Despite his pleadings of insecurity and uncertainty in holding off the pack, the Wiley Fox (cleverly disguised as Glenda the kitten) beat all the traps and scored the number one podium spot with a masterful 2501. I think his Techiewannabees deliberately set out to lull the opposition into a false sense of security and they took it easy on him just when they had the opportunity to bridge the gap to the top.
Five other coaches cranked it up this round with scores of 2400 plus, led by second place getter BogEyes Ralph on 2474. Gotta be happy with that Barrie.
Holding on to score third place was the Comfortably Numb team coached by Michael with 2455. Credit to the folk with 2437 (Ninius), 2414 (Tumultuos Tons) and the increasingly dangerous RoMo Tech with 2410. Well done to all the coaches above, and those valiantly fighting to stay in the hunt with some pretty handy high 2300 scores.
Let us know in the comments if you think you still have a chance and how you plan to stop the Techiewannabee from taking out two titles in the space of three years. Good luck and good playing for the run home.

Happy with BogEyesRalph 2474 considering I carried a donut.
Decided to hold Parish & English on the bench instead of trading them because as coach of PhilGilbertAllstars last season I went bezerk with the early trades which caught up to me late season.
Poor performances from Mills, Heeney, Sinclair, Anderson and Lipinski hurt the Ninjas Tech side this week.
Glenda getting away from the pack now and very difficult to catch him/her!
2 trades left and no point stopping now – all depends if English plays but if he doesn’t then he’ll have to go and I’ll bring in some sort of POD mid and def to finish off the team.
A finish in the top 5 remains possible but I’ve learned my lesson on trades so Glenda better watch out next year!
I still think you may have me covered Ninja!
It comes down to our different players … and, on paper and statistics, your players will tend to outscore mine over the coming weeks, if the trends continue … plus you don’t have the headache of Stewart … and I don’t have the trades to counter …
It may be a good week to just watch what unfolds I am thinking …
Nice write up JD as always and again, awesome work on running this Tech league comp – by far and away the most enjoyable part of SC!!
I got very lucky having Stewart … which is also now very unlucky having him … and very lucky that some of those chasing me with some very handy and usually high scoring players (mids) also all failed this round … I don’t think that will continue sadly for my side over the coming weeks … and they will again close off the gap and overrun me … as I do not have the trades left to counter some of their better performing players than mine!!
I can only hope and pray to the SC Gods to be kind to my side (though they have already smote me with Stewart!!)
My team finally managed to score massively at 2449 being 3rd for the week!
Where has this been all season!
I had to field Rioli to cover Parish and I had Daicos on the bench where it would have been massive if he was played over Ryan
4 trades left and I have a M9/F7 loophole when English returns.
Of course I managed to lose my match this week even being the 3rd best score….. Sitting bottom of the ladder in the league…..
My bad Nato, I took Bog Eyes as the winner in bold and must have skipped over yours. Actually fourth for the week, excellent score. Comfortably Numb joined the wrong league at the start and we sorted out their score from round one and if at all necessary at the end I will add it manually. That why he’s not in the group as he’d be effectively one round behind everyone. His actual score is just under 29,000 and he’s in 32nd place. Hope that clears it up a bit.
Ah that makes a lot more sense!
I also must ask about the Comfortably Numb team, as I cannot spot it in the Tech team group.
Is that maybe a team in Tech league 3 that was then filled by random coaches?
They’re in league number 2, on 27,836 overall
Wow that is strange, as I am in League 1 but I don’t see their score in the group. Mine is Tech Difficulties and the group has me in 3rd.
This is where I wonder if I’m not in an updated group as I am in the ‘SCT Tech Leagues’ group that sees the 2400 plus scores of all the other coaches
Yeah, not sure why they’re not showing up in the group
I’ve just looked and seen that is their total score not rank
I fear the TumultuousTons have left their run too late, need some huge luck to real in the last 900 pts. Team is done though with 3 trades left, so we never know.
This comp has been far more rewarding than the main game for me, thanks again for running it JD
