuine D4 option to free up cash and a pod ? He could average 100 ish with a midfield role and seems floor priced

TU : yeah could be a last upgrade

TD : don’t get sucked in

  8. Anyone else nervous about Goodwin saying in today’s herald Sun that they will be playing Gawn forward alot more? Is this chewing into his ruck time or going forward to rest instead of the bench?

  9. T/U – L.McDonald (Nth)
    T/D – B Smith ( Ade)

Who is likely to give better average ….. I have not seen their form this pre-season or know of their roles for this year…. comments???
I could use the money by going B Smith but dont want to sacrifice too many ppg.

  10. Darcy (Freo) is expected back sooner than Marshall & Ryder (StK).
Therefore Hunter has better JS than Meek.

    T/U Correct
    T/D Wrong

    comment if wrong.

  12. Folks – I just want to stress – we have rolling lockouts this weekend.
You do not need to finalise your complete side tonight.

Don’t panic – you just need to make sure you have selected any players for tonight’s match only that you want – give yourself the rest of the night and tomorrow to make further decisions

AND – make use of the BYE PLANNERS! Build your teams and various options in there to see if they work and how they balance – save different versions!
This way, you can make sure that you have the choices made there, and save being inadvertently locked out on the site!!

    Good luck all!!

  13. TU
    Docherty & Lachlan Jones

    TD
    Crisp & Chugg

Looking for some cover in defence.
Jones still yet to be named…

  14. I have 100k burning a hole in my pocket. I got two real options here. Or a 3rd is sit on the money and wait.

    TU: Phillips -> butters

    TD: Rowell -> dangerfield/Fyfe

Down Below : hold the cash

  15. TU : Rowell

    TD: Dangerfield

Will eventually move danger from my midfield to fwd line as I upgrade.

  16. Only have 330k in the bank left and need a mid, I already have Dow and can’t see a way to free up cash for Caldwell. Im considering Tyson who historically can score well and is at a great price but will he get good mid minutes at north??

TU: Chuck him in he will break into the mid rotation
    TD: Not worth the risk

Pls comment any suggestions for other mid pricers who are better if TD

    1. I’ve got him and tbh, i don’t fully know why i’ve got him. He’d have to be on his last chance in the AFL system so you’d imagine that he’d be giving it his all. Will the body hold up though?

  17. Considering a small last minute change to the side.

    TU: Dunkley, Brayshaw (Freo)
    TD: Danger, Taranto

  18. My last 3-way coin toss is for M2. One of Oliver, Steele, or Macrae. All about the same price and ownership. I can only take 1 and bye structure is ok either way.

Oliver limited pre-season. Can he run out 4 quarters in faster flowing games?
Macrae gets it done every year but how much effect will Treloar have?
Steele clearly the #1 Saints onballer but can he back up from last year?

    TU Steele
    TD Oliver

    Comment: Macrae

  19. Less of a table for two, more of a sanity check.

I’m rolling with Lyons at M4. His scoring from halfway through 2019 has been elite but he’s somehow only got 1% ownership. I don’t get it. Am i missing something?

Thumbs Up – Shhhh. Keep quiet. You’ve struck gold.
Thumbs Down – Are you crazy? What are you doing? Are you new to all this?

    1. Roo Bloke.

Was slated for more forward time 2-3 weeks ago to give youngsters like Rayner a go in the guts. Some peeps tippy Bailey to maybe get a run now that Rayner is hurt. I’m sure he gets his mid minutes but why take the risk. His age and ceiling aren’t pointing to many chances of improvement.
I much prefer Bont or Merrett at just $20k more.

  20. T/U Bergman

    T/D H. Jones

My read is Bergman will probably score more, but could get dropped when Hartlett is fit.I would start him at F6.

H Jones looks to have decent JS, but playing forward at the Bombers? He might be a slow burn.
I would then start Rowe / Scott at F6.

  21. No known loops (at this stage) on the midfield line, so who scores better and should be on field (and is JS better?):

    T/U – Berry
    T/D – Downie
